FHM NHL Re-sim 1931-2016
#1

So guys, I did a re- simulation of the NHL from 1931-2016 to see what would change, the answer is... A lot, so my question is there anything you'd like to know?

NOTE: This was completely hands off, teams still moved regardless of success

For myself, The Bruins only won the Cup 3 times, last in 1941... So I like real life better.

Habs, how many cups.

What do Koivu's individual numbers look like. Does he stay with the Habs instead of leaving?

“The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again. ... There are neither beginnings nor endings to the Wheel of Time. But it was a beginning.”

Habs have won 19 cups with the last coming in 1999-2000.

Saku spent some time with Chicago, Nashville, and Colorado capturing 2 titles with the Avs, he had 578 points (166 goals, 412 assists) and retired in 2011, his best season was in 2001-02 with 70.

Does Jagr keep playing till he's like 43?

Does Richard lose legend status or does he have similar stats?

Where does Gretzky play? Is he nearly as good as in real life?

Jagr plays until he's 40 putting up 54 points in his last season, he retires with 1260 points over 1407 games. He even won the MVP in 2007. Surprisingly he never scored over 100 points in his career. Unfortunately, LA where he spent his whole career never won a title.

Richard retired in Chicago, where he spent his whole career, putting up 1153 points in 1089 games he was a three MVP, He won 3 (?) cups I believe.

Gretzky is the GOAT, Spending his entire career in QC/Colorado he scored 1,100 goals, 2744 points, 10 MVPS, 5 scoring titles 9 points titles.. AND ZERO CUPS. I don't even think the ever got to the finals with him despite being seeded high in his entire career.

Ray spent his whole career (minus one year) in Edmonton. Never winning a title.

Thornton: Spent basically his whole Career in San Jose, (some things just work out I guess) winning 1 Cup in 09. He was 3 time MVP and retired with 1077 points

Allison: only played 10 years, retired at 29 for the Rangers, ending with 493 points in 713 games

Carter: Was a complete bust, 133 points over 469 games, 9 years in the league with Washington Pittsburgh, and New Jersey.

Sabres win 2 cups, in 1981-82 and in 1983-84

Pronger: 370 points over 817 games, ended at a career -5 played only until 2008.
