Home Office kept the Timber out of the playoffs last year through perfidy, waving their hands, muttering an incantation, and barring a five hundred team from playing for hockey immortality.  As a result, the Forest is playing angry this year, and we are performing as expected - our team, which has myriad players over the 425 TPE limit, sits at 21-9-3 through the season’s halfway point.  Regarding Miles’s performance, I have been pleasantly surprised.  I am averaging a point per game - a torrid pace that any player would be pleased to post.  While I am happy with my eleven goals and twenty assists, I am especially pleased with my defensive play.  I have a defensive game rating of seventy-three, the highest rating for a forward this season.  More importantly, the locker room is in a good place, and we are excited for our prospects entering the second half of the season.

Prompt 2

Individual play? Immaculate. Team play? Impeccable. The Calgary Dragons are om an absolute tear to start the season of. Much to the chagrin of some users around the league. Now I always pick us as Cup winners because I'm biased, but seeing the way this team has started off has given me some actual hope at this coming to be reality. Many people had written us off as being I a rebuild, but because of the due dillegence done by our GMs and coach, we are making some noise not only in our division or conference, but around the league. We've shown there is a reason we are a perennial contender and for anyone that has written us off this season, they are looking g like a bit of a fool. I know, the seasons long and our streak has been short, but we are looking to silence all of the doubters this season.

Prompt 2

I think so far my team played amazing and i gave everyone on the ice an opportunity to win every night. Buffalo currently sit second in the league with 46 points and that's the kind of things i like to see. We have a goal differential of +80, which mean the guys can focus on putting shots in the net instead of worrying too much about defense. This allow many of my teammates to be in good position for awards. Player such as Alexander Roach and Steve Harrington lead the league in assist with 30 apples. Along with his 21 goals, Harrington currently has 51 points, 5 over the second in list Ryuuji Minamino. While it's a bit less obvious to see, Augustus Wang and Emilia Bergman are also dominating in term of points, being both in the top 3 in points by a defensemen. As for goaltending, my area ... it's not amazing, but the most important is being able to make enough saves to allow us to get some great Dubs.

Prompt 2:
I have been enjoying the new season in SHL land so far. Minnesota has been off to a pretty good start and plenty of people are starting to pop off. I haven't seen a huge success with my player but he is now reaching the twilight of his career so that is to be expected. If I can hit 30 points on the season I will consider it a rousing success as one of my last goals is to take 4th overall in Minnesota scoring after I register 1000 games played for the franchise. I don't think the central division is surprising anyone at the moment. CHI/TEX are leading the league and the division but Minny is closer than I think most people would have guessed from the first game. In fact for most of the season, Minnesota would be leading the Pacific Division, until CAL recently had a surge. If we still had the previous divisions before the last expansion, they would be at the top of their division. Depending on how the rest of the season shakes out, I don't think it's unheard of for the Monarchs to take 2nd in the division or possibly pull the long shot and win the Central.

Being selected to Team Up and Comers was a confusing one for Oliver Cleary. Cleary isn't exactly what you'd call the textbook definition of an up and comer. Hell, Cleary wasn't what you would call even a middle ager. Being an S48, Oliver Cleary should be on the other side of the ice with the Grizzled Vets team. Before the first gamer of the tournament, Cleary went to the organizers to plead his case. He let them know that a mistake must have been made considering he is an old man and he's being forced to play with the young pups. They agreed with him, they made a mistake and put him on the wrong team. Cleary thought this was awesome and went to leave. Before he made it out of the door, the tournament organizers let him know that because he was so open and honest about being on the wrong team, they were sickened. With that, he wasn't allowed back in the tournament.

In general, it is one of those seasons that you will want to forget. I think we have seen that a lot in the last couple seasons which is not great, but it's necessary to do some rebuild. I dont care what some people say, you have to go through all the aches and pains of growing with these seasons before getting to a point that you ate ready to compete with the best of people and the team. So, I think it has really been a tough season and we are really looking forward to the draft and to next season as well. Will it be better than last season? Will it be better rhan this season? I guess we will have to wait and see how good this season and next season will end up. I think every step we take, we are going in the right direction to build a real team that will be geared by many.

I think Hamilton has had a slow start this season, which was expected to happen from what I saw when I did test sims for season predictions. I feel like we are a better team than what our record has indicated this season and we definitely lost some games where he had some and luck, like we lost a game where we have 50+shots and only allowed 20ish shots which is kinda disappointing. My season has been kinda meh compared to my previous seasons as I didn't think I am going to be nominated for defencemen of the year this season but I am trying my best to help the team win. Be a good defender and try to make simple players for our forwards to produce a lot of offense. I think we could be better but lets see on how the rest of the season goes.

As a member of team Grizzled Vets, I was at first offended. I didn't even sign up for this tourney - and I'd hardly call myself grizzled or a vet. But hey - the money was good and I was told there were gonna be free pizza dinners after so count me in.

Our first game ended with us facing off against faces like Ryuuji Minamino, Steve Harrington and Mats Marner. These are all guys that have been dominant forces in the league this season and did exactly that in juniors as well. The only thing is - I'm literally their dad. Not only do I know exactly what makes them tick (so it's easier to neutralize them), but I can also just order them to go to their rooms so they have to leave the ice. Hard to be goal per game when you're on timeout isn't it nham? Harrington's a little easier - just mess up his hair and he's guaranteed to have to go spend the next fifteen minutes staring at a mirror fixing it.

So we're almost 20 games into the season now and i feel liek Joans has been playing extremely well himself. He is currently one of the league leaders in points amongst defencemen and has been playing really well on the top pairing alongside team defensive star Keith Lee. He does miss playing beside his longtime buddy Elias Kierkegaard, whom he had played with since his jr days, but he knows he will be reunited with him eventually and they will dominate. As for the team play, the Panthers have been extremely streaky. go through one stream and win every game, the next stream we lose every game. But we are consistently playing well and getting lots of shots and posession so hopefully it leads to more good streaks this season than bad ones. Can't wait to see where the core of this team is at in about 2-3 seasons as I think we will be very strong. Just some growing pains at the moment.

Prompt 2

As far as individual play is concerned, Roddy B is right around where I expected him to be. He is putting up points, and sitting at a -3 currently. With 22 points in 31 games, he is on pace for an unremarkable season. This is not surprisng. Quite accidentally I built Roddy into a generalist, and though he is a dependable 2 way player he is a little over his head in his first line matchup. Also having only 6 goals on 99 shots is either atrocious luck or mediocre shooting accuracy, quite likely both.

The league has surprised me a llittle this season, only inasmuch as I am not a part of the established core of two teams and now having come to know the veteran players and getting to know their stories and grievances has left me a little shocked. The SHL is more of an old-boys club than I had thought, though again, this isn't terribly surprising. It's a passion project for a grizzled core of devoted people who have, for one reason or another, stuck around for ages.

Prompt 2:

I think right now I'm pretty happy with how the start of my season has gone. San Fran had an incredibly hard schedule to start the season and I think we struggled against some of the teams we played and probably lost some games we could've won, As for individual performance I have an incredibly low shooting percentage at 3.3% and ideally I'd like to be more productive on the PP but I think that'll come as the season goes on. I lead our team in +/- and Petrenko and I have formed a pretty good top pairing for the team and play well vs other teams at even strength. My main goals for the rest of the season are to help get San Fran into the play-offs and win a round and finish with over 40 points in the regular season. I think both goals are attainable this season with a bit of luck.
