Well clearely the first thing Nathaniel does after learning about his team's survivor trip is hire ex special forces to go over some of the basic survival things. Essentials such as build a shelter, make fire, fishing and trapping. With these skills in hand, the challanges which will all be either physical or mental are going to be a lot easier to take on without as much of the fatigue that the others are experiencing. If he can even build up his own little stockpile after the merge he will be able to trade things for favors - maybe a nice fish dinner? As far as team up goes it's the same as it always is, Kale. They can fight, and bicker and come out alright which is important when strained. They can push each other to be better, and go for the finals. And if we want extra good tv, put these two on opposing teams and watch the backstabbing and backroom deals commence.

Aging in the professional sports world is a horrific curse and blight on us athletes. Skating tends to be the first thing that goes, on account of speed and natural athleticism dipping. Personally, rather than fight it, I accept it and focus on maintaining my brain and IQ. If I can read plays at a high enough level, I should probably be able to avoid having to skate too hard to get into position. As long as I find myself in a sound spot and stay a step ahead mentally, I can make up for any physical deficit. That said, I also try to stay strong so that I'm able to bully those would be screeners out of the crease. I don't need a little rookie forward coming in and pushing me around. The day that comes I'll hang them up. So I'm focused on hitting the weights and studying the tape. Lower body and explosiveness is in free fall which is fine. Maintaining a killer mentality and constantly training your brain to become smarter to make up for physical shortcomings will have to be the way to go as I approach a world of being one of the oldest players in the league. Again, that and lifting weights so I can cross-check rookies near the crease.

Petr is getting up there in years, and as such the reparative surgeries are beginning to struggle to keep up. Petr used to be send every day training to be better, and it worked, blossoming his career into a resume of consistency and delivering reliable performances. To counteract this constant physical demand, he would take up all manner of physical therapies, such as those aforementioned reparative surgeries to replace tissue like changing car parts. Transplants, replacements, you name it. Whatever keeps Petr in the fight, he would undertake, the government would fun and plan. He is a government asset, after all. Petr was always more man than machine, but now the metal in his body says this in more ways than one. He might as well be the first genuine cyborg. Mentally, there is not a crack in that headspace. The only thing that troubles Petr, is the repeated chase towards gold, however Petr holds firm that the promised, destined gold will eventually come. While Twinkle Toes has the upmost confidence in their outdoor skills and survival skills, the rest of the contestants do not. They have good reason. On the first day Toes was tasked with starting the team fire while everyone else hunted, gathered and built shelter. Not only was he unable to start a fire but managed to take sticks that the shelter team was using and arrowheads from the hunting team after he proudly claimed they were flint. It was decided among everyone else that night after Twinkle went to bed that he would be the first to be sent home. Toes did his best in the competition but somehow managed to do so poorly on his part of the relay that the large lead that the team had built disappeared. Thankfully the team anchor set a personal best and Toes' team barely won and quickly, almost too quickly, sent him home. Toes' was so proud of his team to take on the remaining of the challenge without him. Their dedication to taking the hard road made Toes train even harder once he returned.

Answering Prompt 2:
Teddy Bloos is a firm believer in the importance of mental strength. It requires a lot of mental fortitude to get out there and do his thing. Sure, it may not be as mentally rigorous as being a goaltender, but to be a top notch penalty kill specialist requires a lot of mental training to have the poise to know how to play strategically. The mental training often comes in unconventional methods. Meditation is a key part of Teddy Bloos' off-season training routine. By learning to be mindful and 'in the moment', this heightens his on-ice senses and awareness of how the play develops on the ice. This not only benefits his ability to shut down the power play, but also builds his overall awareness across the 200 feet of ice on the rink. Without this mental fortitude, Teddy Bloos would not have the hockey IQ that he currently possesses, and be a far worse player.

Alexi Piastri has an unconventional training routine that is very different than most other SHL players. Piastri doesn't spend much time at the gym, but he's extremely active and is one of the better conditioned athletes in all of the league. Piastri's primary training routine is catching waves along the west coast, or wherever he may be able to get out in the water and work on his conditioning. Surfing is actually extremely good exercise and has helped Piastri build up his core strength, balance, and kept him in an incredible place mentally. You have to believe that surfing may be behind the quickness and agility that Piastri has been known for throughout his career. Make no mistake about it, paddling around the pool during a 14 foot swell will kick your ass and definitely help you build up your strength. Now that Alexi is a veteran in the league, he's hopeful that all of the surfing that he's been doing will help him prolong his career.

Tiny Princess is very strong, both physically and mentally. This leads to him excelling in essentially every task he is given and being able to brute force his way through any challenge put in front of him. Being paired with Rodwin Dionicio would create an unstoppable and unmovable force to be reckoned with. While camping outside competitions Tiny Princess could do it all. Build shelter, hunt for food, or even punch a tree if he gets bored. The biggest benefit that Tiny Princess brings to the table here though is the fact that he can cook a very good cheesecake out of nothing but stuff found in the wild. Whilst outside of competitions Tiny Princess would be getting his team ready along with him, leading them in daily exercise. Considering that this is something that Tiny Princess normally does, he would try to stay out in the wild with his fellow tribe in order to strengthen his mentality and the mentality of those around them.

(Prompt 1) I kinda wanna be a silly little guy and get up to no good. So by the laws of this game only the winning team gets to send people home? Mhm mhm I see I see. So that means if I do a little trolling my team can never send anybody home and we'll just be there forever. That sounds like way more fun than actually trying I'll save my effort for the last 5 minutes of games we're already losing by 4+ goals that's where the real legacies are born anyway. I'm just gonna ignore any and all assignments and just start running around and messing with the homies (im a lil prankster its not my fault) so that they continue to fail and never win anything. Actively sabotaging my teammates is an important part of building comaraderie and friendship Among Us hockey players. also im not on a team so i guess my entire experience is fueled by schizophrenia, dope.

When you, like Abbe Wass, grow up in a remote part of a country. Your survival skills are great. Unfortunately for Abbe, he grew up in the northern part of the world. and the coach has decided to have a camp in the south part of the world. So there is constant heat, mosquitoes, and undrinkable water. Not the perfect condition for someone who prefers a little more chill temperature. So in this competition Abbe does what he can, to go home early. He runs slow, lifts light, can't figure out the tough mental tests. Both with purpose and without. The warm weather seems to affect him more than he ever could imagine. When the first voting ceremony happens Abbe thinks long and hard on who he should vote on. When the times come for him to write, its PeanutButter Zamboni, whom also seems to have a bit of a rough time in the heat. When the count of the votes is final. Its Abbe who gets to leave first. Apparently he has been a pain in the ass, complaining and saying a lot of “if this was where i grew up..” |
