Fedor Sotakov is an offensive weapon that plays off the puck about as well as one could with the puck. The youngster is a very strong skater with speed comparable to a young-Nathan MacKinnon. The winger established himself in the KHL as a goal-scorer that knows how to position himself and isn't shy about firing the puck on net. Another strength is Sotakov's passing and knack for setting up teammates. He loves to put on a fun, flashy game but isn't the least bit selfish. His teammates in Russia loved him and coaches commended him for his willingness to accept criticism and drive for improvement. Sotakov projects to be a very dynamic offensive player in the SHL for years to come. He comes the North America a year later than expected, which means he's a season more mature than most prospects in his class. SMJHL and SHL general managers should take notice.

Sven Svechnikov is a true dual threat, both to the other teams goalie and his own. A wise man once said "the best defense is a good offense" and Sven has taken that to heart, making him essentially a 4th wing on the ice. He's fast, has a great point shot, and excels at creating opportunities. The defense stuff will come later.

Maxime Allard was bred to be an SHL superstar, but weren't most kids? Allard's family is a strict believer that if it isn't perfect, you're not doing it right. With that mentality, their son Maxime was bred to compete, bred to win, and will stop at nothing to do so. His strengths range from his scoring ability to his passing, all the way to his face-off skills and even to some defensive responsibility. It will be hard to find much of a negative in Maxime's game and when he hits the ice for the first time, you'll see why.

The goal for Salzberger Lillehammersson is to be an elite offensive player. First, he will focus on improving his shoot, but he doesn’t plan on relying only on his shoot. He wants to be a fast player who will be able to beat defender on the counter with his speed. Finally, Salzberger wants to be unpredictable and will also work on improving his passing ability.

Robert Black is an offensive center whose primary attribute is his ability to read the game and take up positions on the ice in anticipation of how the play will develop. His innate understanding of the game, agility and deft stick skills make him an interesting prospect with heaps of potential on the offensive end. The big question is whether or not he can fulfill that potential, or if he will fizzle out before becoming the player some think he can be.

Niall Nails player comp in the NHL right now would be Matthew Tkachuk. Hailing from Ireland, Nails is a physical Power Forward that enjoys laying the body and working in the dirty areas to help teammates shine. A locker room favourite with his outrageous "larger than life" personality, Nails is someone who opponents HATE to play against, and a teammates best friend. Everyone grows another inch when Nails is on the ice. Another underrated aspect of Nails game is his soft paws, combined with elite touch of goal scoring in major situations.

Cormac Pónaire's main strength is his physical game. Standing at a mere 5'7", he's one of the shortest players in the draft. Being a short hockey player, he's always felt he had to be one of the most physical players on the ice. Quick to deliver a hit, he's made it a point to drop the gloves when he needs to show some of the bigger players he's not afraid to mix it up.

Robot Sunfish is just that- a giant robotic Sunfish modified with a fixed skate and stick to play hockey. So naturally, his strength comes from the physical side of things. Sunfish has high strength and speed, while his agility is rsther pedestrian. Oh and also, he's a great asset in fights, too. It's not a good idea to punch something big and metallic, you know.

Utyosov Toyesfki is pretty well rounded, both offensively and defensively. He is a bit more focused on the offensive side of things though, as he wants to be a sniper and get all those sweet sweet goals. His main strengths are shooting accuracy, offensive read and defensive read. Hopefully he is able to contribute well on both sides of the ice.

Erik Andrews, for lack of a better tem, is a speedy boy. He goes zoom on the ice, and blows by defenders with his extensive agility. He is also a force off of the ice, as he can rile up a locker room and has lots of leadership skills. Erik is a very fast winger who will no doubt be one of the best assisters in the SMJHL upon his debut.

Twelve Forty-Seven Fifteen is a bit of an unusual hockey player, and not just for his unusual and wordy name (or should he say number-y?) Whenever he steps on the ice, he seems confused and doesn't seem to really know the rules. He knows to push the little slidy disc into the cloth box with the scary man in front of it, and knows that the scary man seems very intent that you refrain from doing this. He also knows you can give the little slidy disc to your friends and ask them to deal with the scary man himself. He doesn't really know his strengths - doesn't really know his weaknesses, either - but it seems to be working out for him okay, so far.
