I roll myself out of bed and look back at Cheri, who is wiping the sleep from her eyes.
"You know, I really do appreciate all you do for me Cher."
"Yeah, yeah. You just like me because I keep you warm at night."
She wasnt wrong. When my brother died, Cheri was the only friend that I had who would check on me.
Never anything grand or special, but she would always make it a point to look for me whenever I was around her.
"Now Kenny, we need to talk about what our plan is for Christmas."
