<div align="center">As Season 28 has come to a close, the Colorado Mammoths Organization would like thank everyone on the team for a wonderful season and many more to come! Even though it was a tough loss in the conference finals, the team played above expectations and should be very proud! With many of the veterans probably getting sent-up for this upcoming season, management is looking to create another successful season with the newly drafted rookies and sophomores. Without further ado, the Mammoths would like to reward some key players with the 4th annual Colorado Mammoths Awards. There will be a total of 9 awards given out to those who stepped up on and off the ice.
The Team Leadership Award Jacob Andrews! The first award of the night goes out to starting goalie Jacob Andrews for this tremendous leadership on and off the ice. He has been extremely steady between the pipes and has been a great veteran presence in the locker room and outside the arena. He has always kept a positive attitude even if things weren’t going so well and was arguably the best player on the ice for the Mammoths this season. This is back-to-back years Andrews has won the award and we hope his leadership skills continue to rub off on the rest of his teammates! Previous Winners: S25 Winner - Charlie Conway S26 Winner - Tim Buckner S27 Winner - Jacob Andrews The Most Dedicated Player Award Dickie Pecker! The second away of the night goes to Dicker Pecker for his dedication to the game and the sport as a whole. Every time he’s on the ice, whether it is practice or games, he is always giving his 100% and the management has been extremely impressed. He always has the mindset of hockey when he shows up to the arena. His dedication to the Mammoths has warranted him this award as this is also back-to-back season in which he has won it. Andrews and Pecker have been great leaders and great example of dedications to the sport of hockey. Previous Winners: S25 Winner - Carson Shymr S26 Winner - Sim Browski S27 Winner - Dickie Pecker The Tim Buckner Trophy - Awarded to the top two-way forward Sim Browski! This is only the second year this award has been handed out to Mammoths players’ and this is also going to back to last year’s recipient, Sim Browski! He put up 8 goals and 14 assists for a total of 22 points this season but he was a beast on the defensive side of the ice. He ended the regular season with a monstrous 223 hits along with 12 blocked shots. He also notched in 2 game winning goals and 1 game tying goal. He was also able to get 5 points in the playoffs along with 55 hits. His presence on the ice has caught the attention of many players in the SMJHL and his workhorse trait has giving the coaches an easy time doing their job. Previous Winners: S27 Winner - Sim Browski Top Forward Charlie Conway! This year’s top forward award is a new face after Potato Chips and Tony Pellegrino took the awards the first three seasons. With the departure of the veteran players to the SHL, Charlie Conway has broken through as the leading forward for the Mammoths offense. He lead the team with 21 goals this season, 10 more than the next player as well as 18 assists for a total of 39 points. He also finished with a +/- of +12 and 130 shots for a 16.15% shooting percentage. He added three game winning goals and 3 game tying goals. He excelled in the playoffs getting 11 points in 13 games played. He leads the team in points during the regular season and the playoffs with being the top goal scorer. He will be the prime scoring threat on the Mammoths for the following seasons or will become a great scorer on any SHL squad. Previous Winners: S25 Winner - Potato Chips S26 Winner - Tony Pellegrino S27 Winner - Potato Chips The Kristoffer Ruud Trophy - Awarded to the top defenseman Richie Pecker! This award has only had one winner for the three seasons that it has been around and he now owns the name of the award. The Kristoffer Ruud Trophy is going to Richie Pecker this season as we feel that he was the best defenseman on the team this season. He lead defenseman in points with 27 adding 40 penalty minutes and a +4. He also had 55 hits and 54 blocked shots showcasing his great defensive abilities. With his ability to move the puck smoothly across all surfaces of play and easy strides, he can eat up tons of minutes and produce on an elite level. Richie is looking to be the new face of this top defenseman award as he is the prime option to win this award every year. Previous Winners: S25 Winner - Kristoffer Ruud S26 Winner - Kristoffer Ruud S27 Winner - Kristoffer Ruud Top Goaltender Jacob Andrews! No question in this choice. Jacob Andrews wins this award for the third straight year in a row as the best goalie for the Mammoths. After winning the starting job from Lee Bowden, he has performed extremely well and has been producing at the highest level. Whether he is playing in back of veterans or a bunch of new faces, he is always at the top of his game and looking to get better. He has become one of those names to fear in the SMJHL and rightfully so. We are excited to present Jacob with this award and hope he continue his recent success for the Mammoths. This is his 2nd award of the night with a few big ones left! Previous Winners: S25 Winner - Lee Bowden S26 Winner - Jacob Andrews S27 Winner - Jacob Andrews Top Rookie John Jeeples! The top rookie award goes to John Jeeples for Season 28. He put up sold production for his rookie season as he added 6 goals and 5 assists for a total of 11 points. He was able to get 51 shots off on target and blocked 12 shots showing his defensive abilities. However, he was able to add in 3 game winning goals which is an exceptional feat for a rookie. It is hard to come into a team being the only rookie on the offensive side but he was able to find his stride throughout the season. We would like to congratulate John Jeeples on his retirement and are glad to have him finish his career as a Mammoth and with an award on his shelf. Previous Winners: S25 Winner - Potato Chips S26 Winner - Richard Douglas S27 Winner - Jhonas Ville Season MVP Jacob Andrews! The Season MVP award this season goes to none other than goalie Jacob Andrews for his third award of the night. In the 44 games he played this season in front of the net, he was able to finish with a 19-16-8 record. His save percentage was 0.904% and finished with a 2.17 goals against average. He also posted 5 shutouts and 995 total saves on 96 goals against. He also chipped in on the offensive side with 4 assists of his own. The Mammoths didn’t have a single player reach the 40 point mark this season so they relied heavily on Andrews to keep them in most of their games. His record might not seem the best but the players and the management know what he did for this team during the season. We were able to finish 2nd in the Eastern Conference because of his stellar play and extreme leadership qualities. He is very deserving of this award! Previous Winners: S25 Winner - Potato Chips S26 Winner - Kristoffer Ruud S27 Winner - Potato Chips Playoff MVP Jacob Andrews! The final award of the night is the playoff MVP award and this once again goes to Jacob Andrews for his 4th award of the night. In 13 games in the playoffs, he posted a 7-5-1 record along with a save percentage of 0.908%. He finished with a superb 1.84 goals against average and also posted 3 huge shutouts. He saved 262 shots and let in only 24 goals. He also added 2 assists bring his total to 6 on the entire season. His playoff performance was truly inspiring and even with the heartbreak loss in game 7 of the conference finals, he deserves a lot of credit for getting the team all the way there. This award caps of an exceptional season for Jacob Andrews and we hope he can duplicate these performances for season to come! Previous Winners: S25 Winner - Lee Bowden S26 Winner - Kristoffer Ruud S27 Winner - Charlie Conway Congratulations too all the winners, especially Jacob Andrews, coming away with four huge awards for the team! We wish everyone the best of luck in their future endeavors whether it will be back on the Mammoths or in the SHL! We would also like to wish the rest of SMJHL and SHL teams the best of luck for the upcoming season!</div>
