With the playoffs getting underway tonight, the SHL All Star Committee is getting down and dirty looking at the best players from this past season. It took a little moment to get the new All Star Head settled into the office (it's me: hi!), but now things are rolling, rolling, rolling.

Just a long swim across the Gulf of Mexico from our last SHL host city, your arrival will be smooth as Tampa Bay is actually the largest port in Florida. From historic military installations to Busch Gardens, there's plenty to experience in Tampa! Players and visitors can also explore the nearby coastal cities of St. Petersburg and Clearwater if they prefer relaxing on the beach. @PremierBromanov and @hockeyiscool can help with travel and accommodations.

All Star Logo Contest Shl

The rules are simple, and always the same:

Submissions include two (2) variations: One (1) for SHL and one (1) for the SMJHL.
The logos must be the same in every other way except for the league abbreviation.
We strongly recommend incorporating the host team's colors and overall theme into the logo (TBB info)

The committee will vote on the logo submissions and the total of the votes will determine the winner(s). In case of a tie, GMs from the host team will have the tiebreaker. If the tie persists, the committee head will select the winner of the tie.

Prizes for this contest are:

$4,000,000 for 1st place; and $2,000,000 for 2nd place (if the contest receives less than 5 submissions)
$6,000,000 for 1st place; $3,000,000 for 2nd place; and $1,000,000 for 3rd place if the contest receives 5+ submissions

The logo contest for this season's All-Star Game opens now and will close on Sunday, September 15th @ 11:59pm EST.
