Luca Hunziker is not a flashy living in the limelight type of feller. However, Luca is not exactly shy either and likes to make appearances on camera. Picutre Jesse Puljujarvi stuffing pizza into his face while staring into the camera while McDavid stoically answers interview questions. Yes, Luca is a classic clown who enjoys photobombing and trying to make teammates crack. There was one time that the Zerk's captain, Rashford was doing an interview in between periods and Hunziker comes out of the room in this big puffy housecoat and starts strutting around like Ric Flair and quietly whispering "woooo" so that Rashford couldn't hear him. Nobody knows where the housecoat came from but players from both teams were in the hallway and they were in tears as Rash does this whole interview and never noticed the antics behind him. I think the best part was that the reporter was unable to keep their composure and their big silly grin turned into fits of giggles when Hunziker did a classic Flair flop onto the mat.
Magnus held his breath as long as he could, but even then it was not enough. The smell of hockey gear in the storage room was pervasive and resisted every attempt he made at shutting it out. He could hear the cameraman and that odious host person thing just rambling on in the locker room, and he bided his patience until they were clear. Once the locker room door had shut, he gratefully walked out of the storage room and gasped for the sweet, clean air of the locker room. Whoever had suggested this crazy idea could go and kick themselves, he thought. Fitted might have loved it - the man was a motormouth of the highest order after all - but Magnus certainly did not. He just wanted to play hockey.
He could hear someone else shuffling around too, and he looked around to find that someone was hiding underneath all the gear bags in the travel cage. Giving him a hand out, Magnus found that it was Strom, their goalie.
Harry Carpet is definitely a person that prefers to be left alone and doesn’t want to be in the center of attention. He knows that being part of a professional hockey team there are situations where you simply have no other choice but to make public appearances, like during interviews or charity events for example. Those kinds of things are acceptable; it’s part of the job (that doesn’t mean he particularly likes it, but it’s something you get used to over the years). But be part of a documentary about the North Stars that will be on some streaming platform? Harry will make sure to avoid the camera crew as much as possible and really hopes that there are some team mates around that enjoy the attention and will volunteer for the interview parts. On the ice he can kind of hide behind his mask, but off the ice he will simply blend into the background somewhere or simply hide in the bathroom. He definitely won't let anyone into his home for filming.

I'm doing sort of a combo between Prompts 1 and 2 I guess.

Nick Brain would probably be staying out of the camera limelight a lot, but there'd be some stories about how it is probably his last season in the SHL (alongside fellow Season 46 draft class veteran Jimmy Slothface), and how some of the younger Toronto stars would be ribbing the old men with rocking chair gifts and grey beard jokes and stuff like that.
I imagine a lot of the focus on a Toronto North Stars show would be on their long-time veteran goaltender Harry Carpet, as he[s been an all-time great but is having his career come down to the wire now. There's also the fact that Toronto is both a young and an old team in deep transition right now, between a playoff window and facing the prospect of yet another rebuild after a rough go of things in the Season 50s. Management would probably get a lot of focus, in terms of how they approach being in limbo, and the tactical genius of Wally's management avatar pulling games out of the ether might also need to be highlighted.
It's pretty crazy being recognized by a high profile person like I was in an elevator, but it's also very surreal and cool. When they mentioned they had a huge opening on their streaming platform and that by meeting me it made them interested in following behind how the season was going to go, I couldn't believe my ears. Not only do I get to go into the season playing my dreams and hopefully one day making it to the SHL, but I also get to be a damn movie star on this massive platform that everyone watches. Who knows, maybe we'll even make the "Top 10" countdown on Metflix. They asked for me to tell them what some of the storylines were going to be this season, so I tossed them a few...
- Mikael Jakobsen is going to go home to Sweden for the Summer and train/party huge. He's going to be doing some crazy shit. Somehow he's amassed 60+ million in the bank and he's going to be having some wicked fun.
- GM's are running a secret reindeer fighting club in Northern BC. They buy the Reindeer and have them transported to Kelowna. From there, they helicopter them to northern BC where they've been staging Reindeer fights. It's currently a Top 5 sport in Canada and the sports betting on it is huge.
- Kelowna will be looking to knock off the scary Newfoundland teams. The province or whatever the hell it is is overrated and we're gonna hopefully show that.
Yannick Svoboda was originally from Czechia but acquired his Finnish citizenship after spending an extensive amount of time in the country. As such, he has picked up many of the habits of his fellow Finns, including the need to be left alone as much as possible. This includes his interactions with any kind of media. Unfortunately for Svoboda, the Elk have been selected for filming this season, as they have signed a television deal with a high ranking executive. Cue Svoboda attempting to do everything within his power to avoid the cameras.
Svoboda's teammates have noticed an increase in the amounts of absences from practice ever since the cameras started rolling. Often he is in the bathroom, leading to many assumptions about his bowel health. Other times he mysteriously disappears without a trace. Janitors often spot him in the hallways of the arena shooting pucks at whatever most closely resembles a target while his team is out on the ice.
On a few occasions the film crew was allowed into the locker room to get an insight of team dynamics. Svoboda was curiously absent from these scenes as well. He was seen by some leaving the ice and heading straight home, still in his hockey gear. At one point, the camera crew was able to catch him before he was able to escape. Upon attempting to interview him, all Svoboda gave were one word answers before he quickly fled the scene. He is greatly looking forward to when filming stops and he can continue playing hockey like normal. Until then, he will have to find creative ways to keep his face off camera.
I think it's safe to say that Steve Harrington would be getting a lot of screen time in the production. Already a famous television star for his hit Netflix series, Stranger Things (new season coming this summer), Steve is a natural in front of the camera and loves to be there. Luckily the new season has already been filmed so there are no scheduling conflicts here. The Hair is well known for pulling pranks on his fellow teammates, this is why nobody likes him and they didn't vote him to be captain. A lot of focus will be on the new captains in Alexander Roach and Chimkin Wing but Steve will make every effort to make things about him. After all, he is 2nd in points on the team so far this season, only behind new captain Wing. Hopefully he can have another good season and the focus will continue to be on his good play.
For the S64 Aurora, this season is all about turning the page. The team has been through a pretty gruelling rebuild over the last few seasons. But this season has been a shift. The teams prospects are all getting very close to breaking into the league, and are all notable members of their Junior teams.
The team has brought in a few well seasoned leaders into the locker-room to help Bridge the gap between the young and old. So far they have been fantastic additions to the team. The team made some rather large offseason moves, bringing in two very promising young stars into the mix, one of those trades included a Draft Day move that saw the team trade out from the Number 2 selection and opt not to make any picks in the draft.
For the first time in quite a few seasons, WPG is looking like they are headed exactly where they want to be. Now it is just up to the young crew to keep on earning and growing
Well Mr. Television Executive, I'll tell you why you and the american people need more of the Hamilton Steelhawks in their lives. Not only is Hamilton one of the most decorated franchises in the history of the SHL, but we are the most recent champions despite all odds. People love to hate us, and every single league needs a heel. This season is an odd season, we have the old veterans starting to age out and a gaggle of new birds who are just joining the ranks. The new birds have been very impressive thus far into the season, which shows the potential this roster has to be great yet again in the upcoming seasons. My prediction for this team's success: we will have another cup victory in the next 8 seasons. In 5 seasons, we will be competing at the top of the league, and just entering our winning window again. That is why you should get in early on the Hamilton Steelhawks.
