Well everyone it's Dale Murphy. Sorry I haven't been able to cover the IIHF as well as usual.

But I would like to tell everyone that USA has reverted back to being bad. Despite a nice #1 finish last season in the RR they fell in the quarters. And now it's right back to falling in the RR. An awful 5-6-1 record is not even okay for such a premier hockey nation we shouldn't even discuss it.

We would like to salute Max Carnage for his 14 points (4-10) and Jiggle E. Puff for his 6 goals (12 points) on the RR. Of note, somehow Johnny Shuffleboard managed to be a +7 on a team that was -10, with Nathan Meagher next at +3. Quite odd, Shuffleboard seemed to only be on the ice for good USA moments.
