Code: 1. Milestones, up to 3 TPE. S75 MILESTONES +2 TPE Code: 3. Written, 3 TPE, The Teammate One (150 words min.) For last season’s all-star week, I wrote a bit about how Peter Tingle, aka Ricer13, should have made the all-star game despite most other choices being statistically better. This season, Tingle made the all-star game so there isn’t a lot more that I can write about him that you wouldn’t have taken away from my write up last season. Regardless, here it goes. Peter Tingle (Ricer13) came to New Orleans as what we considered a steal of a pick. He was very active in the VHL and seemed determined to make a name for himself in the SHL as well. Last season, he narrowly led the team in points but it was his first season as the full time first line center. This season, his 79 points may not look like much but the team as a whole struggled offensively. He carried the Specters at times and deserved his spot as an all-star. [153 words] +3 TPE Code: 6. +2 TPE Code: 8. Written, 3 TPE, 75 seasons worth of stars (150 words min.) It's Season 75 already? Here is my super team, using only one player from each of the time periods above: F - Jason Visser (1) - Any top team is going to have the number 1 player in the entire history of the league (Wayne Gretzky anybody) leading the way. He's a winner, baby. F - Tony Pepperoni (23) - This guy knows how to transition, and we need that on our team. Smoothly between STHS and FHM, Pepperoni can play through any adversity and that is very valuable. F - Mike Izzy (37) - A controversial pick because the user is an absolute scumbag, but we are separating art from artist here. Izzy was a power forward, and we need a Bertuzzi type player on this all-star first line. D - Darian Scherbluk (12) - Defense wins championships, and this guy also has two Turd Ferguson awards, which will make this team very hard to play against. One of the best two-way defensemen in league history. D - Bojo Biscuit (56) - Rounding out the top defense pair would this good person and even better player. A punishing defenseman for the West Kendall Platoon, Biscuit balances out this pairing. G - Tommy Tuck (48) - Any goaltender in the top 75 would be able to lead your team to victory. Tommy was a rock in goal for Edmonton from the get go, and I'd feel very comfortable having him in our crease. Code: 10. Written, 3 TPE, One foot inside the Hall (150 words min) There are a few eligible players on the Hall of Fame list that deserve to be in there, but they haven't gotten the call for whatever reason. One of those players is forward Jon Forty-One. His career lasted 16 seasons, bouncing around to five different franchises, but always putting up excellent offensive and defensive numbers no matter where he played. He finished his career with 518 assists and 765 points in only 944 games, but he showed his defensive prowess by putting up nearly 1000 hits and was not afraid to put his body on the line to block shots. Normally, a forward with such good offensive and defensive numbers would be a shoo-in to make the Hall of Fame, so strange he has been passed over again and again. Even better, he played 150 playoff games and scored 95 points, showing he came to play in the big games. Pick this player! 8 TPE
