There’s an NBA team named the Colorado Raptors?
Ahh yes - the Chicago Yankees and Houston Red Sox would be very original sim league names. Can't wait for the Kansas City Celtics, Boston Knicks and New York Cubs. All such original names.
Your stance on this is pretty weak. Did you know in the SEC College Football there are THREE teams named "Tigers" and TWO named" Bulldogs" IN THE SAME CONFERENCE. You calling "Raptors" not unique is bullshit and it shows how weak you're gonna strawman this. There are teams called the Knights, Raiders, Falcons and Whalers in this league which are all names used or have been in professional sports multiple times over. Raptors is used by ONE team in the Top 4 professional sports and you'd have to dig to minor league baseball to find another team named Raptors, shut up already. Keep hating, it's a good look for you.
One of the best brands in the SHL is the Panthers and that's a very common sports team name. Two in the major 4 leagues
Thank you
When I first took over LAP I asked if I could possibly rename the franchise and I was told No, so I just went with what we had which is most definitely one of the most commonly used sports team names, and had to make it unique and different than the other "Panthers" out there. As long as I am in the league LAP will never change.

I hate the Raptors name in real life (I think it's stupid). I'm not against unoriginal names at all. I hated the rebrand (and think it's dumb for an SMJHL to rebrand for no reason), but your boy incite brought it up that it was original. So I just said it wasn't original (which it isn't). And that it's a bad name (which it is).

Cool and your opinions means jack shit to anyone in Colorado. Keep hating more, there was no reason for your stupid comment in the beginning, now you just look plain stupid.

Actually Incite said the logo was unique, which it is. They rebranded because people really didn't like the mammoth brand, and logo. It's not a bad name, that's just your opinion, and you have provided nothing to back up why you feel that way.
You're spouting shit for nothing, everything you said was wrong, and you look like a fucking idiot.

The news came to me late as I was busy with other stuff, surrounding Playoffs and then IIHF right away. Also I guess it is my own fault that I sadly kicked myself out of the PGF lockerroom therefore did not have say in this, so I will give my say rn.
I totally am against this re-brand, as a former and true PGF alumni I cannot accept a re-brand from a former knights player, a team that we were said to be our biggest enemy! And you can see the influence of the knights here as now we have another team that is related to military! Knights, now Armada. Of course there is Militia as well, but I do not know the past of that brand, maybe it was a former knight as well who made it.
As many already said - PGF was a historic team, historic brand that always contributed to the league by creating the best players out there. I do not see no reason why there would be talks about re-brand as the logo was not that bad, there were teams with worse brands. In general I am really disappointed and I feel like I just lost my family! You took and destroyed an identity for a lot of alumnis!

I'm also a Firebirds alum. I won a cup as a Firebird. I was a knight for 1 season, and was Co-GM of the Firebirds for that entire season.
I'm genuinely sorry you feel that way about the rebrand. I hope you give us a chance to show you that that Firebird spirit lives on in the Armada.

When you want to change something about the team brand wise you start with polishing it up, updating, so instead of re-designing you went all in for a total re-branding. What Im gonna tell my kids now? "Your daddy played for an awesome team called Prince George Firebirds when he was young!" and when they gonna ask "Uu, daddy, can we go see them?" all there will be left to do is to tell them "Sorry kids, it does not exist anymore, now it Armada!"
