This show will focus mostly on life outside of hockey, but there are no restrictions on what can be talked about. We’ll have a few players from different teams come together, have some booze, and bullshit about anything and everything. They’ll speak honestly on sports, music, pop culture, and world events. The main hosts of this show will be Nick Connolly (me) and Noah Tedla (@tedlamotors ), with rotating guests each week from around the league. The hosts’ job is to somewhat provoke conversation by having a set list of questions ready to go each week, but it’s up to their discretion on when to reel back the conversation. The goal of this series is to see a bit more into each player’s life outside of the SHL and hear a bunch of hockey players shoot the shit for an hour. The crazier the stories told, the better. This show would air late on Thursday nights.
Cain and Cuddles has been a beloved part of the SHL media section since before expansion, and now with funding from the SHL network it could become a full time deal. Going over various happenings and breaking down teams and games, it would bring an analytical and entertaining show to its full fruition. With the pleasant sounds and sights of Stardew Valley providing a relaxing and inviting environment, hear Cain talk too much and Cuddles talk just enough as they discuss the latest news about their own teams, other teams, and just other various bruh moments that happen daily in the league. You guys already have a taste of whats to come, and with your support we can make this a reality. So bring Cain and Cuddles to an SHL TV network near you today, you won't regret it, you might even hear mo bamba. Trella will say the N word. (He has the pass tho)
Each episode 9 players from the league get randomly picked (not two players can be on the same team) and seven of them get also randomly selected to be part of a jury. The jury then chooses two "jobs" that the remaining two players have to do for one full day while being followed by camera teams. Each players gets assigned a different job, they don't know what the other one is doing, but it should be a job with a certain level of difficulty and both should be equally challenging - either physically or mentally. Of course there are restrictions where special training/licenses are needed, e.g. they won't be allowed to fly an airplane. In the end the jury has to vote for the winner - whoever did the job assigned to him better. Of course whatever they win in the end will be donated to some charity. The whole show will be 90 minutes long (ten minutes introduction, 25 minutes per player doing their job plus ten minutes jury discussion and decision - the remaining time is used for commercials) and will air once a week (Saturdays 8:30 pm). The show should be both entertaining and also educating for the viewers, because they get to learn about different jobs and their challenges.
Not tagging players here, because anyone could be involved.
The Shootout: Three SHL players from three different teams get together to compete and earn money for their favorite charities. This is a kids game show hosted by Marc Summers and SHL hall of famer Alonzo Garbanzo. The game show is run in three parts. A skills challenge with a twist. Fun obstacles will interfere with our players ability to compete their challenges. The second part is a trivia game, where many of the questions are completely not hockey related and meant to confuse our players as much as possible. Each incorrect answer will have a consequence, maybe a pie to the face, or a cadre of water balloons dropped from above. Finally, once everyone is worn down from the first 2 challenges, the final challenge will be a American Gladiators style free for all, the winner taking the jackpot that each player has added to throughout the game. The losers, of course, will not go home empty handed for their charities, but bragging rights are a big deal in the SHL.

"The Mystery of the Scarecrow Noises" - with your hosts Nicolaj Muller, Mika Kandinsky @Mika_Kandinsky, and Lyle Odelein III @Huck24 with special guest stars from the St Louis Scarecrows team and St Louis Scarecrows Alumni like Noah Gallagher @fever95. This weekly program follows the leadership team of the St Louis Scarecrows in their quest to find the true meaning of the chant, "SCARECROW NOISES". The show follows a similar format to shows like, "The Curse of Oak Island" or "Hunting Hitler" from The History Channel. The program will always end in a cliffhanger and leave its viewers disappointed with the fact that no progress has been made at all in the hour long time slot. On occasion, fans of the Crows will come in and explain their theories of what it could mean but after a few episodes nobody will remember what they even said since it didn't contribute at all to the search. As it turns out, the SCARECROW NOISES were really just the friends we made along the way.
My proposal? Hard Knocks but SHL edition. Everyone loves Hard Knocks, a show that chronicles the preseason of a team in the NFL (with the Oakland Raiders planned to be on next season). It gives fans an inner look at the team, showing the personalities of players and how teams (specifically general managers) make roster and coaching decisions. So, it'd be a great idea to cover an SHL team throughout the fifty game preseason, and learn the inner workings of the team, front office, and players. My choice would be what many call the most dysfunctional team in the league (just kidding, I just want a team that'd be considered juicy): the Buffalo Stampede. We'd get to learn how the GMs, @WannabeFinn and @Tomen, coach the team, and see how players like GOD McZherl, king of BALLS (@Chris-McZehrl) and Hippo Passamus, hockey playing hippo (@Mayuu) look off the icem I'd also suggest one of these for the SMJHL as well, specifically focusing on the Montreal Militia. We'd get an inside scoop on the Raquel i forget the rest of her name scenario where she asked out, angry about going so late. SHL Hard Knocks would be a great show, not gonna lie.
ty to @High Stick King @EvilAllBran and @Ragnar for the sigs
Let's be honest, if you're trying to make a good TV sports show, you have to model it after Jay and Dan. They were hilarious to anyone, even if you weren't a sports fan. You could have myself and Mikhail Lokitonov performing as Jay and Dan, going over highlights of SHL games over the past week. It would air on sunday nights at 4 PM pacific or 7 PM eastern in order to maximize viewership. We'd also kidnap all the writers of SNL and Whose Line Is It Anyway so we can have the funniest show on TV. We'd pay them as much as we do the SHL referees, which says a lot about our pay standards. After a couple Emmy nominations and a win or two, myself and Mikhail would ride off into the sunset, making more money on our TV deals than our actual SHL contracts, which should really be reconsidered.
Title of Show: Przemyslaw Brzeszczyczkiewicz - An SHL Insider to the Polish powerhouse
Starring: Przemyslaw Brzeszczyczkiewicz
Premise: A 12 episode mini-series running every Sunday at 8PM eastern, the show would be an inside look at PB's life now that he has joined the SHL. It would be an epic journey travelling back to his home town of Stare Bystre, Poland where PB would walk through his town, his home, and show the world where his hockey playing days all began. The show would consist of the first 4 episodes being his hometown/early career, the next 4 episodes would cover his short stint in Detroit under the Falcons organization (SKREEE), and finally the remaining 4 episodes would cover his time in the SHL playing under New England Wolfpack. PB would give the viewers his inside look on how a poor Polish boy made it to the big leagues across the pond. Every episode would also have a few minutes where PB tries various types of mustard and sausages and gives his ratings much like Prez does pizza reviews for Barstool Sports . Perhaps Dave would catch on and join PB in his adventures one day where PB critiques famous sausage places and insults Americans on their yellow mustard.
Coming soon to the SHL Network is a game show where SHL players bet their SHL contract earnings for the season by competing against each other in various skills competitions. It's like the All Star competition but now players will actually be trying their best. The projected host for this show is non other than popular Jeopardy host, Alex Trebek who is obviously over qualified to be a hockey host. Some of the projected skills to wager players earned contracts on will include the hardest slap shot competition, agility competition, fastest skater, target shooting, hardest body check, on target passing and more! Players will rank which competition they want to do in order of most preferred to least then two players will be selected. The two players lists will be referenced to decide which competition will be played followed by a fun shootout competition with a celebrity goalie to end the show each episode. The episodes will be 30 minutes long and auditions will begin shortly for a projected air date for next season!

SHL Networks newest 30-minute show! Gm’s Corner.
Gm’s from around the league come on to the show and discuss their teams and how they are doing so far into the season. We can get in-depth views from management and get a take on how they feel on how the teams are doing.
There can be different themes for each episode. There can be an eastern conference theme or an SMJHL theme and Gms like @Zoone16 and @"luketd" to discuss new players being drafted and about having to deal with prospects being called up to the big leagues. There can be a winners theme where Gms from recent cup winners come onto the show and talk about their run during the cup and their views during it.
Bringing on different gm’s from the two leagues would bring a vast array of opinions and views for the audience to learn from and get the inside scoop on their favorite teams!
Ok so since I'm not going to be tagging anybody I guess this is going to be a one man show so let's see hmm what could I do for a one man show on The SHL Network let's see okay I have a great idea so we'll call it the Jack Tanner Hour and it'll air at 3 in the morning on Saturday mornings and it'll consist of recordings of Jack Tanner pronouncing funny words like blubber and festooned and gobbledygook and so on and it'll just be an hour of that and we'll probably go split screen so Jack Tanner saying the funny words will be on one side and the other side will be clips of dogs and so people will definitely tune in to watch the dog clips and maybe if they're super drunk from a Friday night on the town they'll even watch the show unmuted but that's obviously not required.
Written task: Help the SHL create good original content by putting forth an idea for a show!.. which should include it's premise, the time slot and length of this show, the members or players involved and the reasons why you picked them?... in 150 words or more Lets hear your plan! *tag anyone involved*
The best idea for a show that I could think of is a SHL version of Spittin' Chicklets, where former SHL'ers join a podcast hosted by former SHL'ers Truck Stoker (me) and Danny Foster (@gcool). The two will discuss their antics that happened throughout their short/long SHL careers respectively. The thing that would keep people coming back to this podcast would be the guest interviews, and although it wouldn't be great as a TV piece, it would be focused primarily for radio, I think that with the right magic that the film of the actual interviews and recording of the podcast would be good for people to watch on the SHL network.
Another idea that would be good would be having various SHL'ers from the history of the league come onto the show and help build the history of the league up to help get more individuals informed about the history of the SHL as a lot of the history in this league is being replaced as superstar players are coming into the league left and right.
This 30 minute show appearing weekly on Fridays at 7PM will be taking a look at the home lives of some of our players. Too many of these shows in the past have focused on the wives and children of the players while leaving the most important of the household, their furry little four legged friends! This show will rotate through players each week to take a close look at their companions and get exclusive moments with the dog themselves. What motivates these dogs to look after their hockey players? What do they do when their owner is gone? How many sticks have they chewed through? These are the types of important questions that we'll be analyzing as we do a deep dive into the breed, the dog itself, and their relationship with their players.
Never before has a sports reality show taken such a deep look into the home lives of these pooches and the effect that they have on the quality of play in the shl

The Show will be called The Journey and it will Showcase the SMJHL eligible rookies during the prospect showcase Tournament. It will have all four teams staying in the same mansion which will help add tension an intrigue to the episodes. It will showcase how each prospect prepares before the tournament and leading up to the SMJHL draft. Each season 4 SMJHL superstars will be named as coaches and will help guide the rookie along during the showcase and ultimately help them develop into SMJHL superstars themselves. Each Player will be put in a room with a member from the other three teams and this will be their living arrangement for the show. This will allow the players to interact with more than just their prospect showcase team mates and allows fans to get a better idea of who the prospects going into the draft are. This show will air Saturdays at 4pm right before Hockey Night in Canada
The first season will have the following SMJHL superstars as coaches:
