N'Zola has been on Baltimore for just two seasons now but has already established himself among the squad, even without captains recognition. Despite having the likes of M'Baku Olubori who has played his whole career on baltimore as well as Jay Bryzi who is becoming better and better by the day the Platoon GM opted for Georg N'Zola to announce their first round pick which came as a complete surprise. Of course when he gets an opportunity like that handed to him he takes it and graciously walks to the podium.

Now, Georg immediately forgets the name of the player they were going to draft, since the guys they liked the most were all gone by the time it was their time to pick, as the clock runs out hes trying to remember some of the funny sounding players in the draft he and Bryzi were laughing at about how much they were bullied in school when all of a sudden he remembered one name which was righteously goated for a hockey player. Without further ado, the Baltimore Platoon selects Quazon Brosonchi. Guys name is hilarious and sounds like a glorified croissant

It would be an honour to be asked by your team to go up on stage to call out the name of your first round pick.

But the fact of the matter is that you don't need to do anything crazy or outlandish for the moment to be special for the player whose name is being called. No matter what, it will always be memorable. Perhaps that is the boring answer, but from the time they hear their name called, as they're walking up to the stage to pull the jersey over their head for the first time nothing else in the world matters. 
So forego the fireworks, the dj, the classic air horn noise (Bwah-buh-buh-BWAAAAHHHH). Stick to the script and just say their name.

Robo Sven has always had a couple of unique advantages when presented with the opportunity to flourish in a leadership role on the various teams he's been on. His mechanical augments allow him to process the game both quicker and more analytically than most others would be able to, so he's able to parse and present the data from a large sample size to his teammates and/or upper management with a plethora of supporting evidence. Of course, not everything in hockey is able to be broken down by 1s and 0s, sometimes you just have to go with what "feels right". That's the advantage he gets from being half human, half machine. He is able to toe that line of feeling and hard data, and it leads to both respect and confidence from his teammates and management. This will be his first season with the Hamilton Steelhawks, and he's looking forward to displaying his value both as a leader and a scorer in the big leagues.

During the off season Will Nuck likes to make the new acquisitions feel at home by billeting one or two as well as hosting team events like pool parties and BBQ's. Being that Nuck is a new member to the Steelhawk team is not lost on him but he still is on board to showing those newer members around and helping get them comfortable and show them the ropes. Part of the leadership that is shown from Will's perspective is just being there for the new guys. Helping make sure they dont make the same mistakes he did when first arriving and showing them the work ethic thats expected from the club. All members of Hamilton are held at a high level of expectation and its the players that hold each other there more then even the staff or ownership. Being able to billet players allows Will to get the new guys headed in the right direction right out of the gates.

It is always an honour to be the guest or team member to announce your team’s newest first pick in the draft. This season the honour just so happens to be given to your player! How do they react to the news after being called by the team’s general manager? Do they take them up on the offer? If so, how do they do with the announcement? Do they go all out and turn it into a show? Or accidentally flub it and become a meme on the internet?

While it is usually an honor to be able to announce the first round pick, when Peanut received the call from management that they were considering him to make the announcement only a couple things went through his mind:  is this actually a trick and how can he meme this up for the team?  You see, having an anthropomorphic peanut is already a bit unsettling to a lot of people, unless you know you're promoting roasted peanuts and then that makes sense.  But also having one as a hockey player is even more ridiculous when you think about it.  Imagine getting up to make an announcement as representative of your hockey club and getting jeered because you are a freaking human peanut.  Wild isn't it?  As cool as it would be to make the announcement though, John Peanut is more than able to recognize the issues this could cause for the image of the team and always graciously declines in lieu of someone else on the team.  At this point, he doesn't mind being out of the limelight.  He makes his statements on the ice.

Written Option 2:

During the offseason my player always extends help to management if it is needed. Whatever the GMs need him to do, he is always ready and available to help out in whatever way he can. Just this last season, our team's janitor had to take a leave of absence so my player was stuck mopping the floors of the locker room all summer, while all of his teammates were out golfing and drinking beers. He usually loves to take that time with teammates to learn about them as well, and since he is a rookie in the SHL this year, there are a lot of new people that he hasn't met or learnt anything about yet. Rather than give advice to his teammates this season, my player will be looking for others to share their advice with him as he learns the ropes of the SHL and gets acclimated to the league.

Ace Lightning sure loves being a leader, and although that’s not reflected with a letter on his chest, he is leaned upon by team management in other ways. For example, he recently bought a very expensive house which has a ton of guest rooms and a pool. Toronto management called him up and asked if he could house the new rookies during the regular season. He agreed, thinking it was only one or two players, but it turns out that they did not mean rookies on the hockey team, but rather rookies on the teams marching band, which is new to Toronto this season. There were like 13 guys.

Ace Lightning is also really good at technology, so he leads by helping the older managers set up zoom and other applications needed to run a meeting with the league or to set up practice for the week. He likes that.

Written Option 2: Leaders on a hockey team are players who are often there for their team on and off the ice, in season, in playoffs in the offseason. What does your player do during the offseason to show that they’re a leader to management? Do they assist in helping get some teammates up to speed? Do they volunteer to partake in training camp even if they need not show up yet? Or do they simply focus on themselves, aiming to lead by example?

AT-AT Wøllker is going to be a rookie for the Seattle Argonauts in the upcoming season. In a lot of ways, he won't really be expected to be a leader on the ice - he's pretty far down the depth chart so he won't be expected to play big minutes. But there is an expectation that he will do his best in that role and not be a liability to a young team looking to start winning more games. As a rookie, he will be more likely to be looking to the more established players to help guide him and mentor him into becoming a better player. For example, he can learn a lot from a player like Wendolene Ramsbottom who has had an exceptional career being exactly the type of player that AT-AT wants to become so he has a good role model to look to. Despite all this, AT-AT does still believe he can show examples of leadership in his work ethic and drive. He is one of the top earners of his draft class and because of this he is joining the SHL a season earlier than most. This can be especially an example to the current prospects that hard work can and will pay off if you want to make it to the SHL. As well, he is always ready to fight for his teammates, so they will know that AT-AT will be there to rough anyone up who tries to take advantage of them!

It's a big honor to be the person chosen to announce the pick in front of everyone even if it's not really «your» choice.
As we've seen in recent years, team choose someone with a great history with the team and a player that changed the franchise for the better to announced the pick.
I think with the season I had with Texas, I can say that I'm there with those ex-players. The like of Rick Nash, Carey Price, Ryan Getzlaf or Martin Brodeur were one of the most dominant players of there era. While I'm not at Brodeur's level, I think my level is and was good enough to received this honor.
I will try to make it like a pro, naming is team and position while looking at him in the stand (if I know where he is) and welcome him in the Texas family after he came to the stage.

The best way to bring a team together is to do some good old fashioned team bonding time! Cale fresh off signing his new big contract decided to host everyone and their familys for a fun filled day at his place just before training camp kicked off. It would start with players only and having a team workout before headed to the paintball field to form some teams and strategies to take out each other. The day would then settle in at Cale’s house where kids, and partners would be able to come in and meet everyone else as well. Not only are we family on the ice but off the ice as well. Getting everyone together and on the same page especially with the new faces in the LR is critical in order to have success on the ice need everyone to be on the same page and be able to mix in some fun on and off the ice! This is something all the leaders in the Organization believe and will keep it rolling!

I would also take great pride in doing it and insure I did it right because it's not about myself, its about the player being drafted and how momentous the occasion is for them. I was fortunate enough to have the honor of being that just 3 seasons ago myself and I remember what it was like, and I wouldn't want to ruin this for anyone. Plus its a great opportunity to showcase what we're all about here in the Yukon. It can be a chance to showcase the Yukon Malamutes and what the club offers for future draftees and for fans who may be looking for a team to back next season.

Tip Toasty is not the most social player, but he appreciates his teammates and works to make connections in a lot of ways. One of his passions is cooking, particularly healthy food, so he likes to cook big meals for his line mates and occasionally the whole team, who seem to need a reminder there is food outside of the hot dog family of tubular meats. He puts in the effort at every practice and camp, and hopes to set an example to every player he works with. Toasty is known for quietly contributing to the team’s culture and leadership.
Coming into this season, toasty has stated he wants to be a more vocal locker room presence, and helped with scouting draftees in the Season 79 SMJHL Draft. Toasty is still relatively new to the J, and has the goal of taking on more leadership in coming years, and ideally continuing that role once called up to the big time.
