S78 SMJHL PT #1: Season Preview Due: Sunday, August 18th @ 11:59 PM PST
#46

After a promising pre-season, the Detroit Falcons started the SMJHL season with a lackluster performance in the first three games. It has not been easy, however the Flacons are a tenacious team full of grit. As the season progresses, it is expected that Jimbob Ghostkeeper can start to flourish in his role as the third line center, providing defense in his role as a depth forward. He has been fortunate enough to tack on points as the Falcons begin to mesh together as a new team. Their captain, Anastasia Soderstrom, expects to have an exceptional year bolstered by the defensive lines in front of her. Their top forwards, Brayden Point and Theo Kane, are hopeful in their endeavors to provide elite offense and lead a young team to the SMJHL Playoffs as they look forward to the Cup. We expect nothing but a Cup run from the Falcons, and we're re excited to see where this team leads Detroit. Lets Go Falcons!

This is Chaos Giraffe reporting from Thunder Bay. With a 6-8-1 record to start the season the Walleye have gotten some key contributions from Tip Toasty and Puddles O'Duckling which have been two rookies so far, leading the team scoring. In addition to Teddy Bloos and myself of course I think they will be crucial to the Walleye's success for this season and many beyond. Toasty and O'Duckling have well-rounded offensive builds that slot well in any line. Centered by Bloos, a strong playmaker, a line like this has tons of room for development and potential. Giraffe is holding his own on the 1st line for Thunder Bay, using his physical presence and stature to dominate the ice. He'll provide much needed sparks of physicality if things aren't going as planned for Thunder Bay. Overall these 4 rookies will look to make an impact in their first season.

I think the Berserkers need a SOLID GREAT SUPERB play from our rookie class to be a real threat in the league. I say this from absolutely no knowledge on how we did last season or what kind of TPE count we have for any player, not even myself. I think I myself will need to be great in all ways because it is me and i will be disappointed if i am not great. I also think that our first rounders Jason Bourne and Ima Noobie need to put in great performances for the team from the get go. This not only because they were chosen ahead of a superstar like myself, but also because they should lead the way as first rounders with the hype that comes with it. Bourne is a very offensive player that should produce a lot of points, while Noobie is a very solid all rounder that should have a strong game on both ends.
