This made me wonder, do i even have rivals? I think the rivalry between goalies is more of a comradery, knowing we are all in the same shit together :D Merry christmas though to all goalies!
Montreal Patriots - name any and all of the players - they are technically my rivals now - but I do not have any hard feelings against (most) of them so I hope that Montreal turns the big rebuild around and gets the job done - just not at New Orleans expense of course.
Maine Timber likely chief rivals for NewFoundland. It's a nice state and Acadia National Park is beautiful. Logging industry shrinking so hopefully preserve more of their nature and "Timber" becomes a thing of the past...like Maines recent success.
I am sure at least a few of the users are lovely people and I genuinely wish them all a happy and restful holiday season full of beautiful lights in their neighbhorhoods.
Philadelphia very rudely kicked us out of the playoffs last season. But no matter how hard I try I can't say "sim gonna sim" or claim that it was all luck. They've built a very impressive team and should never be underestimated.
San Francisco is cool I guess, they are more north than us and had an earthquake recently so hope they're okay. Maybe we'll be at the bottom of the league together soon and be mad at Edmonton instead.
Yukon Malamutes is a great team that gives me a chance in goal, they also have dedicated defenders who don't hesitate to block shots and also great forwards who have scored countless goals.
A Christmas truce to the S79 Rookie Discord member who I tortured with pictures of a KitKat bar that had been defiled and to my future teammates in Edmonton whom did not take kindly to my degrading comments regarding Jim Carrey movies.
My only rival is my old team the old poopoo face owls. Hasn't been much of a team rivalry the last couple of season because they are managed so well by @RAmenAmen and the rest of that giant warroom. As much as I hate losing to them they are the gold standard I hope Kelowna reflects one day with multiple dynasty teams, cups, and 100+pt scorers. It would also be nice if they weren't so nice so I could hate them a little more.
@RAmenAmen beat me to the punch on this one, but I'm going to have to return the compliments here. The Pride have been a top-two org in the league for this past stretch, and we're sharing a division with them. I would feel bad for Boom, if Calgary weren't perfectly positioned to take the crown when the two of us go down together. Fun fact, my first create was heavily scouted by the Pride, and I would've been drafted by them if a previous Edmonton regime hadn't beaten them to the punch. Call it a trivia point for future SHL generations: Zerg was this close to being a career Lion!
One day Ramen and I will be on the same team, in some league, somewhere. Can't come soon enough.
The history between @JKortesi81 and myself goes back to a heated Buffalo rivalry, but every experience I have had with him has been exceptional. He is genuinely kind, wise, and understanding. He loves this league and has poured a lot to make this place what it is. He will forever be a pillar of our league.
For Colorado, I’d say the biggest rival we’ve had in the last 8 or so seasons since I’ve been back is Carolina. It’s always fun going up against them in the playoffs and they’ve got a great GM duo with a bunch of great users on the team as well!
I would say that the New England Wolfpack are our rivals I guess? So I'll say they are really well run and coached, they seem to get the most out of their players and they have great goaltending.
