Jeff Goldblum is a unique and intriguing prospect as a shutdown defenseman. Known for his charismatic personality off the ice, he has shown that this same charisma translates well on ice. He possesses the ability to enchant opponents and create opportunities through his charm. Surprisingly powerful in his skating and physicality, Goldblum combines his entertainment background with his gritty play, standing tall at over 6 feet in height.

He covers the ice efficiently, often catching opponents off-guard with his smooth transitions and quick bursts of speed. This agility allows him to excel in defensive situations, enabling him to close gaps and disrupt opponents effectively.
Despite his background as an actor, Goldblum is no stranger to the physical aspects of the game. His height is obvious but he somehow hides his imposing strength from view. Giving him an advantage in board battles and one-on-one situations. He wasn't known for being a tough guy in Hollywood, but he has proved that he can lay down hard-hitting checks on anyone, he isn't afraid to engage physically and deliver bone-jarring hits that can change the momentum of a game. Jordan Thompson Scouting Report (335 Words)
Profile:
While the term ‘Generational Talent’ is not lightly thrown around, when looking at the history of the SMJHL and the SHL in general… Jordan Thompson fits the bill. Jordan is a pure goal scorer with exceptional talent on each side of the ice. A talent like this does not come around often, so teams should be looking at what he brings to the table early in the draft.
Offensive Juggernaut:
Coming out of the collegiate ranks, Thompson is considered to be an elite shooter in open, and in tight space. Jordan has been known to be a smart offensive play caller and handles the pressure of the position with ease. He has incredible hands and is a deceptive playmaker when skating at strength, or with having a man advantage.
Passing:
Because of Jordan’s hands, and his elite puck handling skills, he is adept passer on the ice. His vision is top notch and will help his teammates play in the plus at all given times because of his ability to read motion and the defensive alignment. While his offensive prowess wows many, leaving him atop this draft class, his playmaking flies under the radar which will help his team succeed as a whole.
Athleticism:
Jordan is what some may call an “Athletic Freak.” Standing at 6’3” in sneakers, and 6’8” tall in skates, with a muscular 215lb frame, Jordan has the intangibles to slot into many schemes on the offensive side of the puck. At the pre-draft scouting combine, Jordan read a VO2 max of 66.0, a standing jump of 119.0 inches, a vertical jump of 31.25 inches, 3.98 on the pro agility testing, and 14.9 watts/kg on the Wingate testing. With these numbers, Jordan sits atop his class in all athletic testing categories.
Jordan is by far slated to be the best player in this upcoming class, and with his determination, selflessness and desire to succeed, coaches and scouts will look back on this draft class wondering why they didn’t take Jordan sooner.
