With the 3rd overall pick, the Buffalo Stampede selected Steve Harrington from the Newfoundland Berserkers who was selected 4th overall in the SMJHL draft. Harrington is a 5’11” playmaking left wing from Germany who put up respectable rookie numbers on an offensively stacked team last season with 17 points off of 13 minutes per game on the ice. Harrington at the time of the draft (since the player analyze sheet looks like it died) was sitting at 279 tpe which is 11th in the class overall. Some might consider that a bit of a reach to select 3rd overall but in reality every first round pick in this draft could have been a lottery pick in any other draft class. Harrington was also not just selected for his tpe count as the user Neon Lime has a big bank account at 20 million (please gib) as he quickly gained two great jobs in gfx grading and updater. Lime has also written some great media in the past and seems to continue to do so which helps a lot. Besides all that, Lime is just the person to settle into the Buffalo Stampede environment which can be seen with the fact he has already thunderdomed someone and even made a pull to see if Lee should be in or out. Also now a new member of the E4LG.
In a decision I’m sure a lot of people are happy to see, Seppala was selected 7th overall in the first round of the draft. Seppala is a 6’2” sniping left wing from Finland who is currently playing for the Kelowna Knights after they took him in the 3rd round at pick 23 (what a steal) in the SMJHL Draft. Seppala was ranked in at 3rd in the S53 class at the time of the draft with a tpe count of 291. In his rookie season, Seppala put up only 8 points off a debismal 7% shot percent off of 12 minutes on the ice per game . Like Harrington, Seppala didn't play much on the powerplay so as he continues to rapidly improve, hopefully those numbers will go up in his sophomore season. As for the user, Zombiewolf, he is a returning member of the Stampede as his last player played his whole career in Buffalo. Zombie has an enormous bank account sitting at 53 million with an updater job so there won't be any financial trouble for him anytime soon. As for how he will settle into the Stampede locker room, well he's been here for so long so there's really not any settling in to do. Welcome back to the Stampede Zomb!
The former 30th overall SMJHL from the United States was picked up by the Stampede at 18th this time around. Topalo currently plays for the Detroit Falcons on the 2nd line and is a 5’9” left wing. Along with some power play minutes, Topalo saw 15 minutes per game which allowed him to put up an amazing 30 point season. That season was good enough for 3rd in rookie scoring, just 2 points below 2nd/1st, and a spot on the all rookie SMJHL team. Topalo ended the season at 278 tpe which is good for 15th in the class. As for the user, Rangerjase only has 1 million in the bank, but has a 1k word draft media piece that has yet to be graded. Jase seems to be making all his money through media and has even done some gfx which is great. So far he has fitted right into the Stampede locker room, especially active in the political talk that goes on in there.
The former first overall pick of the SMJHL draft was selected by Buffalo all the way down at 43rd overall. Cerullo is a 6’2” two way left wing who specializes in scoring, playing for the Colorado Raptors. That scoring specialty was showcased in his rookie year as he put up 10 goals which was good enough for 18 points total off of 16 minutes of play a night. Cerullo currently has 269 tpe and was 24th in the class at the time of the draft. Many would see this as a complete steal for Buffalo but unfortunately Chris has stopped updating as of March and hasn’t been online for almost a week. If Chris does come back to actively however, he should be able to catch up a bit to his other draft mates as he has a bank account worth 9 million. Chris has made that 9m mostly from media but also does twitter and participated in the prospect tourney to earn an additional million.
4th Round | 51st Overall
Alex Reyer 229 TPE @iObscurity
Buffalo selects another inactive with their 51st overall pick. Reyer is a 5’11” playmaking left wing from the States who was picked with the 55th pick back in the SMJHL draft by the St. Louis Scarecrows. Reyer was only allowed 11 minutes on the ice every night but still put up 15 points on the season. As I mentioned, iObscurity has unfortunately gone inactive in the updating department as of last month but as they have just recently logged on, there still might be a little hope. Unlike Chris however they have a very shallow bank as it sits at jut 600k and they have no history of writing media, gfx, and I’m fairly certain they don't hold a job currently so it will be quite hard to make a comeback.
4th Round | 55th Overall
Alexander Roach 202/223 TPE @Faelax
With their last selection in the S53 SHL entry draft, the Buffalo Stampede picked up Alexander Roach who currently plays for the Maine Timber after going undrafted. Similarly to Reyer, Roach is a 6’3” play making left wing from the States who saw 15 minutes on the ice last season. Those 15 minutes a night allowed for a stat line of 14 points with 9 of those being assisted. Roach had 202 tpe at the time of the draft which slots him at 56th in the class, so pretty much a perfect pick if we are just going by tpe. Although he is making slow progress, Faelax is actually an active updater as can be seen with his most recent update coming yesterday. Unfortunately not making any money with an empty bank and no history of money making of any kind so no training or coaching will be done in the near future. As for his fit in the locker room, Faelax seems to have been a pretty good fit in there so far. Only the future will tell but Roach could potentially be quite a steal for Buffalo at 55th.
