Where is Cameron Dubois now? After fulfilling season with the New England Wolfpack, Dubois decided to leave the team one season after a management change. We were able to catch up with Cameron Dubois a few years after that fact. When we tracked him down, he was now back in his hometown of Sydney, Australia. The defenseman had been back for a few years in his home country and was now working on a kangaroo farm. He showed us a bit his day to day life on the farm. It’s started by feeding the animals and most of his day was spent answering tourist questions. At the end of the day, he had to make sure everything was clean in the animal section and he had to verify everything was properly sealed so the animals couldn't manage to escape. Once everything was done, he was usually going to some beer league hockey in order to remember the good old day from when he was in the league.

SHL Where Are They Now? - Alex Winters

After being traded away from Manhattan after his rookie season with the team, Winters went on to have a very successful career that included many Cups and awards. Who cares about that though, we're here to talk about where the old fuck his now. If you take a plane to Anchorage, Alaska, then hop on those death machines that are prop engine planes just a bit north, you'll land on an airfield. After a swift 15 minute walk south, you will find a cabin. In that cabin, you will find Alex Winters, or Old Man Winters as the village calls him (apparently the prop plane ride was just a way to get us to spend another $500 dollars, the prick lives like five minutes outside of Anchorage). On his wall are photographs reminding him of his career, and dart board that has Sulak O'Hritea's face as the bullseye. "He always wanted me traded, the Swiss bastard," quipped Winters after we followed him around for the day. It being Alaska, the only thing really to do was drink or fight the local wildlife population of wolves and moose.

Sadly, we didn't see any wildlife. On the bright side, we did get to see Winters try fight a statue, then try to make love to the statue before being shoo'd away from the presumable owner of said statue. The odd thing was, Winters hadn't even had a drink of alcohol at that point. Following the statue incident, we were brought to the local ice rink, where the owner told us in not so kind words to get out and stop "filming washed up hacks who didn't even have the amount of talent that the Great One had in his left testicle." The rest of the day was surprisingly similar, with various locals telling us to leave them alone or that Old Man Winters had no talent and coasted off the success of others. Anyways, the documentary on the Portland Admirals franchise will be on in a few minutes, so stay tuned in for that.

Jussi Hammanen had a limited career in the system. Drafted 22nd overall in the Season 41 draft by the Seattle Riot, he would stay two additional seasons with the Vancouver Whalers, failing to win the Four Star Cup in his three seasons in the SMJHL, including a defeat in the finals to the three-time champion Kelowna Knights. The Finnish two-way defenseman called it a career after the heartbreaker that established the Knights, at least for that time, as a juniors dynasty.

In the time since his retirement, Hammanen has gone back to his hometown of Lahti, Finland to take up a coaching position for the Lahti Pelicans in the Finnish Liiga. The Pelicans have booned under Hammanen's leadership, winning the Kanada-malja 5 times in his tenure and the European championship. Hammanen was solid as the defense coach early in his career, and his leadership skills shone from the bench when he was asked to take on the head coaching mantle.

It has been so long since the days of the MacIntyre-Hammanen rivalry, plus that stint late in Season 42 when they were Vancouver Whalers teammates. MacIntyre found his calling on the ice. Hammanen found his at ice level, though on the other side of the wall from it.

Where are they now? Noah Konn!

Throughout his entire career, Noah Konn was always so nice to Harvey Danger, even though Danger was picked 3rd and Konn 10th, although Konn was always going to be the better player. In the locker room and on the ice, he was always really supportive, but towards the end of their careers, it was clear the Konn was close to snapping.

So turns out Konn played the long con. He had a kid, Nicholas Cage Konn (named after his favourite actor) and became a General Manager himself. Harvey Danger also had a kid, Bruce Lee Danger, and both the children played hockey. One day, Konn became GM of an SHL team and both the kids were up in the draft. Konn had the third overall pick and he did something crazy. He picked his own son with the third pick, forcing Danger's son to be drafted by the Seattle Riot. So Danger's son quit hockey and Noah Konn laughed all the way to the Hall of Fame.

For the first time in years, Anders Christiansen has come across one of his old teammates while walking down the street in Oslo, the capital city of Norway. He came across his old teammate goaltender Tommy Tuck who was also drafted in the same year as him in S39. Christiansen and Tuck played together for the Prince George Firebirds at the SMJHL level and for the Toronto North Stars in the SHL until Tuck was traded to Edmonton during S43. They also both represented Norway at the international level.

Christiansen asked Tuck what he was up to in his life. Tuck answer that his time in North America introduced him to a new hobby that he transforms into a company later on. He developed a passion for American Football and he is now running a Football fantasy website. With the same company, he organized trips from cities all around Europe to go watch American Football in the United States. Tuck also said that he never put on his old pads once he retired from the SHL.

Friedrich Koenig was one of the most anticipated prospects to come out of the s39 draft, however expectations were tempered as Koenig was a safe player but it was quick to see that his ceiling wouldn't reach superstar levels. Buffalo with their exceptional defensive depth lucked out with the opportunity to take a character player in friedrich. His character has been one of the major reasons Buffalo has stayed strong as a team through an arduos rebuild. Currently, friedrich is still plYing strong for buffalo but his mind is also on the future as he is currently working on his degree to become a lawyer. Word on the street is that Koenig has his eyes set on being in management in the future, and although a great player, his brain is his best asset and a future in hockey management maybe even league management seems likely. He may be a disappointment if sewers to look only at stats, but the shl is proud to have him

Where are they now?

Carrick Murray:
We all remember Carrick Murray, Netminder of the Vancouver Whalers right? Drafted to Edmonton in S35 Murray was on the fast path to stardom after back to back 4 star cup championships and the SMJHL's best goalie award! With a promising future ahead it was a shock to everyone when he suddenly retired in S37 just 2 seasons into an SHL career!  These days Murray co owns a tattoo parlor in his home town of Stratford Ontario, where his drawings of 'SHL faces' have become a big hit within the community. Carrick insists that his true passion was not playing hockey but painting hockey.. on the arms and chests of other human beings.

Robert Phelps:
The race to 2,000 TPE between Mike Izzy and Robert Phelps was an SHL spectacle as both players roared past that illustrious milestone on their way to some of the highest TPE ever earned! Little did we know that the stress of the race was more than Robert Phelps had let on. Shortly into regression Phelps began dabbling with tide pods, a secret he held all the way to that infamous day when TMZ posted pictures of him passed out in the dryer of a Malibu laundromat just miles from his home. At that point Phelps had graduated to liquid tide straight from the bottle! Phelps entered a 30 day rehab shortly after the incident. But I’m happy to announce that Robert came out of the facility clean in health and spiritual in mind.  Never having to work again due to the gross amount of money he had made with Hamilton, Phelps spends much of his time now at his local church where he recently got his licence as a practicing minister. Phelps is also the play by-play announcer for the Northeast Abilene Christian University hockey club.

Where are they now: LeShaun King

After King's career as an SHL Superstar ended he was looking to make money still as he isn't the type to quick working. He loves to work and make money.
So after retiring from hockey, he decided to start work in the car business. But not in the way you would expect. As you all know King always had money. Period. There wasn't a week when King wouldn't purchase something new and expensive. So Car Business was for him. He decided to make money in a way that he would order a special limited edition supercar and put it into a garage. After some time he would sell the car for an even higher price since people loved to buy older cars. According to the sources I have he is still doing this and making quite a lot of money. Apparently, he recently sold a Limited Edition Saab 95 that was custom made for King himself as a respect on the great career of Dank Boija.

Where Are They Now? - Finn Jakobsen

Finn Jakobsen was beloved in the St. Louis locker room during his first two seasons in the SMJHL. The Norwegian forward was known for his feisty demeanor, but Finn was also a great teammate. He always had our backs. He was also funny, and a great example of this was when he roasted the hell out of Leafer Reilly. So when he went inactive, it sucked. It felt like a critical part of our locker room had departed. Well, I caught up with Finn, and he has a good reason for leaving us. As it turns out, his father was the Prime Minister of Norway, and he had to leave in order to tend for his dying father. Finn became a rising star in Norwegian politics, and was elected Prime Minister a couple of years ago. He promotes hockey across the country, and always makes sure to tell his cabinet ministers about the time he made Leafer Reilly look like a fool.

Glad to hear that Fin has turned a new 'leaf' as a respected member of the international community.. Jacobson/Reilly was a big part of the great brawl of S35 between STL and Kelowna!

The S42 draft brought us many legends of the game such as Rafe Ulrich, Harvey Danger, Troy McLure III, and Geezus Kryyst. Everyone knows what those guys are up to. But what ever happened to Charlie Schieck? Charlie Shieck was the last overall draftee of the S42 class. Drafted by San Francisco in what should have been the 42nd pick, Charlie Shieck was actually drafted 30th after Manhattan, New England, Buffalo, Seattle, Minnesota, Edmonton, Winnipeg, and Los Angeles passed on their picks. After Charlie retired he spent several years doing the fan fest circuit often sitting alone at a table selling signed headshots for $25. Once he was no longer allowed a table inside the fan fest, he spent several years setting up his own table outside. Unfortunately he became a bit of an internet joke with SHL fans posting sad pictures of him every year at his table. Charlie Schieck succumbed to alcoholism in 2035.

Where are they now, @Snussu , Dank Boija

After retiring from the SHL Dank Boija decided to take some time off and relax with a little herbs. Dank slowly smoked more and more weed until he decided he may as well just grow his own. One evening while growing his own and playing fortnite dank got pretty excited about his game and spilt his Mountain Dew code red onto one of his growing flowers, and spilts the crumbs of his sweet chilli heat dorritos onto the soil. He didn't notice and went to bed, rumors say that night there was a full moon, and the moon rays soaked the plant over night. When Dank woke up the next morning, the leafs were red and glowing, Dank went to smoke the weed and he said he experienced travel through time and space. Dank decided to resell the mystical pot and named it "Dankest Boija". But after a few people began smoking it and began traveling through time the US militariy caught on and had to stop it. They confiscated all the Dankest Boija they could find, and hid it in area 31, along with killing every time travel they could find. But, they could never find Dank, rumor has it he's still traveling through time being chased by time cops who are trying to confisicate the original plant of Dankest Boija.

Feature film coming soon.

Where are they know? Rainbow Dash Edition

Rainbow Dash was the first overall draft pick back in Season 44 selected by New England. I went 9th overall that year but I do remember the draft day like it was just yesterday. There was so much hype about Rainbow Dash being the next generational talent to hit the SHL. Well we all know how Dash's career went but now it's time to learn about what Dash is doing today. Unfortunately it's not a happy ending as Dash got addicted to drinking while in the league and now spends most of her days drunk and reminiscing about the "good ol' days" when she "was a hero". Rainbow is still living in New England and spends most of her time in local bars hoping fans will recognize her and buy her a drink. She gambled all of her fortune on UnicornCoin and it failed miserably. Dash's friends say it's hard to see her in this state as she used to be so vibrant and full of energy.
