Panthers/Comets

Blow me Kruze, you have no idea how bad I felt trading you so soon after coming back with the loyalty you showed to the team, but with our forward depth we HAD to trade at least one or 2 forwards otherwise wed have actives playing 4th line minutes or in the juniors and I guess it was easiest to choose the guy who was inactive for the past couple seasons.. If I knew how everything else would unfold afterward I'd probably undo this deal but hey its too late now. Whether you're mad at me or not I still wish you best of luck in LA. And I know you were gone but the Comets went to shit big time after you and rest of the whole team went inactive, which was long before Seth or I were a part of the team, I'm actually amazed at how that team that Seth inherited turned into the strong young team we have now.

Anyway best of luck and keep your head up on the ice after talking shit bout my team

Oh and btw the Comets could have voided this at the draft but didn't.

Just putting it out there but you could of asked for a no trade clause if you took a "hometown" discount. Players have the responsibility to protect themselves, it can't all be on the team.

But good luck in your new home

Nowhere in the clause does it specify that they can't trade the pick away and then get it back. All it says is the trade is void if, while holding the 5th pick at the time of the draft, they are unable to select one of three specific people. If that condition was not met (and it wasn't as the case happened) then the trade should be voided.

Then he shouldnt have been able to trade a pick he didnt technically own, cant have it both ways.

Only thing I'm not impressed with here is that I know for a fact that I took a discount to re-sign and stay in my hometown with the Comets, only for them to turn around and trade me. I should've been on the open market as a free agent if they had designs on moving me, but not this.

Thankfully it was to a Western team and that LA is/was on my shortlist of teams that I would enjoy playing for should I have opted for free agency.

To the old :comets: management team (MacDonald):
Thank you for bringing me home from Hamilton and having enough faith in my player for so long, despite my long hiatus. The last of the true winners in Edmonton.

To the current :comets: management team (Seth/Wadey): Not much I can say to you guys, except kiss my ass. Not only did you sign and trade me, but you've really taken monster steps backwards and turned what was once a prestigious team and organization to play for in the is league into a complete sham. I took a pay reduction to stay and I'm turfed at the first opportunity, so, I look forward to the first meeting vs. the :comets: this season so I can cram it up your collective asses and show you what you lost for a few measly picks! Enjoy your "Boys Club", gentlemen. Have my update thread moved to the Panthers locker room please

To my new team Panthers: Congratulations on working a deal out to acquire one of the best 2-way/Power Forwards in the game at a reasonable price. I welcome the opportunity for a fresh start and judging by your initial messages after the trade, I'm looking forward to playing with your organization, my role with the team and bringing the championship to Los Angeles. Let's get'er done!

Huh :( <_< :D  Popcorn

LOL Moles & Trolls... Moles & Trolls... Rolleyes

How about you remove your two bottom ribs and blow yourself instead, Wadey?! I mean, seriously... Coming back and saying NOW that you'd undo the trade or you could've voided the deal is kinda moot, considering neither happened nor did you have any intention of reversing the deal anyways. You traded me for absolutely nothing... kudos to the Panthers for having the foresight on that one. And now the Comets are worse off than they were before the trade.

You should feel bad after I came back the way I did, re-signed with you then you turn around and trade me as soon as the ink dried. It's atwo-faced move and a backhanded slap to the face to me. In fact, you and Seth should be ashamed of yourselves for this and for flushing the Comets down the proverbial toilet. The organization has no integrity or honor anymore... I hope you can live with that.

How would you know that? You haven't been active until now...lol
You would've played on the 4th line anyways. Since we have about 8 players that are better/more active than you on forward..

It's giving you a better opportunity on another team since we basically no room.

Also, getting mad over this, lulz.

Who's mad, Tylar? Did you not notice I was laughing through that entire thing? Wink It's more the principle of it than anything else. If they would've kept me and played me on the 4th line, as most of them keep saying, then 1) they lied to me when I re-signed, saying that I'd be getting atleast 3rd line minutes. 2) They have no clue as to the quality they actually had or even have. So, effectively, 3) You're probably right. I am better off playing for an organization that actually appreciates loyal, active talent than one that will trade off that kind of talent for 3 useless conditional picks that they didn't even get. Their loss is the Panthers gain.

As I said, atleast they were smart enough to trade me to a team I like.

Really? "LAswaggg" from you? What happened to the intelligent, literate person I know you to normally be? Even "swag" is bad enough, but in no context should it have 3 G's. Tongue

(obvious joke is obvious)
