High School goaltender Atticus Cain has made sparkling saves these last few weeks in Chicago. Through 5 games he has posted 3 shutouts with a .90 GAA and a .939 save percentage. These have been close games, as the scoring touch on his team has not developed and they have trouble on the breakout. This leads to them being heavily outshot however Cain can keep them in it, only losing one game with a bad outing; Giving up 4 goals in a 4-2 loss. When asked about following the footsteps of his cousin Aleister Cain in New Orleans, he has stated he is interested in joining the SMJHL, and will be eligible as soon as the trade deadline. The 17 year old is applying to college and keeping his options open, however it looks like Cain could be the next big goaltender to make waves in the junior hockey scene. We will keep an eye out for Atticus in the S57 SMJHL entry draft!
