Well S80 was the season I got drafted into the SHL so I would say it is an important milestone, it's also a nice number to look back on too. However, S100 is the season where the big celebration should take place.

Personally, I think that 80 isn't that big of a deal. Celebrating every 25 makes more sense than every 10. A stepping stone on the way to 100 is the way I would see it, although there is a case to be made to celebrate 80 in a very small way. (51)

Here in Quebec City S80 and the number 80 are very important. It's not just a great number because it's my draft season and the therefore the literal number next to my name. This is also a number important enough to have the french stop counting and start multiplying. Why is there no word for 80? Why is it just 4x20?
Every season we are able to keep ourselves going in a healthy state is something worth celebrating. Naturally, 80 seasons is going to pale in comparison to our 100th when that day comes, but it is still something to take a moment to step back and appreciate. It is objectively more impressive to be standing here at 80 seasons than where we were at 75 seasons, but for obvious reasons we aren’t going to be doing the same kind of public celebrations.
