The Texas Renegades will be holding it's first annual Fantasy Camp January 15-17 2021. Fans of the Renegades will get to stay in the W Dallas - Victory for 2 nights, a grand hotel just a few blocks from American Airlines Center. Buffet style food will be provided throughout weekend. Upon arriving to the arena on Jan. 15 fans will be invited to join the team for the morning skate and a meet & greet / autograph session following

For my fantasy camp it will be focused around mixing the Calgary Dragons alumni and rookies together for a holistic hockey experience. The main stars of the camp will be alumni Esa Anrikkanen, Randy Randleman, Hunter Wong and Mike Izzy. These four members are all Dragon Hall of Famers and had illustrious careers representing Calgary in the SHL. In terms of the young up and coming current members of the Dragons who will be in attendance you will have Cale Amundsen, Joseph Weston, Mack Daddy and Mats Marner. These four players are all a big part of the Dragons future. The fantasy hockey camp will be three days long spanning from Friday until Sunday for a fee of three hundred dollars with meals and activities included. On Friday there will be dry land training with the Dragons players and alumni and in the afternoon on ice skills training. On Saturday attendees will get to participate in the Dragons morning skate and watch the Dragons game live. On Sunday there will be a day of exploring the city of Calgary.

I think that the Los Angeles fantasy camp experience would try to capitalize on the "Los Angeles" aspect of the destination for the SHL club. The people in attendance would stay at a really nice "Hollywood" hotel where they would be in a nice suite with gifts that make them feel like a movie star and whatnot. It would probably be like a 3 to 4 day thing mostly over a weekend because of the costs. The people would get a handful of practices and a game against each other along with a game against current and Panthers alumni. At the end of it all they would all be put in a VIP suite at a Panthers game where they can cheer along with free food and beer. After that they would be able to go crash a movie premier (after all the necessary showering etc) and enjoy a night out on the town with some of the Panthers players who certainly like to party in Los Angeles. They would all be sent home with home and away jerseys and socks, along with a bunch of other clothes and swag to remember the trip by.
With the restrictions of Covid taking place, the Armada are willing to offer a fantasy camp that will be extremely private in nature as in person groups are limited to no more than 15 people at the moment.
After the completion of your 10 day self quarantine (this will be akin to the NHL bubble), your experience starts in the brand new Armada Hotel in downtown Anchorage. Inside the hotel you find posters and memorbilia of years past including some PG Firebirds jerseys and posters.

Welcome to the the Manhattan Rage "Winter in the City" Fantasy Camp. After taking several years hiatus because no one cared how the Rage were doing. Our recent run at playoffs and cups has reinvigorate the fan base enough that people have asked to us to return to hosting these camps.
