edit: crap I messed up the poll... so if you vote payment change, please also drop a comment on whether you want bonuses added... sorry <_<
Alright, well like I said before in the previous poll
Here are my proposed options:
Option #1
Having experienced it first hand as a junior, its just too easy to make money and have a monstrous bank account while not doing a lot of work. I'm not saying what you guys do in articles is easy cause trust me its not, I know its tough to write articles, but this league shouldn't be really easy. This way you have to write around 2k words to make one mil which is two weeks of training.
Previous Payment:
50k per 100 words for first 500 words
100k per 100 words after first 500 words
Proposed Payment:
50k per 100 words, full article.
Spin off of Graphics. I grade your articles based on the aforementioned categories,(thoroughness, being interesting, realism, form, spelling and grammar, words, effort) and then pay you based on that. This will reward people for hard work and reduce the number of articles people type up in two minutes and earn a million bucks for.
:lol:
So pathetically easy for juniors to get money. Need to grade articles + lower the ridiculous payments.
“The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again. ... There are neither beginnings nor endings to the Wheel of Time. But it was a beginning.”

I think that starting on Monday (the 24th) I'm going to start grading the articles, (I'll figure out a formula) and use that week as a test week for it.
Alright guys, so here's what I'm thinking for grading:
Thoroughness/Professionalism --> Is it well written, does it look and sound professional, like a regular Media article would. Does it look and feel like a lot of effort was put into it.
Interest --> Does this article hold the reader's attention or is it boring. e.g use of pictures, creativity
Form --> is it a wall of text or is broken up into paragraphs properly. Is proper spelling and grammar used.
Word Count --> self explanatory
I'm open to pm's on feedback and questioning on these areas, and suggestions for improvement
Formula for grading:
E.g
Word Count: 1500
Thoroughness/Professionalism 8/10
Interest 8/10
Form 8/10
Payment = Word Count /1000 * Thoroughness * Interest * Form
Payment = 1500/1000 * Thoroughness * Interest * Form
Payment = 768k --> round down
Payment = 750k
This way, it rewards word count like the previous methods while still actually rewardin people on their hard work and cutting down on the ridiculous amounts of money being handed out
I like the idea of grading, but that is probably because I'm not 12 and actually use grammar on the internet.
However, objectivity is going to be tough. I can assure you that the first time donini gets a grade lower than what he thinks he deserves, there will be hell to pay. You'd have to be very careful not to appear biased for or against anyone, and put some pretty strict rules in place to prevent people from challenging it.

Don't worry about objectivity, I hate you all equally...

But in all seriousness, I'm not going to put up with people trashing me, especially publicly for my grades. They can pm me if they want and we'll discuss why they got the grade they did.
There really isn't any consistency around here anymore. Week one the max payout on NFL Pick'em was 5 TPE then Week two it dropped to 3 without notice. Graphics can't figure out how it wants to change but everyone agrees they hate everything. I did the Radio Broadcast PT when it was listed as 12 Uncapped TPE then it was changed to Capped. Now Media payments are going to be slashed in half? And people are debating a weekly TPE cap.
There's less and less reward and less to do around here. The place is becoming too much like a chore and not as fun as it once was. We need more things to participate in and we need more fun things to do not everyone trying to make everything professional grade or else its dismissed. Yes we need quality but we also need to reward the activity and effort or else we're going to end up with a League of inactives run by ten people who came up through the old system. We use to reward effort and participation now we condemn it as not being good enough. Then when people do participate we take away the reward for it.
Consistency makes everyone feel like they have a fair shot. That's what makes things fun. We need more not less. Players in Junior are supposed to pad their Bank and that's why Scouts focus on it so much in the SHL Draft. Its only supposed to be 8weeks long anyway. There's no reason it shouldn't stay the same. Maybe small deduction or bonus for work that is substandard or exceptional. But we need to stop changing things every single day.

dont change it up to much, but i like the grading idea
Yeah, this way there's actually still some pretty good payout... 750k for 1500 words ain't bad... and thats with decent marks. Also, everyone has to remember, it is a test week, if it don't work, I'm gonna scrap it and return it to how it is now.
And to Donini, please pm me... You're not a fan of this and right now I'm not a fan of your behaviour, thanks
