Now that the preseason is over let's make some predictions for the upcoming season!

First of all the standings look quite a bit different than last season's final - here is what the current one looks like:
1  - Colorado  (34-15-1)
2  - Detroit   (32-13-5)
3  - Carolina  (27-13-5)
4  - Anaheim   (29-16-5)
5  - Vancouver (28-22-0)
6  - Lethbridge(22-17-11)
7  - Anchorage (24-21-5)
8  - Halifax   (22-25-3)
9  - St. Louis (17-30-3)
10 - Kelowna   (15-29-6)

First impressions on this:
Colorado has made a big leap from last season and I think they are going to be the team to beat.

Detroit has kept pace at the top of the league.

Carolina has managed to improve over last seasons finish and that was good enough to win it all. Are we in line for a repeat?

Anaheim has a nice bump on their standing from last season

Vancouver is right in the middle. They have relatively low PP and PK% compared with the rest of the league, so if those balance out during the season they could definitely move up the chart

Lethbridge has 11 overtime losses. Funnily enough they are tied for 2nd most SO losses, Anchorage has one more than them. They have 1 overtime win and 2 SO wins... I feel like they should be higher this season.. Lethbridge I know you read my posts, avoid overtime at all costs this season. It does not play well with you.

Anchorage has the most shootout losses. Their goals for and against are very close. I think they will be +- 1 spot of this position this season

Halifax has managed to put together the best scouting team in the league because they have added 9 first round caliber players on the team. They lost a bunch of tenured players in the off season, but that just opened up the door for new blood to be put into opportunities to succeed. I expect them to be in a play-in game, and to win it, then fight tooth and nail the rest of the way

St. Louis also lost a lot of high level talent over the off season, but their special teams seem to be under preforming. If they can get the right tweaks in place they should be able to bump their way up to the 3-6 position

Kelowna had an opposite preseason as their season last year. They had the least amount of goals throughout the preseason, and the highest goals against. Those are not winning numbers. They need to improve both those categories, but if they are unable to it may be a re-tooling season.

Now then that the mess is all over and done with, let's get to the Playoffs based on absolutely nothing but my current gut bacteria!
