I didn't single you out. I'm just saying, I opened this thread to see what was being discussed, and from the first page it's been nothing but attacking another site. "I'd deeply recommend people not join this league, unless the owner has decided that he's not too lazy to update more than 12 players in the sim engine a week. Absolutely impossible to be one of those 12 unless you spend more time talking in that league's discord server than what most people invest in the SHL to actually get a good player."

The entire first page is promotion and praise until this post from Avakael comes up. It's not a douchey post. It's not an overly negative post. It's just him honestly saying he doesn't recommend the league and it descends from there. People should be allowed to share their opinions lmao especially about a shit league with a gay owner who's talking shit about our community which is eons ahead of his

Wow shit league with a gay owner......that sounds pretty toxic. As a new member to this league I have to say this is absolutly fucked up. Regardless of of how the gshl works or dosnt work it got me into SIM hockey. This thread has turned into a fucking dumpster fire and it was not caused by gshl members. I honestly don't know if I want anything to do with this league at this point. People one both ends really need to grow the Fuck up.

I'm in both leagues and I enjoy both for different reasons .
SHL for the years I've invested in here off and on as my activity ebbs and flows, has been at times a steady weary grind.
I was here long before discord and I still at times prefer the lockerroom environment. SHL like any sim still fluctuates depending on the members it's been good damn good some times and it's been a shit storm, depends on who you come across and their agenda.
SHL does seem to be a little more settled in the past 2 years but, that at times is at the cost of creativity and humor. If I read one more graph based statistical war and peace length opus and I swear I'll choke the F outta somebody.
GSHL is a slightly different and less complicated take by combining the NHL video game with a discord based community and its just going thru growing pains. The core is sometimes a little TOO young. And that might be its Achilles heel. The play by play broadcasts are highly enjoyable and if they would combine the video& radiocasts there's a YouTube gold mine there.
If you know the EA game you should have little trouble in creating a great player regardless of your discord activity level. I'm only on there maybe 1 hour total a every other day. I think if you give it a try you get out of it as much fun as you want.
It seems kind of counterproductive to slam an affiliate this early on.
Are there things I'd do differently if I was in charge ...Yes, but there's elements here in SHL I could/would change too.
I just want to enjoy both.
