Team Germany Announces Training Camp Invitees

Team Germany has announced the players that will be participating in the training camp prior to this year’s IHF WC tournament. Out of this pool of players, the final roster will be selected. Since it’s very likely that some players will not be able to participate because they are playing in the Challenge Cup Finals, the German Hockey Federation has nominated a bigger number of players than in the years prior. There will be quite a few NWJHL-players in this year’s camp as well and everyone will get a fair chance to make the team. There also still is an outside chance for players not on this list to make the team, but it’s very slim and right now I don’t expect anyone not invited into camp to make this team.

The roster will be trimmed down to 23 players over the next two weeks, expect the first wave of cuts around the weekend.
Newly appointed Team Germany GM David Winter also announced his assistant for this year’s tournament. It will be Joe McKeil from the Hamilton Steelhawks who came in a close second in the race for the GM position and will now lead the team together with his friend Winter. The Team Captains and Alternates will be announced when the roster is finalized.

Great. IHF is mah thang... Except there are a lot of good centers on that list.

Looks good, hopefully I can make the team.

Good to go with McKorsy. Like always, guys not on the list can be used to fill space in net if necessary.

Hopefully I will be unavailable due to the Dragons being in the Finals.
