Shadow Fenix, having run into a situation where he was replaced in the All Star Game by legend Sconnie McHits, is all too used to the understanding of what has to be done to find a replacement quick. Much like in that situation, Fenix makes sure to skate around looking for former Seattle Argonauts in the front row. That will pick up at least two people. But these two people will be the dedicated Argos of old who are legends in Seattle. That alone will make them basically function as multiple people when they get on the ice. Does it make sense? No, not really. But that's besides the point. From there, we just need a bench, in which Fenix will signal to the home Protoss fleet, and they will use their warp gate technology to warp in some Zealots onto the bench. "My life for Seattle" being their catchphrase as they warp in.

Prompt 2:
Toronto has had one of the most surprising playoff runs they had yet there regular season wasn't that well going into the playoffs with a woping 54 points. This team was lead by lasse Ziegler and had some key losses such as Filip Svatos to San Fran. Entering the playoffs against new England Wolfpack, they were big underdogs. In games 1-2 they split the games Losing 3-0 in game 1 and winning 5-4 in overtime to even the series, so Toronto were heading back to Toronto even up at 1-1 but the clutch nature of Toronto in games 3-4 gave them a 3-1 lead so it is win and move on time so heading back to New England, Toronto was looking to close off an upset and yet again they win in overtime. Toronto's whole first round was winning in overtime, so if they ended up on the wrong side they were going home. Heading into round 2 they were underdogs again against the Philadelphia Forge and in 6 games they closed up another upset, so can they pull off another one against tampa or is Tampa the dog great enough to stop them from a very surprising Eastern conference Championship

Well it's all hands on deck, as we have to replace an entire team. We have the emergency back up goalie on hand so that takes care of that problem atleast. After that we ask any of the people that work for the team if they can play along with the fans in the stands. By the end of the time allowed, we have a team, a couple of high school and club level college players along with some Baltimore employees who play beer league and have some former competitive hockey history. Our new hope and a prayer lineup actually keeps the lead and a win with Baltimore. We end up winning 7-5 with our last goal coming on an empty net. I played a lot of those last 10 minutes and the EBUG played on his head and was a real star. I still can't believe it, all the players get a vets minimum paycheck, along with a bunch of team signed gear and I get to be part of hockey history.

So, after running late for the team pre-game dinner due to some idiot who decided to parks his car upside down on the main road leading from Julian's house to the arena, the shrimp cocktail appetizer he missed turned out to have a big surprise in store for everyone who did manage to get there on time and eat it. With the entire team fighting over who gets to use the locker rooms toilets, Julian needed to find a few people good enough at this hockey thing to not blow the 6-3 lead currently on the board. So with 19 minutes to go, Julian immediately sends someone into the stands to get his dad, a former Swiss professional hockey player, and some of his friends. And that's the story of how Julian Flörsch got to play an official Minnesota Monarchs game in the same line as Minnesota and Swiss veteran Cal Labovitch who happened to be in the stadium and was happy to help out.

SHL GM SHL GM Code: Written Option 2: Write an analysis about a team that has seen significant change to their performance from last season to this (for example Manhattan, Atlanta, Toronto or Los Angeles). What changed? Was it expected? How do these seasons compare to their performance even earlier? What do you expect from the next season for the team? Call me a homer, but I have to talk about Seattle right now. If anyone pretends that the Argonauts were going to do what they did this season then they are lying, and this is coming from their General Manager. Now, don’t get me wrong, we have a burgeoning juggernaut on our hands. However, this was not expected this year. With competing with San Francisco all year, I mean how can you argue that Seattle isn’t the biggest turnaround of the season. Sure, other teams for sure made some massive jumps or some disappointments, but from where this team was just a few short seasons ago, this is incredible. The league needs to be on notice, buckle up…the Argonauts are back. We have one way to go right now…and that is through the roof. The Argonauts will be back on the top soon, so keep your eyes on us, we are coming! _______________ 152 words _______________

In terms of teams that have shown a rapid growth season over season, it was certainly the Seattle Argonauts that made the greatest gains. Where last year the Argos bled goals at inopportune times and found themselves in a deep hole in goal differential, things normalized for us this year and resulted in a positive swing of 97 goals, from -66 to +31. This was largely driven by better performances in net as both goaltenders were able to come in at or above .900, but there is a looming threat building in Seattle given the relatively young age of most of the roster. The team has not even entered its peak seasons in terms of TPE as the young players leading the charge continue to grow and gain experience. For us to see such a positive jump this early should mean that further improvement is on the way. While there was certainly some luck involved in their season, it was not so egregious as to discount the fact that the sheer amount of TPE gains the Argonauts will see should counteract any regression to the mean.

Okay, it'll be incredibly easy to find a replacement line. Edmonton is the best team in the world, so who wouldn't want to play for our prestige? I would personally go up to David Ayres and get him as our God tier goalie. Then, and this is important, convince the entire first line of the enemy team to play for us. It is a win-win. Who would disagree with dismantling their own team and turning their goalie into swiss Cheese? Our opponent already knows they can't win with Ayres standing in front of our goal. Worst case scenario it's a 5v1 with the enemy center desperately holding on for 20 minutes. This night, the third period would break endless records. Two hundred shots on goal, 66-0 game, and a team contemplating it's existence as their players instead go to Edmonton's after party. This shall become a life long friendship with the group, dooming hockey forever.

S80 saw the Toronto North Stars regress from the previous season. For team stats their powerplay dropped from 24.9% to 20.4% while their SA/GP ballooned to 40.85 from 33.63. This is reflected in their Goals For and Goals Against with GF dropping to 220 from 264 and GA rising to 287 from 216. It seems other teams had sorted Toronto's killer powerplay from last season and forced them to giveaway the puck 160 more times than S79. At a personnel level Lasse Zeigler and Aumy Junior II S% came back down to earth. In S79 they were shooting a ridiculous 21.9% and 20.4% respectively. This past season they shot 13.0% and 12.8%. Looking at Lasse Zeigler's S79 PDO of 105, many people could've have predicted some regression to the mean. All said, a combination of luck in S79 along with competition figuring their strategies out in S80 resulted in an unfortunate season that the North Stars hope to bounce back from next season.

The team I'll be writing about is my team, St Louis. The main difference between St. Louis was simply the fact that we had lost significant amounts of people, including our star player. We were nothing close to the team we were in S79, meaning that we were going to be worse no matter what. This meant that our expectations were to also shift as we knew we probably weren't going to have a deep play-off run, so we were just expected to stay paitent meanwhile we lick our wounds for a few seasons and come back stronger. In S78, we were like our S79 selfs, meanwhile in S73-S77 we were like as we are now. Hopefully the rebuild doesn't take as long as it did last time, and we are able to come back quickly and stronger than before. My expectations for this team next year is to hopefully get a bit better, but I don't really expect anything to change drastically.

When I realized the entire team (minus me) got food poisoning, I had about an hour to replace them. Me, Grindle, going solo? Even I’m not that arrogant. So, I whipped out my phone and scrolled through my contacts, landing on the local beer league crew. They’re usually good for a laugh, but could they keep a playoff-level pace for ten minutes? Desperate times, man. Then I grabbed the Zamboni driver—he used to play juniors, right? Good enough.
I did consider grabbing a few fans from the stands, but after a quick glance, I decided maybe that was a bad idea. Finally, our equipment manager insisted he could still dangle a puck, so he suited up too. The ref shook his head in disbelief when we hit the ice, but hey, a 6–3 lead isn’t nothing. With me calling the shots and basically playing hero hockey, we closed out those frantic ten minutes. Surreal? Absolutely. But a playoff W is a playoff W, and Grindle always delivers.

The biggest change this season was undoubtedly the Seattle Argonauts. While they only added 11 wins to their total from last season, they did it while completely turning around their goal differential from -66 to +31. More impressively, they did it without as much of a star individual effort like they did in S79, as no one player had more than 32 goals. Henri Losanov also took a big jump forward with some of the better stats in the league, helping Seattle to eke out victories in close games. While they ran into a wall in the playoffs in the form of a more experienced Calgary team, their regular-season performances did well to put the league on notice and establish Seattle as a contending threat. The big question for Seattle next year will be to see if they can keep the momentum rolling in a tough Pacific Division, but if their players can stay together and keep building chemistry they should be very well-established for many seasons to come.

Slip McScruff has to put together a dream team on a shoestring budget just to hold a 3 goal lead for 10 minutes? He's going to start this from the goalie out. If he was being cute, he'd find the largest fan in attendance because they would do it for free and you might be able to replace skill with size. However, this is serious business and each rink has an emergency backup goalie. No brainer, we put the EBUG in net. Ok, next he has to get some defense. Normally, Slip doesn't get to play, but now is his chance, he can use all the energy he saved by not playing the first 50 minutes. We could probably get away with just 4 more defense to rotate through the spots. Luckily, Slip has been spending his weird off-ice season at some down and out bars with some really tough bouncers. They owe Slip some favors probably, let's call them in. Forwards will be exhausting work, especially for people not used to playing much. I think we can just throw literally the whole training staff on the ice and put together some decent shifts. They'll at least have enough exposure to be roughly in the right position. We don't need to score any goals, so we are probably ok. |
