S80 PT #4: Last Action Hero Due: Sunday, January 12th @ 11:59 PM PST

During one of the last games of the season, Grzegorz Brzeczyszczykiewicz achieves something truly remarkable, and something that leaves him somewhat conflicted. Goalies scoring goals goes against nature, let alone the entire shebang that went down this game.

In the first period, for the first goal of the game, Grzegorz did something he almost never does: pass the puck. He typically just buries the puck as soon as he makes contact with it, then lets his team worry about establishing control on the faceoff. It's simple, clean, and lets his team know what to expect. This time, some defenseman on the Pride chose to try to ice the puck by sending it right at Grzegorz from deep in his own zone. After all, if Grzegorz covers the puck there, it's a faceoff in HIS end. Having both the game sense to recognize this and the professional pride to take offense, Grzegorz did not cover the puck as usual. Instead, he rifled it to Derek Martin, who deeked a defender and buried it. Grzegorz Brzeczyszczykiewicz had recorded his first career assist.

At the end of the second period, a line brawl erupted. Grzegorz and Justin, seeing their respective chances, snuck to center ice while the officials were distracted and dropped their gloves. The likes of the goalie fight that ensued have never been seen in the league before, and will never be seen again until we get a real sim engine. Grzegorz kicked Justin's ass, obviously. When has the reverse ever happened? That's what I thought.

To wrap up the night, as the third period ticked down and the Panthers lead 1-0, the Pride pulled their goalie. Grzegorz got the puck on his stick, and fired it into the air. He was actually aiming for the backboards; aiming for the net never occurred to him as something he had the option of doing. However, a Pride skater got their stick on the puck, just enough to deflect it, and watch it roll on its side down the ice and into his goal. Because own-goals don't exist in hockey, Grzegorz Brzeczyszczykiewicz had just scored a goalie goal, and in the process had completed a goalie Gordie Howe hat trick.

Since the Quebec City CItadelles have already won the Laurifer Trophy it is time to prove a point Shiny Rainbow was trying to make since last season. The Vancouver are so bad, she could score on them blindfolded. And since Vancouver has improved alot since last season and is actually a serious hockey team again it would actually be impressive amd highlights worthy if she could pull it off. So look out for Shiny Rainbow to step onto the ice with a blindfold on for Game 63 against the Vancouver Whalers and dangling around everyone on the ice including the Vancouver Goalie, with astonishing speed and prescision. And in the end casually skating into the net with the puck still on her stick. That move should make every seasons highlights show and should pump everybody on the team up for the playoffs. The only thing for that to happen which is still needed is the permission of the coaching staff. And maybe a look into the rulebook. Would wearing a blindfold get you a penalty for illegal equipment?

Elvar Gil-Galad was called to Hollywood to be the resident expert for a new goon movie being filmed about a goalie who was violent, but had a heart of gold underneath, but... things were weird from day one.

Elvar was told to dress casual for his task and he happily showed up his first day dressed in a brown bathrobe. Being very tall and very slender, he was mistaken for an extra in the new Tolkien Movie about Rivendell. Too entranced to say anything, he followed along with the cast as they acted out a battle scene between Elves and orcs. He was going to say something at lunch break but the sandwich spread was too good, so he quietly ate along with the others. After lunch, the crowd filmed another few scenes and the end of the day, Elvar was handed $500 cold hard cashes for his work and he went home happy and full of sandwiches.

He never really did figure out he was on the wrong set. He never went back for day two.

The movie in question would try and be one of those larger than life sports dramas about some underground betting scenario situation. The issue with these movies is they never get the hockey right. The mistake they made was letting Willow be the advisor for it. Willow is famously very meticulous about preparation and accuracy for things like this so she's going to have the actors bag skating until they feel like they're going to puke. She'd love it because she can yell at celebrities who make hundreds of millions of dollars more than her that their slapshot looks terrible and they need to get back to practicing. At one point she made Tom Cruise cry during the shot blocking section of her training and she still brags about it to this day. Finally her cameo would be one of the opposing enforcers who hits the star player with a cheap shot in a crucial game because the star player is played by Tom Cruise and it would be funny to hit him like that.

Written Option 2: During one of the last games of the season your player manages to pull of a performance that will be remembered for years to come, the replay that will be making it to all highlight reels for the season, something that might be too unbelievable for a movie. Maybe it is most incredible sequence of saves that have ever been recorded? Most incredible goal? Winning 3 on 1 fight? Goalie goal on another goalie? Is it display of extreme luck, skill or good mix of both? Describe the what happens on ice and what leads to it. How was your player feeling afterwards? Do the opponents involved make it even more special?

Winnipeg faces off against Calgary dragons in one of their last games of the season. The first period ends and the winnipeg are leading 2-0 with an assist from the man, Yuri Boyka III himself to Noah Smith. Second period commences and Nono Jo scores two more goals to complete a hattrick even before the 3rd period. The dragons are super furious now and I believe their game plan was to destroy Nono Jo for decimating them. They picked a fight with him but they did not realize that Winnipeg Aurora has a martial artist on their team. This is no other than Yuri Boyka III. Yuri Boyka III defends the first attempt of the opposition to punch Nono Jo as he knocks them out with one punch. They send others but Boyka kept knocking everyone out. It was as if seeing the movie "undisputed" in an ice rink. They kept sending everyone until they had no one else. What a flawless victory for Boyka III and his team. This ramped up their momentum but unfortunately several players had to serve a penalty. So now we are 10 minutes in and Boyka III scores the 5th goal for the team. That was the nail in the coffin and what an embarrassing event for the Dragons. The fans went crazy for this game as it was the most entertaining thing they have seen.

Written Option 2

In his advanced state of regression, it's incredible that Petr is still able to produce like his rookie season. Half a point per game may not be the best rookie seasons by far, but the fact that Petr is able to best his own younger self is quite symbolic of where he has come from. He may be in his 17th season of play, but he can still teach them whipper snappers a lesson or two, as someone who has nearly 450 goals doesn't come by them by luck alone. Whenever Petr pulls off a signature move of his now, it becomes quite a viral moment especially with how occasional the once common-place moves have become. Cries of "He's still got it!" reverberate through the rafters. Meanwhile, Petr's still cruising through it all as he always has. Just another goal to add to the pile on the path paved with hard work on the way to inevitable IIHF gold.

Oliger Cornwall is a simple man. Most games, he’s happy to sit back, make sure he doesn’t make too many mistakes and turn the puck over, letting his teammates make the flashy plays on and around the puck. However, recently, things have been different for old Oliver. Gus teammate, Louis Belanger @“popol” has been on the warpath of late and has been bullying his teammates, some so badly that they’ve retired to avoid it. Oliver has been hearing it because 60 games into the season, Oliver has yet to score his first SHL goal. This had to be corrected, as Oliver knows better than letting a québécois be right in literally anything. So a couple of days after “the incident”, Oliver saw an opening when the other team went for a line change and took off up the wall. He beat four defenders with his speed as they came off the bench, toe dragged around the last man back, and beat the tendy five hole. And with that, Louis was forced to once more accept defensive dominance

You know just be different let me set the scene like this. The film Brooklyn Physt is asked to consult on. Is the hockey portion to a a detective thriller featuring a heist to steal the championship trophy of a fictional hockey league in Iceland. Of course the main idea was they wanted a thriller, and couldn’t really think of something value worth stealing in Iceland. So having a Nordic themed hockey trophy made of Sterling silver and worth several million dollars be up for grabs could make for something fun.

As part of payment for a lower cost, Brooklyn was offered a cameo in which she plays a player on one of the teams buying for the cup in the trophy game per team in that hailing from Greenland. The film would go on to have a cult like following amongst those who like sport flicks and certainly is acclaimed in Iceland. It would bomb the box offices.

Philly is down 2, with less than a minute to go. If they lose this game in regulation the miss out on the playoffs for the first time ever. If they lose in over time then the proper teams have to fall in order for them to make it. They can control their destiny. Time out called, faceoff in the opposition zone and Base Pack pulled. Here is all of the marbles. Tampa bay wins it, their defenseman clears the puck with a laser beam rising shot, when out of no where Barca makes a diving catch, glove stretched out like an outfielder making a diving snag. The puck drops, he twists in mid air, drops it and smacks the puck out of mid air to a waiting Cale Salad in the middle of the ice who then fires an easy one timer bar down. Barca went crashing into the boards and laid in a heap for a good 10 seconds.
Aroused by this performance, Philly line 2 took the ice and tied up the game just 23 seconds later. Tony Soprano scored the gwg 5 seconds into overtime and Philly kept their streak alive. What a finish.
