ONLY S77 SMJHL Rookies (S78 SHL Draftees) are eligible for this PT. This is NOT for people who are getting drafted into the SHL (S77 SHL Draftees).
The time has come. Your talent has been noticed by scouts at the highest junior level, and you are set to be drafted into the Simulation Major Junior Hockey League. What are the talents you possess that got you on the radar for these scouts, and that will get you picked in the S77 SMJHL Draft?
Written option: Write about the main strengths of your player in 50 words or more.
Graphic option: Make a graphic of your player demonstrating their main strength. Must include a player/render and mention what the strength is.

Written task | Off-Character:
Gino will be build to have the ability to regenerate from shots and pressure at lightning speed, kneeling down to use the blocker, then jumping up lightning quick to use the glove, rinse and repeat. I really like this style of relentless goaltending with the will to get back up and up and up again, terrifying forwards. The build will reflect that.
On top Gino will be a talkative, easy-to-be-around locker room presence. Expect Italian memes. Prepare to be smitten if you put pineapple on pizza.
holy shit im doing a PT, but this player watched a lot of Sobchak, who was a championship caliber goalie before his untimely demise. In studying Sobchak, (who was also a J Champ goalie), Zamboni learned a lot on how to protect the net and prevent enemy SCOR, and hopes that J scouts noticed those skills as well.
Leighton Oligny is a playmaking centre hailing from the city of Rouyn-Nouranda, Quebec. His greatest strengths are passing, puckhandling, and offensive decision making. His footwork is nothing to sneeze at either, he demonstrates impressive speed, acceleration, and agility both with and without the puck. Something he needs to improve on if he wants to be a centre long term is his faceoffs, but he should be ready to step onto the wing on any SMJHL team.
Jon Garfield is a centre from Japan, having played most of his junior hockey in Canada. He is a strong playmaker, possessing excellent passing skills and offensive IQ. However, on the offensive side, his shot leaves a lot to be desired, both in accuracy and power. His defensive skills and physical attributes are mediocre to okay at best. Garfield will need to take leverage his strong offensive hockey IQ to improve the other middling aspects of his game.
[S78] #14 C | Jon Garfield [SMJHL] Regina Elk / Thunder Bay Walleye [SHL] Buffalo Stampede | Prospect
[S58] #72 LD | Shion Okamoto [SMJHL] Newfoundland Berserkers | Former Captain | S60, S62 Four Star Cup [SHL] Chicago Syndicate | S64 Challenge Cup [IIHF] Team Japan | S60 Gold
With a shot like a death ray blaster set to "liquefy" and speed like a flying saucer Winnipeg based Left Winger Spaceman Spiff has caught the eyes of scouts. These skills, along with an ability to be in the right place at the right time, has helped the young sniper become a player with great offensive potential.
Jett Labyrinth’s biggest strengths are his size and the way he reads the game on both ends of the ice. He can get open with ease and use his brilliant hockey IQ to make the right decisions. Jett is a very well-rounded player as well and his versatility means that he can play anywhere in the lineup and in any situation.
Valtteri Pulkkinen got same nickname as a legendary finnish winger Teemu Selänne. "Finnish flash" nickname came from Valtteri's ability to fly past opponents with ease. Even tho he is known for his incredible speed his biggest strength is his ability to find his teammates with pin point accurate passes. His ability to scan around the ice and find the perfect pass is something look for upcoming smjhl season.
Campbell is going to be an offensive dynamo. He will be borderline unstoppable with the puck. Not only that, but he has future captain written all over him. He hopes to follow in the steps of Landon, who wore the C and won a championship at the J level with Vancouver way back in the day. While Campbell is much more offensive, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree when it comes to leadership.

S61 Four Star Cup - Game-Winning Goal in the clinching Game 4
My player's name is Ivan Godinez. He will be a Quinn Hughes / Cale Makar esque. An Offensive defenseman who can put the puck in the net more times than not. Quarterback on the PP, always thinking how to be in the right place at the right time. Along with having a GREAT IQ, he can be a hard hitting, shot blocking shutdown defenseman. However, the shutdown defenseman play style will come later in my career with poise & experience. My ultimate playing style would be to have the best all rounded skater period!
While forwards are often in the spotlight, the true strength of Elliot Alderson lies in his defensive and physical capabilities. My philosophy is that while offense may win games, defense wins championships! By focusing on shutting down opponents and providing a reliable defensive foundation, my player aims to be a foundation stone for any team.
Shot blocking, checking, defensive IQ and hitting will be the highest attributes
Mathias is a player with excellent game-sense, seeing opportunities for interruptive defence, and aggressive plays working with the forward line. He’s great at locking down opponent movement with heavy checks, and making sure that he’s open, and able to participate in plays in both movements across the rink!
Ville Sato-Maki has that elite faceoff ability and player both defense and offense making him an excellent skater to put on any team's penalty kill and to stop the offense of the opposing team. In addition to his current defensive capabilities, he has a lot of room to grow and improve once he is drafted to the SMJHL.
