The Saloon, Anaheim, California
A Sunday during the off-season Despite their title win their previous season, the Outlaws were already preparing themselves for the next season. However, they all had the Sundays off, except for Yoshimitsu McCloud, the ever so laborious winger that had served as the Assistant Captain the previous season. Of course, unlike what one would expect him to be doing, he was actually gathering rabbit feet. Of course, he had received a call from his agent to meet her in the Saloon's ice rink. The Irish Ninja looked around, finding nobody there besides the running power. Things were really silent. Then, he heard a thud in the distance. He unsheathed his sword, looking around carefully. He leaped over the barrier, stepping on the top of the seats. He could catch a glimpse of something metallic moving towards the ice. The Ninja ran towards him, in a show of impressive coordination as if the seats were nothing but pieces of the floor for him. He leaped into the air, his sword already aiming towards a diagonal slash across what had now revealed itself, a rather round robot. "STOP!" He heard the voice of his agent, who by this point was running towards the robot herself. The Ninja dropped near the metallic machine, turning around while placing his sword back where it belonged. The agent had finally arrived, puffing for air as she had almost seen her creation slashed in two. "Jesus, Yoshi... I thought you'd take longer to arrive!" She looked at him after regaining air. Yoshimitsu crossed his arms, apparently insulted. "A true ninja never arrives late. One could even say that a ninja is always there." The girl, Omelette, frowned before shaking her head. How could he be so bothersome? In the end, however, she decided to relent what could've been a big mistake. "Look, I've talked with the GM and some of the other players and we decided to devise a new training program for you to take during the off-season. So I managed to get a couple of bots that will serve as your training partners for every Sunday." Yoshimitsu tilted his head, the expression of confusion on his head being hidden by his mask. "Huh? So I'm training with robots? That sounds... OK, I guess." Another headshake by his agent as she was surprised by his lack of... well, surprise on training with robots. Then again, she knew he was aware of her mechanic days. Soon enough, Yoshimitsu entered the ice rink, after having worn his skates and picked up a hockey stick to prepare himself. Omelette whistled and soon a group of robots entered the ice. There was one unique feature on them, however... they were dressed like... "...Pirates?" He turned around, looking at his agent, who had a smile on her face. "Why pirates?" She chuckled, picking up a bag of popcorns to munch on. "Selman bet with me that you'd lose to a bunch of pirates. This was the best I could get from my uncle." He sighed, turning back to the rink. "Plus, they say that pirates are cooler than ninjas?" He blinked. "They do?" (...) The Saloon, Anaheim, California The following Monday Lallo Selman looked at the rink, noticing the bits and pieces of machinery that were scattered across the rink. Omelette was tinkering with a cleaning bot. "So, I take he practiced." She eyed him, sighing. "More like he beat them to pieces." He sighed, examining the situation, without even looking at her. "So... I take I don't have to pay that bet then?" She grumbled, extending her hand to him. "Like hell you don't, I want to buy me some coffee, I need these bots up and running by next Sunday!"
