Chad alfa's newfound love for hockey came at a later age compared to most athletes. At the age of 8 he started to play pick-up games with his older brother and friends. He realized he was a natural after consistently being praised for his speed, positioning and stick handling as a forward. After deciding to play in more elite leagues in his age group, he realized his size could better be used as a shutdown defenseman. He started focusing on his defensive positioning, backwards skating, and overall strength. All the hard work turned him into a polished defenseman. It wasn't until he made the Dublin Juniors where he decided to take his offensive skill and tried to reinvent himself as a 2 way defenseman. His team finished 3rd in the tournament and Chad finished 3rd in points by a defenseman, 2nd in goals, and 2nd in plus-minus. After his success at the Dublin Juniors it was clear he will be drafted somewhere in the 2nd or 3rd round. Many teams interviewed Chad, however only a few teams met his personal expectations. Newfoundland, Quebec and Anaheim were teams that seemed to have a nice environment for Chad to thrive. The have a great veteran presence, great management, and an impeccable locker room full of teammates. The players, coaches and GM's were all exited to try and coral his risky playstyle. In the end, Newfoundland ended up drafting Chad in the early 3rd round and he couldn't be happier. In S57 Chad will be teammates with his hometown friend Bás O'Bigbers who can hopefully ease the process of fitting in with the team. In the future Chad will hopefully find a defensive partner that meshes well with his offensive style. After getting signed for 4M yesterday he will expected to work on his puck management and his breakout passes. Getting along with his teammates will be a huge factor when telling how well he will in the future. His ambition is to eventually become 1st line defender that is trusted in all desperate situations weather its on the power play, penalty kill, or late game. We reached out for a comment on Chad Alfa from Newfoundlands own general manager JNH: “We were pleasantly surprised to find Chad Alfa still available when we went to make our selection at 25th overall. He was a player that we looked at during scouting quite heavily and he has ties to Bás O’Bigbers, who we dealt up to select with the 9th overall selection. We think Chad has the potential to become an elite two-way defenseman and look forward to watching him develop alongside Sandeen and Kahnwald as our future on the blue line. It’s not every day that you get a chance to select a player with this kind of potential at that stage of the draft so we’re quite pleased with how it shook out.”

ZERKERS PUTTIN IN WORK
Something happened on the day he died. Spirit rose a metre and stepped aside. Somebody else took his place, and bravely cried. I’m a blackstar, I’m a blackstar. a bottomless curse, a bottomless sea, source of all greatness, all things that be.
