Lots of Detroit have different grooves, sometimes we can come together and enjoy music as a team. Here is the Falcons pre-game playlist
No One Knows - Queens of the Stone Age ———————————————————————- Being a 2000s classic, this song has a special place especially in my heart. Not only being made in such a beautiful album, but by such a great group. It also may be familiar from NHL ‘06 where it finds its place on the official soundtrack. American Idiot - Green Day ———————————————— Despite not finding its way on an NHL soundtrack, American Idiot is unarguably one of the best rock albums of the 2000s, this song finds its way on my playlist due to a rock culture like no other. It would also be stupid of me to say this is the only song like it. It also is the debut song to the album, being one of the best ive listened to. Just an old classic that everyone can enjoy Holiday - Green Day ——————————————— It’s another classic. While it may not be the most familiar song, it certainly is another classic that I recommend to any rock fan. Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap - AC/DC —————————————————————- I know all of you have heard of this song before. This is an older song, being made in 1976. The album is centered around the one song, and it sure does not disappoint. Being an automatic classic to anybody and everybody that enjoys music. Never Say Never - Queens of the Stone Age ———————————————————————— Fans of The Punisher may be familiar with this song. It provides both a heavy and mellow style of music at once, it has never had a spark of popularity. Being one of the most underground songs I know. Despite this, it has became a must listen in my playlist. I recommend it to any music fan who has any interest in rock. Especially to my teammates. ![]() Registered Member
I would play these 5 songs in order to get myself psyched up and ready to play in the game.
Song 1: Know Your Enemy - Greenday Song 2: Joker And the Thief - Wolfmother Song 3: Baba O'Riley - The Who Song 4: Blood//Water - grandson Song 5: Bodies - Drowning Pool ![]() Registered Posting Freak
The Boys are Back in Town by Thin Lizzy - Start off with a classic, you can't think of a modern knight if you are not thinking about A Knight's Tale. It is a story of rags to riches where those that put in the work get the payout at the end.
Knights of the Round Table by Monty Python - Need to have some levity about the brotherhood of knights. A jam followed by some light fun to get us loosened up. Baba O'Riley by The Who - The time for levity is over and now we need to get back in the zone. We usually all gather for this one and start getting into the hockey mindset. Not Like Us by Kendrick Lamar - this was the team's consensus of their favorite song in 2024 so we listen to it to remind ourselves that while we continue to improve we have roots from last year and the rebuild Army of the Night by Powerwolf - Time to get energetic and go out there and win! ![]() All-Star Committee Posting Freak
Being a huge nerd as he is, BUST has made a whole playlist of songs with the word Tidal in the title, to play before all games of the San Diego Tidal. The rest of the team does not necessarily agree with the idea and most would rather have songs that get their excitement up for the game and their blood pumping to give their absolute best, but goalies are weird and must be contented and so the team ultimately agreed to suffer through BUST's discombobulated playlist.
The top five songs featured on the playlist are: Tidal - Noah Kahan. Fortunately more upbeat than some of his other songs. Tidal Wave - Sueco. Plays fast and hard, that's good to get ready for a game. Tidal Wave - Nickelback. Very polarizing in the LR, as is normal for this band. Tidal Wave - Portugal The Man. For the players who are more into techno/electro. Tidal Wave - Sueco. The "Na Na Na" chants are very good to get morale up. There is a bunch of other "Tidal Wave" songs in there, but not Hedley's because gross. ![]() ![]() Registered Junior Member ![]() Registered Member
Sabaton - Soldier of Heaven - This song would be the first thing to play when the dressing room starts to create an atmosphere for the match. Gives very good energy.
Darude - Sandstrom - Need I explain this further? A legendary song that takes you along with its tempo. Dropkick Murphy - The Boys are Back - This song plays every time we break a losing streak and return from an away game to the home arena and home games. Eminem - My name is - This song is played for the match decider. Although LR is sung My name is.... And the player's name decides every match. Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody - Smoothes other fast songs with its melody. A calming song that is listened to when you need to calm down. These songs are only on the BedRock DJ rotation. The LR music list is very diverse, because everyone has something they want for the lists and this is allowed for everyone, so that there is something for everyone. These 5 songs are Bedrock's selections from the playlist that I want to highlight. However, each song is different and for a different situation, which brings versatility and variety. Outten Deboonies believes strongly in connecting with mother nature and will do so as well through the medium of song. When he controls the boombox, the flute or the bongos he focuses entirely on songs that conform to this message. First song is September by Earth Wind and Fire. Reminding the team that hockey begins around september is important in case you miss the beginning of the season as Outten did, and so he wants to make sure all remember, while also featuring the elements, very earth like. The Second song is Pedro. I don’t know who it’s by or who Pedro is, but he has a bop. The third song is Hurt by Johnny Cash. Just sorta a favorite of mine, may not be great for morale but I cry every time. Fourth The Greatest Man That Ever Lived by Weezer. You must get into the mindset of a great man to hockey. And Fifth we must go with something that will invoke love and passion in everyone, Wonderwall by Oasis. This should do well to motivate your team! It doesn’t matter if we lose on every game Outten DJ’s because its about the team.

I’m a Ram - Al Green
Starting off our Ram themed playlist with a certified classic rocker, you can’t get more on the nose for the Battleborn than the lyrics “I’m, a ram, yes I am” Ram On - Paul and Linda McCartney We are going to absolutely annihilate the vibes in this building with the pseudo-titular song off the album Ram. I don’t particularly like this song, but if we are talking Rams, you can’t forget about McCartneys Ram. Get Lucky - Daft Punk What’s this have to do with Rams you ask? Absolutely nothing, except it’s the most popular and groovin song off of the critically acclaimed Random Access Memories (R.A.M). Gotta bring back the vibes somehow. Ramblin Man - Allman Brothers Band Another stretch, but I think we all see ourselves as Ram(blin) men, women, or people. Ram Ranch - Grant McDonald Well this one just goes without saying. ![]() Trading Card Team Posting Freak
Optimus Autonomous does not require music. They are able to “get into the groove” without having to listen to an arrangement of sounds. However, many of their teammates do listen to music. After some analysis of the music that the team has listened to together, it would be difficult to put together a coherent playlist that would be enjoyed by everyone. Musical interests among the players span multiple genres. Optimus can recommend artists that are frequently mentioned during their teammates' discussions. Please see below.
Artist: Noah Kahan - This musician has been mentioned numerous times with the song “Stick Season” appearing most often. The artist appears to be of the folk-rock or folk-pop variety. Artist: Linkin Park - This band has been the subject of conversation on multiple occasions and appears to have acquired a new lead vocalist. The band is most often referenced as being alternative rock. Songs include a mix between those from their previous vocalist and the aforementioned new vocalist. Artist: ROSÉ - A member of Korean pop group BLACKPINK, this artist's music has occurred in multiple instances with each instance being different. Artist is most often associated with the pop and hip hop genres. Artist: Jack Kays - This artist blends alternative, indie, and hip hop genres. Various songs have been played on numerous occasions. Artists: Various songs related the the motion picture “Lord of the Rings” - Though song names were not mentioned, orchestral and world music associated with or inspired by “Lord of the Rings” has often been a topic of conversation. This meets the requirements of the task and thus concludes insight from Optimus Autonomous regarding music in the Ottawa Highlanders locker room. [275 words] ![]() Registered Member
1. Yoshimi battles the pink robots part 1 - the flaming lips
Because the pink robots need to be taken down a peg. Yoshimi fails and the robots win, but the point stands that they are just asking too have their asses kicked 2. Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High? - Arctic Monkeys Because it's fucked up! Why can't you call me sober? I'd accept a drunk call at this point 3. It's the end of the world as we know it - REM Because it's been the end of the world since this song came out and people need to know about since we're not acting like the world is over 4. My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark - Fallout Boy Because they do and I don't want them to tell anyone. 5. Lying is the Most Fun a Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off Because why is the song called this? If we keep playing it maybe someone will tell me. ![]() Registered Member
The whalers have a huge variety of music tastes so we have been going around the dressing room letting the others add songs to the playlist, but the favourites all around are as follows
Twisted sister -we're not gonna take it All around just a great pump up song and the favourite overall -Paul Stanley - Live to win, most know this song from the SouthPark episode but gets the whole team in the mood to give it their all Stompin Tom Connors -the hockey song Probably the most well known hockey song and the first song or the last played every game Eminem -Till I collapse, generally liked by all the team with a few that aren't huge on rap but this is the one that's allowed in the mix And finally Ram Jams - Black Betty, another classic song that gets the whole room singing along There are definitely more but these are the standard 5 but the whalers playlist is actually 50 hours long ![]() Registered Not A Weeb Code: Written Option: List 5 songs that are on your team's pre-game playlist, and tell us why they're played (150 word min.) The Carolina Kraken and Honza Havran have created a great pre-game playlist to help the team be hyped up and focused for the upcoming game. Here are 5 songs from the playlist that help the Kraken be at their best. Papa Roach - Born for greatness, great song to pump up the team with. As the name suggest, the team is born for greatness and will demonstrate that on the ice. Equilibrium - Born to be epic, kinda in the same vein as the last song. We're born to do epic things and these theme helps us realise this. Electric Callboys - Hypa Hypa, what's more hype than a song called Hypa Hypa? Sick electronic beats, epic breakdowns, just a great time to get hyped. Crossfaith & Skindred - Wildfire, one of Honza's personal picks. A great beat that prepares you to hit the ice. Great to have a little dance to and warm up for the match. Skindred - Unstoppable, another Skindred pick and one with another motivation message. The team is unstoppable as we go for another win. ![]() Buffalo Stampede Arch btw
Cauliflower pizzas 5 song playlist consists of the following songs.
Eye of the Tiger Obviously an oldie, but Pizza loves this song and it also has a soft spot in his heart because one of his favorite dart players, Raymond Van Barneveld uses it as his walkout song which pumps up pizza. Song2 Another oldie as pizza has little to no taste in music. This song pumps up the head banging fellow that pizza is. He generally turns this song on when he’s playing a great game and is close to a shutout. This means he rarely hears it We Are The Champions Obviously can’t go wrong with Queen. While Pizza hasn’t shown anywhere close to a championship mentality, he does play this because one day he promises he will win a cup. Youth Gone Wild One of pizzas all time favorite song this one comes from skidrow. A band pizza has seen live about 24 times. He even has tickets to go see them again during his next start. Finally Crazy Frog Pizza has this song on his playlist because it goes bing bing. ![]() Big props to OrbitingDeath for the sig ![]() Registered Member |
