Before you explicitly ask for my application, however doubtful that prospect is, I was "bitching" out of principle. Like [I think] Finn said, it doesn't make sense for a Commissioner of a league to be appointed by the previous person. It should be open to everyone so that an esteemed and/or experienced member can be selected.
EDIT: In fact, the appointing of Merica as advisor puts my mind as ease as far as HFFO appointing a successor is concerned. With him there, as HFFO said in his shockingly articulate announcement, at least nothing gratuitously soft will be done without a head office fight.

The principle is right, but I knew that having Merica would quell the concerns most people have with me and show that I'm interested in improving the SMJHL for everybody.
