https://simulationhockey.com/showthread....pid3625945 +3 TPE 2. I think a tournament format with a round robin is always more interesting as everyone gets to face each other at least once. There's more pride involved and it's less showboating. It also strengthens the identity of the divisions and might make some people cheer others that they usually would like to ram face-first into the boards. +1 TPE 11. Dear Mum, You wouldn't have expected a handwritten letter, eh? Well, season is over and as you know by my endless texts and whatsapps, we won again. Quite the achievement by the whole team. We still have a bit of a collective hangover, but we need to get through one more celebration. Tonight we're going to say goodbye to some of the guys who'll leave us for the big leagues soon. Last night out with Peter, Anatoly, Cris, Gordon, Andrea & Randolph - should be a good one. In any case, bags are packed and I'm looking forward to hop on a flight so I can see you all in a few days. Get the Grüne Soße ready! How's dad? Trying to watch as many Eintracht games over here as I can, but they are quite early and usually we're already in the training facility or on a long bus trip. I hope the gym is set up as my coach gave me a specific training program again. Third season in the juniors won't be any easier, especially as we'll have to integrate quite a few fresh faces. Okay, that's enough scribbling from me (I hope you can still decipher my horrible handwriting...). Much love and see you soon! +4 TPE ![]() Registered Member

2. 58 words +1 TPE I like the new format as it lets new players like myself in on some of the historically great players from the league’s past while still giving the new players a chance to shine. Also more people get to make the All Stars which is always fun for people to see their seasons and hard work being rewarded. 10. 104 words + 2 TPE I expect the central to clean up this tournament with some of the all time greats on this roster as well as some rising stars that will make for great second and third liners or pairs. We have Ron Mexico, Jason Visser, and Garbanzo all playing together with a central division that has a lot of individual talent being represented with the likes of Juan Tymer, Anthony Dionne, Chris Valentine, and Lester Oideseur just to name a few, but I think this is perhaps the strongest team to ever be in the All Stars and I would not be surprised if they went undefeated. 11. 105 words +2 TPE HI Mom, I’m coming back to Switzerland this summer early and, no, i will not just be there to train with the National team and no you cannot come and watch the practices like you did last time. (But if you do, can you bring the oranges like you did last time? They were a huge hit with the team.) Looking forward to some hiking with you and I am still bummed I missed the ski season again. Please make sure you are well stocked on gouda as I think I bought the kind you do not like last time I was there. Love, Langston ![]() Shoutout TheOPSquid for the Sig

8. Since I play on the Quebec City Citadelles, it was not hard to find a player who deserved to be on the all-star team: Cristoforo Roccamontepiano. Cristoforo is a past all-star, league leader in points for S79 and S80 for the regular season and led the Citadelles to back-to-back championships. Throw in a couple trophies and you have a guaranteed all-star. 10. This is a stacked Expo; the Pacific is bursting with champions, the Atlantic is full of young talent and the other two teams are right behind them. They all have a decent chance at winning, but I think the offensive power of the Atlantic will prove too much for even the best goalies. As far as actual predictions go, I think that the Atlantic goes undefeated through the whole tournament, defeating the Pacific in the last game to seize the win. The other teams are good, but I can’t see them competing with the skill of the Atlantic or the experience of the Pacific. 104 words 2. This format is a big upgrade from the old one: more hockey is always better, and the more players involved, the funner it is. It will be interesting to see if this format sticks or if they go for so thing else. There was nothing wrong with the old format, but in a stacked league like we have now, the committee would have a really hard time choosing players. 7. This is a really good year as far as all-stars go, but I think I’ve got the best line here. ![]() Best player in the league, no arguments there. ![]() As much as a I hate to recognize a rival, I know that Kim is one of the best in the league. ![]() Great defensive centre with an offensive punch, has great chemistry with Cristoforo. ![]() Leader in defensemen points and assists. ![]() Second in defensemen points, goals and assists, plus that Quebec chemistry. ![]() Arguably the best goalie in the league, plus I just couldn’t put another Quebecer on this line. 3+1+2+1+1=8TPE ![]() SMJHL GM just how deep do you believe? will you bite the hand that feeds? ![]() IIHF Federation Head IIHF GM ![]() SHL GM Beat Nash to 2k

11. Dearest Hip Hurts @juke I am writing a letter to you about my plans for the summer once this season has concluded. I know I could talk to you in person, but I thought leaving you an ominous 200 word letter in your locker stall would be better. It was a pleasure to defend the net with you this season. I do hope that next season we can continue to be "bash bros" on the same line and strike fear into the heart of the SMJHL. This next season will be bitter sweet as you leave to EDM and I go to CHI. I will miss you. Mayhaps we play again in the SHL someday. But I hope I get to fight you in my career. For the offseason I hope to go buy a house in Norway. I figured it was a good middle point between my IIHF Fed Sweden and North America. I plan to go climbing in the fjords and maybe do some whale watching. I will also play floor hockey. Maybe you can come house hunt with me. I am also reporting for the Sweden WJC team. We will be bitter adversaries as you play for the enemy Finland. Good luck on your offseason endeavors. See you in training camp. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Owner Forum Guru ![]() Historian

Link 12. Most Decorated, 3 TPE In the J, the clear winner of the Cedric Robinson trophy for best goalie should clearly be Katharina Rosenthal, standing head and shoulders above the rest of the goalies in the league with a .915 save percentage, 36 wins, and a 23.83 goals saved above average. Beyond just this though I'd like to see more goalies getting consideration for the Ideen Fallah MVP award, and this seems like a perfect candidate to be in the running. Among starters, their .915 save percentage is the best the league has seen since Anastasia Soderstrom in S77, who also won the Fallah. It should be a close decision for committee members, as I believe my player, Cristoforo Roccamontepiano, will also be in the running, finishing the season with 46 goals and 77 assists, for 123 points. This beats out the leading scorer in S77 who finished the season with 101 points, so time will tell how the committee votes. In the end though, Rosenthal would be a player I would applaud if they end up with the trophy. 13. Hall of Representatives, 2 TPE I of course selfishly want to see my old player, Mat Smith, back in the all-star game, but it would be even fun to see some of the old legends from Chicago make an appearance as well. Players like Ryuuji Minamino, Martijn Westbroek, and Corey Kennedy would all be amazing representatives for the Syndicate, and would certainly bring back some fond memories for Chicago fans. Another player that would be fun to see would be the old Tibuk Soonika, especially if he faced off against the current one as they would currently be in separate conferences, it would be interesting to see which would come out on top. 8. Atlanta had an excellent year, and it’s not surprising that I had multiple teammates make the All-Star Expo. The first probably needs no introduction – Jae-ik Barron. He’s making a pretty strong play for the top 3 selections in fantasy this season and led the league in goals (64) and points (121) with a top-5 shot efficiency (20.13%). What’s perhaps most impressive is, despite his nearly 20-goal lead over #2, he wasn’t even first in power play goals AND was tied for third in short-handed goals. It suggests that perhaps he was able to get highly efficient looks despite facing the league’s best and not forcing himself into every power play (even if he was still very good at that). This was an absolute no-brainer and I fully expect his dominance to continue in the All-Star Expo even in the presence of Hall of Famers. I think Billy Herrington, Georg N’Zola, and Stun Gun are well known enough that they also probably don’t need a meaningful introduction and will save my words as a result. (173 words, +3) 12. I think a natural choice for Most Dedicated would be Atlanta’s co-GM @micool132. I know his player is early in his career, but I think micool the user has been so dedicated to the league that he’s even looking out for other players and teams in his sleep! I remember one specific memory he (and/or hotdog) told me about when he had fielded an offer where he actually traded me away in hotdog’s dreams. Personally, I’m of the opinion that if even sleep can’t keep you away from the league and trying to make your team better, then you should be awarded for your dedication to the league. (109 words, +2) ![]() Thanks @Amidships!
