Written Option 1: It’s usually commonplace to see hockey athletes in major leagues like the NHL and the PWHL come to game days dressed in formal attire. From full on suit and tie or just a nice fancy fit, the outfits are always full of style. This is the SHL however. Where people of all sorts come together to play in strongest league known to allkind. What does your player wear on gamedays? How do your teammates or media feel about your outfit choices? Does your player follow the tradition of the other leagues? Or do they break the mold and rock something unique every game?
Graphic Option 1: Draw your player with their sweet pre-game fit.
Written Option 2: Jersey designers everywhere battle for the opportunity to design jerseys for some of the most prestigious teams in the world like the ones of the SHL and SMJHL. Your player has been tasked by their organization to help design a new jersey for your team for a charity event of your player’s choosing. What cause does your player choose to support? What does this new jersey your player helped design look like? How do the fans or some of your fellow teammates feel about this new jersey?
Graphic Option 2: Design a new jersey for your team’s newest event night.

Written Option 1: What to wear on game day is a big question for any athlete. For Alexa, though, the fancy suits so many wear seem like a lot more effort than they're worth. Not only do you need to get that kind of thing dry cleaned, time you could be spending practicing (or being awake at 2am unable to sleep), and then it needs to be stored carefully to ensure it stays nice and clean. Then, on top of all that, you need to constantly come up with new combinations, reach out to new designers and either get them to give you things for free, or pay them for it, and actually have the lack of concern to wear it in public... it's a lot. A simple pair of jeans and a shirt is more than enough to get to the stadium, and you're not going to be wearing the fancy suit to play in, anyways.
For William Salming, game day is a celebration day. It means you want to dress well on those days. So, Salming uses different kinds of suits like NHL players. He is a little bit old school guy and wants to keep the tradition alive and arrives to the hockey rink wearing a suit. Media or other players do not think about anything special because you see it happening every day also in the NHL. Salming doesn't want to be too much different than others and he is fine that he can be hide for a bigger group that way because in his opinion most SHL players dress like him on game days. Salming does not want to unique or wear too bright colours. He prefers basic black and grey suits over anything else. His shoes are black, not white or blue. His pants are black with a brown belt. His socks are of course black too. And his hair is free. He doesn't wear a hat or cap.

Option 1: I think that the media and fans would like my outfit, although some of them would definitely call out the matching pocket square and tie since that’s a no no. My other outfit of choice would be a little goofy and would be something I’d wear to an event like an all star game or something to that extent. This is what I like to call the tourist dadfit. I’d start off by wearing the whitest new balances I can find, and long crew socks. My pants would be khaki cargo shorts and I’d wear a nice Hawaiian shirt. I’d leave the top few buttons undone and show off my chest and the golden chain I’d be wearing. The final touches to the outfit would be aviators and a nice watch. You laugh now but I’d eat it up. I think the media and fans would probably make jokes about it and make me a meme for it but that’s exactly what I’m going for. A funny outfit that can make some people laugh. It’s not supposed to be a “serious” outfit. It’s just supposed to be fun.
Grzegorz is more than happy to help design a specialty jersey. His teammates will be all over the more usual charities and causes, so he feels free to pick something more niche. Polish heritage night doesn't make a lot of sense in LA; that's not really where the Polaks are and it's impossible to find good pierogi in this town. If he played in Pittsburgh or Chicago, sure, but not LA. There is, however, a large LA population of another ethnic group that has recently suffered a great deal getting run over by a war between two other powers: the Lebanese, who have spent the better part of the past hundred years caught between Israel and Iran. Right now, infrastructure barely exists there and electricity is a rare blessing. Lebanese heritage night as sponsored by Greg the Goalie comes as a surprise to most of the fandom, not least the Lebanese themselves, but once they realize it isn't a prank the event takes off. The Panther wears a cedar that night and proceeds go to a relief organization to make what small improvements they can back in the old country.
Marek, as we've discussed before, does try his best to adhere to a routine, and that includes his gameday 'drip'. Historically, Marek has followed all team rules in terms of what to wear on a gameday - from wearing jerseys to school as a kid to wearing a button down shirt and tie to school as he got older, and to the team tracksuits in the SMJHL, he's always made sure not to incur the wrath of the coaches and managers by going off-board. The lax rules of the SHL come as a bit of a surprise, given the structure Marek encountered on the way up the ladder. Marek, therefore, makes his own rule, emulating other top sports leagues by wearing suits. While he's not particularly flamboyant, he does get a bit adventurous with the colors sometimes, recently adding a Philly Orange suit just this season. He buys 5 new suits per year, and cycles through them throughout - discarding htose that no longer fit properly or are worn out. In his third season now, his collection has really grown and stands at 12 as of this writing - luckily his salary and closets have grown as well!
Valtteri goes for a blend of streetwear and high fashion, choosing pieces that make a statement. He loves fashion and wants to show his creativity with his game day outfits. Wether it is a shirt with some bold colour, some shiny accessories or exclusive pair of sneakers you never know what you will get from him. Valtteris teammates admire the style he brings to the team. While most of the guys stick to suits they value Valtteris creativity and self expression. It has become somewhat of a team tradition to anticipate Valtteris outfit turning the pre game entrance into a small fashion showcase. The media have varying opinions, on Valtteris fashion choices. Some older individuals criticize his outfits while the younger audience greatly appreciates his fashion sense and they admire how he expresses himself through his clothing choices. They also appreciate how he has brought this fashion culture to the shl stage.
In terms of fashion to games Ju-gong would certainly make sure things don’t look unprofessional, but neither would he really care to dress up in anything formal either. For most game days, something along the lines of a sports jacket and jeans would be the most common sighting upon arrival. He has a wardrobe of many similar things he would wear to games, but it would generally be about the same 7 or 8 same fits throughout the year. In terms of special games like playoffs or all-star games, he would by instruction probably wear something more formal to those, but still nothing flashy. A simple black or brown dress suit and tie combo with slacks and some nice shoes would be his go to. In this case, he only has two suits he alternates between, so there would be much less variety. Still, when the moments matter he would still look as sharp as anyone else, even if its not his favorite kind of clothes to wear.

It is and always has been a safe bet that Georg N'Zola does not wear any formal attire when its game day, quite the opposite to be certain of it. He loves his hoodies and sweatpants way more than anything else in the world. Come to think of it wearing something like a suit or a more smart casual-esque is a little off in my mind - like yes you are supporting the game as well as your own organisation on top of the opposing organisation when you think of it slightly differently but other than that I see no point why players or even staff members should dress like they are going to a 3 michelin star restaurant right after the game. The media is not really keen on his decision to wear the most comfortable clothes he has in his wardrobe, but they can suck it. In the end Georg is there to play hockey, not to please people outside of the hockey scene
There are many options for charities to support and deciding which is the best is difficult. However, for this special event where we would get to design a jersey, it would have to be one that would also look so good on a jersey that people would want to buy it. Selling charity jerseys makes it extra special. So Shaggy picked a charity that looks after abandoned puppies that need new homes. He has a dog named Rug and he's been considering getting another one. Imagine jerseys full of photo prints of cute puppies, framed in a nice design. It would be the cutest jersey ever. Everyone would want to have one of those. Shaggy would help the charity organization set up photo sessions for the puppies and perhaps along with the jersey they could release one of those "hockey players with puppies" calendars that fans enjoy. Of course, the entire team likes the idea and supports it.
