Training hand eye is quite important in hockey, it can make or break a lot of plays, and often times can lead to straight up goals with a good tip in front too. It's not really the biggest fundamental skill like skating or strength, but it is one of those things that isn't as easy to improve either. I think one of the better ways to improve hand eye is to do some quick ball drop catch drills. You see some formula 1 drivers do this drill often, where a trainer will hold out a tennis ball in each hand and you need to react to them and catch one or both as quick as possible depending on what they drop. I think something like this is good at helping reaction time more than actual hand eye with a puck, but it will not only improve your eye to hand motor coordination (since you have to be good at getting your hands in the right place to catch) but also will work on how you respond to things quickly, such as a puck coming in from the point or another player putting out a poke check etc. If you can respond a quarter or tenth of a second faster, even if you don't have the softest hands with your stick it can make a difference and might also help slow the game down a little bit and get you used to responding as opposed to thinking too much in the play.

Brandon Gilleyes has been realizing he has slowed down on his shooting percentage in the recent games.

Gilleyes: "What do I need to do to improve my shooting percentage and score more goals?"

Answer:
Watch tape of you games, your shots and see how you've been scoring and how you have been stopped. Then watch how the goalies play and see what their weakness is when playing the Raptors. After look at the teams goalies' play in general and make a list of the teams weakness in net. After that go and work on accuracy to where the weaknesses are for the teams to get used to that. Have a coach make a drill after where they say a team and goalie and you shoot at their weakness. Keep trying until it gets into a habit. If that does not work then work on your shooting power and overall accuracy.

Gilleyes: "Wow this is very helpful and I will be sure to practice this stuff to possibly make my shooting percentage better."

How do you best train your hand-eye coordination as a player? Well it's simple. Porn. Watch all the porn. Learn to watch porn while you eat dinner, take a shower, or even drive. Watch so much porn that you subconsciously are starting to touch yourself as you go to sleep. That level of self love will greatly increase your ability on the ice. Soon on the ice you'll see your hand eye go way up. You'll be able to deflect pucks at will, while looking at the attractive person that is sitting in the nose bleeds. Hands like silk with all the work you'll be putting onto your body. Or if you want some actual practice, buy a LED screen and load one of those light programs where you have to touch the light as quick as possible as it moves around the screen. Look I don't know, I'm a hockey player not a sports scientist.

Hand-eye co ordination is a very strange thing to practice. Of course, as a goalie, it is a very crucial aspect of being great at stopping pucks. A great way to train it is simply start standing in net and learn to react and predict to where the puck is going. But, for a more effective practice tool for this very peculiar skillset, you need something more... hands on.

The simple way is just throwing tennis balls at a wall very close to you and react to catching them. Preferably two at the same time, or have someone else throw them from behind you. Another good way to train this is something I learnt from my brother. Take something that weights less than a regular puck and dribble with it for 20-30 seconds very quickly. Never look down, just go for the feel of where you think it should be. This way, you learn how to not look at the puck and go more with feel, which will help in the long run to keep your head up.

Hand to eye coordination is not one of Mac Turner of the Regina elks stregnths. I mean, he will give you his best shot at tips but there are better guys to learn from. None the less here I go. Mac Turner would first prob be like, "The best way to learn hand eye coordination is by doing" now Mac Turner's favorite way of 'doing' is fighting. In fact he calls it the "Mac Sandwich Deluxe." So Mac Turner might first take you through fighting even though I have no idea how that would help. Next maybe he would teach you how to juggle another one of Mac Turner's skills. I think that might be more useful but I dont know. It  might take you awhile to actually get the hang of juggling, its not easy at first but once you got it, you got it. So doing that could definelty help you there.

Oh, hand-eye coordination is the sort of thing that sadly takes a lot more time than one would expect in terms of skills that you can use in a hockey game. That said, you can train it in many ways, whether at the gym or just at home, practicing with throwing lemons and whatnot. That said, I doubt I can really say what is the best way to train it.

I mean, you could think of it psychologically - the best way to train is to find something you see as pleasant enough that allows you to develop your skills while you simply enjoy yourself (or just not bore yourself to tears while doing so) which is then a "win-win". Sunrise himself mostly practiced that sort of stuff as a youth in his family's farm, throwing vegetables around and whatnot, though it also helped to try and tackle pigs down before they left their area.

First of all, Bobby Orr is not my favorite player ever, nor is he the best defenseman of all time. So I will just pretend my player was visited by the true GOAT defenseman, Nick Lidstrom. Anyway, the message I would assume was being conveyed would be that I need to stop doing acid at night, because why would I be visited in the night by a player that is still alive? That makes no sense. But if I could ask Nick anything in the entire world, I would probably ask him if I could borrow like $500,000. I could definitely pay off my house with that and have some left over to invest and save. If it had to be hockey related, I would ask if he could sleep with his head against mine for one night so maybe I could absorb some of his hockey IQ and not be such a complete dumpster fire on the ice. Fuck the Bruins.

If a teammate asked about ways to improve hand eye coordination, Dusty Rhodes has a unique way of training for that. He plays darts. If there was ever somewhere where you need tremendous hand eye coordination, darts is where it's at. With the variety of different types of games and situations that can happen in any dart match,y you have to be able to accurately hit any portion of the board. It may not seem like it would translate to hockey but when you need to hit a double in the upper right corner, fitting the dart into that tiny spot is very much like shooting a puck into the upper right corner. Darts allows you to be flexible enough to move all around the board. Hockey is the same way, you have to be able to target any spot on the net at any time. So while you might not think this training method would translate to hockey, it's helped Rhodes develop his game and he gladly lets his teammates know his secret.

Option 2:


Training Hand-Eye Coordination comes naturally to Gordon William Gibbles. The goal scoring phenom has to have top notch talents to be able to slip the puck past the enemy goalie after all. The first training exercise Gibbles would suggest for his teammate would be to take a carton or eggs out onto a local frozen pond and practice moving it around with their stick. They would have to be gentle enough to move the egg swiftly, but also avoiding breaking it and causing a mess. Then need to learn just the right amount of force needed for each movement before trying it out in a game. The next training exercise would be to catch grains of rice with a pair of chop sticks. They need to learn to be precise and make ever movement intentional. Being able to thread a puck though the entire other team takes time and effort after all. The final training exercise would be a nice game of dodgeball.

Hand-eye coordination is something that bongo has very little knowledge of, however, he reached out to agnus mcfife (otherwise known as micool132) to ask him for some advice concerning this skill. Micool said that he likes to wear a colourful rainbow propeller hat, and tie a string to the top of it, and then begin punching the ball attached to the string while the propellor revolves around around in rapid succession - it is kinda like a heavy bag, but micool's weak wrists would fold if he touched a heavy bag. This is because micool has a calcium deficiency and also he has low iron.

Micool also helped BONGO clapbomb some epic one timers into the back of the twine. we chucked ridiculous sauce left right and centre and even did backhanded one-timers. Micool swears that he will win the cup and clinch the game 7 victory using his hand eye coordination methods, and that he will use his patented 1 timer backhanded sauce to go top cheese.

Just simpletons call it hand-eye coordination. The masters in the discipline like to refer it as eye-hand coordination, as they know that it is the eyes that do the work and lead, the hands just just follow. Thus, the key to training this is to focus training on the eyes, as being athletes, having good hand function and ability is already a given. So how do you train ones eyes to become a master at eye-hand coordination you ask? It is simple, to master and truly appreciate the gift of sight, one must fully understand what it is to see. Hence the only drill you have to do is to simulate blindness, either by but not limited to blindfold, having a severe allergic reaction, bee stings to the eyes, pinkeye, having your eyeballs surgically removed, or only being in rooms/environments where it is pitch black. This will heighten all your other senses including sight, as not being able to see for an extended period of time will give you SUPER vision once you are able to see again, everyone knows that.. duh.

LARGEST PUNISHMENT IN SHL HISTORY

First off, Bobby Orr is a 70s superstar, not 80s. Get your facts straight. You are 100% on the nose with the fact that he’s the greatest offensive defenseman ever, however. Anyway, when Lord Farquaads walked away from his meeting with Robert Gordon Orr, he came away with knowing that he is appreciating the sport more and more every day. Hockey gave him a new opportunity that he didn’t have after his unfortunate dismissal as Lord of Duloc by the green skinned menace, Shrek. Sometimes, hockey has turned into a chore for Lord Farquaads, but this spectral visit has given Lord Farquaads important perspective and he has a newly rekindled passion for the sport. He’s actually just now started to volunteer at the local youth hockey program to give back to Manitoba kids that come to watch him play in the SHL on a nightly basis. It’s the start of a new chapter.

Second prompt: When Lias is asked about improving hand eye coordination, he tells people that the best way they can practice is to come and spend a summer working at his mothers’ sandwich shop in Visby. Summer is the busy season there, and the sandwich shop business is usually booming that time of year, so there is a lot of high stakes sandwich making and handing the sandwiches out to people who have ordered them. People are in a hurry and want their sandwiches fast so they can get back to their summertime relaxing and shopping and visiting the Viking museum. Sometimes you even end up carrying six or seven sandwiches at the same time, balancing the plates as you sidestep hungry tourists and dodge around tables. It’s a great way to work on both your hand eye coordination and your balance and overall bodily coordination in general. Plus some of the tourists tip so the extra cash is nice.
