Team Analysis:
Carolina Kraken: The Kraken had an excellent season, and decided to be the big buyer at the trade deadline, making a couple big moves with the acquisitions of Sven Yxskaft and Stan Hanson. The team is set up to make a deep run into the playoffs, with a strong group of forwards headlined by Jimmy Wagner and Keith Lee, along with star goalie Frans Eller. The top scoring offense in the juniors looks to head into the next round with some momentum.
St. Louis Scarecrows: St. Louis is a team that many expected to take a step back this year, but they had a great draft along with some excellent veteran players, and rode a couple of hot streaks to the 3rd spot in the east.
Prediction: 4 - 1
Unfortunately for the Scarecrows, they appear to be simply outmatched by the Kraken. Carolina scores much more often, plays better defense, and has the advantage in net. I think that this series will look more like the last three games played between these two clubs, rather than than the first five
