Everyone KNOWS there is a conspiracy to prevent an Ohio team from becoming reality.
Sandusky Snappers - snapping turtle but also double entendre for a snap shot. Also, alliteration baby! snapping turtle head with the jaws open and the tongue forming an S with the negative space. alternate / shoulder patch logo of the snapping turtle shell with specific coloring and patterns forming a block "O" for Ohio.

Hockey has always been a huge sport in the European markets, particularly in the Eastern Europe block and there should be expansion in that area. My vote goes to Kazakhstan.

The J needs an expansion in Forks, Washington. The town is already a tourist hot spot due to Olympic National Park and Twilight fame, and it would be easy to latch on to that branding and draw in at-large fans. It could serve as a farm team for Seattle. Plus the players could train in a unique locale without many distractions, bringing a strong sense of identity.

See: previous expansion team application. To whit: Nashville! The J has St Louis, so Nashville would be a good rivalry for them, but I'd prefer to see an SHL team added there. The central division and top and bottom heavy with WPG/MIN/CHI and then TEX/NOL. Plus Nashville has proven to be a great addition to the NHL, imo, so I think we should recreate that here.

A team in Mexico would be cool. The Mexico City Chupacabra's or maybe the Guadalajara Prairie Dogs? A lot of hockey teams seem to be only in the US or Canada, why not explore some other options? Even a team in Greenland may be interesting lol

The team idea I've always had pinging around the back of my head for the SHL or (more likely) the J is the Vermont Camels, based in Burlington. Vermont is very much my "found home" in my life, and the Camels name pays homage to Ollie the Camel (a roadside attraction that lived on a farm near Ferrisburgh that passed away in 2020) and Camel's Hump (a nearby mountain).

After IIHF created Quebec I knew right away what the next federation had to be:The Moon. It would be the coolest, and bst fed in the milky way (see what I did there hehe)

Columbus, Ohio. To be honest. Anywhere, Ohio would be dope. Dayton Aviators would be cool for a small market idea. You could always pull a Golden State type name with Columbus as well and be named Arch City.

I think there should be a team from Mexico. The game is growing in North America and as we start to expand down into the south might as well take advantage of Mexico City as the next big sporting fan base.

SHL should have a team in Mexico. There must be some market share there, even with no ice super hot temperatures. People would come watch just for the AC. Mexico City Chihuahuas

A team based literally on the equator and when they try to practice they can only get about halfway through because the ice immediately melts (outdoor rinks, obvi) and so it boosts all the other teams rankings.

There are a lot of places still untouched by shl expansion. Like Kansas City or Las Vegas. But I think a more interesting place would be Puerto Rico. Why? I dunno, why not?

The new expansion team should be located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The reason is purely diplomatic, as this is the closest "city" to (41.303, -91.45); the average latitude and longitude of the current 20 SHL cities.

I think that there should be a New York City team. It's one of the biggest cities in the states and has so much history in sports, especially in hockey !
