If Greyson Cooper never started playing hockey & became a professional in the Simulation Hockey League he would most likely be a simulated veterinarian. He loves animals & always has, he grew up on a farm & had many animals growing up including, horses, cows, dogs, goats & chickens. He would have to wake up early in the morning to get his chores done before he was allowed to head to the rink or hit up their outdoor rink at their house. He always told his parents & his family that he would one day work with all of the animals & help every single one. I'm sure if he didn't become a professional hockey player he would have fulfilled that dream. He is brilliant & a quick thinker so that would help in his career. It would be super different than what he does not but also a very rewarding job. 152 Words

I would like to say that I didn’t have to have a second job, but being a female on the ice doesn’t pay all the bills. Sure it’s fun, it’s my job and hobby, bit I also need to pay my usual bills.
Our coach loves for us to practice the way we play, so luckily for me that means I get to practice around the same hours that we have games! This really works well with my job. I was hired as a traveling EMT. I work during the days, and am able to practice and play after work. Luckily for me, I do not need to know the routes for the ambulance and I am able to work my entire shift in the back of the bus. I really enjoy helping people, even in communities on the road where we are playing. I have met and been able to help so many fantastic people. (160 words)

Mikko Rashford dreams of the day where he can join the Disc Golf Simulation Tour. As an avid Disc Golfer in his spare time, Rashford loves getting out on the course and just enjoying getting a round in. Ideally Rashford would be able to get playing in all of the major events across the tour. Outside of just competing in the events, Rashford looks forward to building some courses in his hometown in Finland. When Rashford is not on the course in this alternative life, he is out learning how to cook a new meal. His travels around the world has given him a passion for different culinary delights. Having hired a chef to cook all his meals, it has turned into more of a educational experience as Rashford finds himself becoming an assistant to his own chef cooking his meals. In another future life, Rashford probably finds himself doing arts and crafts with his nieces (wait, that feels like a current life)

Prompt 2
There is an aspect of the game that I feel has so much potential but keeps getting overlooked. Perhaps it is because to pull it off you would require a very skilled and particular team or someone with a particular set of skills. That being said i feel that I would add set pieces where the players would pass the puck with their skates or set up for headers. There's a whole level of hockey ripe for the taking by creating tiki taka tactics, where the forwards will do feet passes, including some backheel touches, to set up the sniper for the final shot. Also set up a cross from the faceoff dot, where the forward would lob the puck towards the center, where the tallest defender would be ready to drive the puck in with his head, and score with the header. While this would be a hard system to implement, it would create such disruption that it would prove incredibly effective at least for a couple of seasons [pbl]SMJHL Career:[/pbl]

Matsmith has woken up in an alternate realty after being hit in the head. All of a sudden he has a new job and he is quite good at it. He ends up being a famous brewer in this life. He grew up around Corey Kennedy who was an avid drinker and this leaked over to his home life. He makes an incredibly good brewers as he is strong, lean, and a fantastic sense of smell, this last one doesn't help with hockey.
He ends up living in Chicago, owning a brewpub and making beer for the entirety of his life. He never touches a hockey stick or puck, but for some reason his brewery is a hockey bar and themed after Vikings. He has no idea why this is the case, but something in this resonates with him. His beer becomes the official beer of the Syndicate and the brewery is the Chicago viewing party for all games. So somehow his life is still revolving around hockey.

Regé-Jean Page jolted awake in his bedroom, grasping for the fragments of the vivid dream that were rapidly dissolving. He had been an ice hockey player over in the United States? It all seemed so real... Page had never skated before in his life, but in the dream it felt so natural, and it felt like the dream had gone on for years, as if he had lived most of the career of an athlete in one night. The metal trophy lifted over his head, the cool air at the rink, it was hard to believe that it had all just been in his mind. Sitting up against his pillows he tried to remember what happened right before he woke up. He was on the ice but something had hit him in the temple out of nowhere, jolting him awake. The details were becoming more and more faint as he checked the time, it was early but no use trying to get back to sleep after that. The actor swung his feet off the bed and made his way to the bathroom, he had a long day of filming ahead.

Tom started streaming World of Warcraft after he was hit in the head with a puck at practice. He's really good at the game and his stream has become quite popular. Tom is not famous, but he has a large and dedicated following on his World of Warcraft stream. His viewers enjoy watching him play and he has built up a good rapport with them.Tom's life consists of streaming World of Warcraft, interacting with his viewers, and playing a lot of video games. He enjoys his life and finds it very fulfilling. Tom is not married. Really, his life hasn’t changed much at all. He played a lot of WoW even before he got in the head with a hockey puck.

If Leon ended up getting in an accident and switching lives with another random person he'd be great as an athletic trainer/rehab specialist. Leon spent much of his childhood and his young adult years learning about the human body and learning how to maximize his own gifts, however he got a lot of great information that can be applied to anyone looking to stay healthy and get the most out of their body's abilities. He was planning on going to university to study biomechanics and still may in the offseasons soon to help make sure he has something to do after his playing days. Since he's been learning for so long and been involved in sports his whole life he would bring a lot of personal experience that can be useful and having rehabbed injuries before he understands the mental hurdles that you have to get over as you heal.

If Lord Raiden was not a simulated hockey player then I guess the next best thing for me would be simulated mixed martial arts fighter. Raiden has the talent to succeed as a fighter. Lord Raiden is also the God of Thunder and has competed in several Mortal Kombat tournaments. My life as a fighter would be very similar to my every day life as a hockey player. Train as much as possible then on game day, fight to the death. I think I would do very well as a fighter, I have the strength, stamina, and very technical in my craft. I have the speed and aggression to take on any opponent. I think I would still end up somewhat rich and famous. Might not be the best of all-time but certainly someone that will be remembered. I definitely would be one of the most entertaining fighters to ever fight. It would always be an electrifying fight. -158 Words

This is right up my alley because I'm a big planner, schemer, and brainstormer. My initial thought was to find the largest human I could find to be my goalie. I'd just stick them in the goal and because of their size, it would be virtually impossible for the opposing team to score against them. Another idea I had was to put four defensemen on the ice when we're shorthanded. The main goal is to kill as many penalties as possible and I would gladly trade a lower shorthanded goal ratio for a higher penalty-kill ratio. There's just something so demoralizing about not being able to capitalize on the powerplay that would make my four defensemen strategy so important. We would focus every second of the powerplay on killing the penalty and shutting down any semblance of attack. Delay, slow down, anything we could to keep the opposition out of the net. After a few successful penalty kills in a row, the other team would be so downtrodden that we could seize the momentum back and come out on top. Strike while they're frustrated!

Hockey Prompt:
Upon waking up in the position of a head coach, the first thing I would do is make sure I wasn't dreaming. No way in hell would that be a normal thing. Once I moved passed that point and got into the nitty gritty if coaching, I would start by looking at the strengths and weaknesses kf the players. Ask them what it is they would like to be able to do and try and support them. I would also encourage all players to take figure skating lessons to assist with learning the minutia of quick movements. Yes, they are slightly different, but reports from players who have done such things have been promising. Finally, I would take aside whichever players wanted to be fighters and have them train in not only boxing but other disciplines. Enough of this stand there and punch the other in the face until one falls down. Block that punch and armbar them to the ice. Or go for the throat. I dunno, don't just stand there and let them wail on you.

Chad already has a rocking job outside of the SHL as a rockstar, so let's start having him act as a coach. There are a few little things I'd be eager to try:
Full team of goons - now we know that having a few goons on a team is a type of hockey that we're starting to move away from in more modern hockey, but we haven't tried fielding a team of modern day goons. Those big guys with some skill who are more than happy to throwdown and get a little greasy. Sure, the overall skill may not be as good as some other team, but they'll be able to really put a beating on the other team, making it incredibly hard for them to play. Last minute crease packing - as a contrary strategy to pulling the goalie, I'd like to take time with my team to practice how to best block the net. We'll set up during practice and work on how to beat Tetris players into the net to make sure there's no gaps to shoot through. FOOLPROOF

Prompt 2 - Hockey Prompt
If Bavel Pure woke up and thought that he was the coach of the St. Louis Scraecrows, instead of one of their wingers, he would probably make some big changes for the Scarecrows team. Bavel being an offensive minded player, he would want to bring that same mentality to coaching. He would implement an all out attack strategy for the Crows, make sure that all of the players were thinking about scoring at all times. The goals for stat would be greatly improved but the goals against would suffer, like a lot. Giving all of his players, including the defensemen, free reign to attack the opposition net at any chance they could get would no doubt give the fans some exciting hockey to watch, but the team would be hard pressed to win a lot of games with absolutely no focus on defense. Bavel's vision of him as a head coach didn't last all that lot and that is probably a good thing. He will most likely not be exploring a post playing career behind the bench and will be listening and practicing much more on his defense game. sig by @Bruins10
