Written Task: If your team made the playoffs, write 150+ words explaining why and how you're about to demolish your opposition. If your team made the playoffs and is eliminated in the first round before you complete this task, write it as if playoffs had not yet began and your outcome were still possible.
If your team did not make the playoffs, describe how your team got screwed out of a playoff spot: by scheduling, by the league, by the hockey gods/FHM, or by me personally - list not inclusive. Be as conspiratorial and paranoid as possible.
If your team was actively tanking, or you'd just prefer this option, write about how your team got screwed out of the best lottery odds.

You never get screwed by luck, you're always affected by it. That's the thing about probability, Hoang understands. Since the start of his career, with his career with the snake-bitten Grizzlies, or the any-season-now Monarchs, it's been because of a few small decisions that slowly but surely butterfly into hundreds of changes in his life. So when people get down on themselves or on the team itself for the bad hand that's been dealt them, Hoang can only roll his eyes. You have to understand that some things happen because other things happen, not because luck moves in one way or another. It's not a jedi-like denial of the concept - there is such a thing as luck - but a softer way of dealing with problems that come from luck.
