Injuries. Make everyone miserable. Oops, bad injury? NO PLAY for one season and you lose half of your TPE until your injury is finished with. Bwahaha, feel my wrath as the FM-whatever-version-we're-using tyrant!

Just kidding. Maybe we do group pressers with hilarious mic moments with significant bank involvement? That would be great.

What the NHL should take from the SHL is the live game graphics..... like the NHL just doesn't have the same game graphics as the SHL. NHL FIX THIS RN!

i am once again begging to get rid of the fucking shootout. the nhl introduced it to abolish ties because "ties were boring". entertainment value of actual games matters significantly less here. BRING ME TIES OR BRING ME DEATH

There really isn't much to do difference, as here you cant just win based on attitude, you need a team with a certain amount of tpe level to atleast try and win.

I don't know enough about hockey to participate in this point task in a fair fashion, and so instead am going to tackle it in an unfair fashion.

What I would like to see is making more use of the simulated nature of the game. Double the size of the rink, add an extra goal, double active team sizes, and throw another puck on the ice. I think that would lead to a significant increase in strategy as do you focus your defenders to support your weaker goalie, do you try to get both pucks targeting the weaker goalie, or do you spread your team around to try to force the opponent to do the same? Lots of options.

I think video highlight packages would be really neat. Obviously I get why it isnt a thing but that would just be awesome to watch.

I think the SHL and the NHL for that matter, should do-away with shootouts. Even a muppety game in the early part of the season would be fun to see triple over-time.

i personally do not love the amount of teams who get into playoffs. in a 20~ team league there should be less teams in the post-season. When is the last time we saw a 6-8 seed do anything in the ploffs?

One thing that would be cool to see is minor leagues being affiliated with major leagues, with the ability to call up and send down players between the 2. I know its not super feasible in our kind of league, but could still be neat.

Actually implement injuries and if we are injured we should be out for a new games like they do in real life. Maybe increase the salary cap and have teams do things to raise their own money without relying on the league for funding too.

Injuries! The simulation hockey league should bring in injuries on a limited basis. Maybe you can only get hurt 5 times a season and it's all 100% luck. Let's also bring in the cap circumvention into play here.

One thing I would change is the TPE caps in juniors for 1st/2nd season players. It doesn't allow for fully active members to get the most out of their experience in the J, if you want to earn and be a young phenom you should be allowed to and not be nerfed for the benefit of 3rd/4th season players. Imagine telling Connor Bedard he wasn't allowed to be good just because he was younger than his teammates!

I'd like to see the league have actual fighting with actual penalties. match suspensions, etc. Would lead to players with agitating archetypes actually being able to harass and remove enemy players from their team.

I guess it's not really a SHL vs NHL thing, more of a fake money vs real money thing, but I wish there was more incentive to negotiate and try to get bigger contracts as a player. I would love to see players move around, taking bigger contracts because they had a productive year or two.

The team spotlights are a good start to this, but we should be able to submit questions for players/GMs/Coaches and have media days where they all get answered at once in the form of a post-game interview or some such.
