Not one milestone this year. That hurts. Here's looking to better performance and brighter futures in Texas Renegades !

Prompt 2 - 110 Words - 2 TPE
I think that the new format offers a lot new fresh options that the old All star game couldn't quite offer before. I think that as time goes on, the same old format can get a bit old and stale so its nice to be able to just have a change up every now and again. I do hope that this method sticks around a bit at last before returning to the old way or coming up with a new one. The All Star game is never really taken that seriously, so in the spirit of its fun nature, it should be kept somewhat lighthearted and fun.

Prompt 3 - 118 Words - 2 TPE

As I said in my previous answer, the All Star gam should be something thats kept lighthearted and fun. I think in that spirit if we involve the players even more I think that it could be a good idea to maybe do a player draft, where there are 4 main all stars selected as captains, then they pick teams based on everyone selected for the All Star roster. It gives a great way to get people who may not have any GM experience a time to do so, and build some camaraderie between people who may not interact with each other in the league.

Prompt 8 - 116 Words - 2 TPE
Xavier Beausoleil (@Takk806) was selected from the Montreal Patriotes and I think it was a very valid pick. Xavier is a player who exhibits a high level of ability at all times and I think he has more than earned that selection into the ASG. I would expect Xavier to bring that underdog grit that he has had to have this past season and has excelled at dishing out. I look forwardto seeing what kind of contributions that he ends up having on the ice and what kind of impact he'll have in the future for the franchise as a whole.

Prompt 13 - 137 words - 2 TPE
Eh, I'm really not a fan of however the All Stars were picked this time around - there was a lot of talent that I felt got left behind because they were on teams that didn't really perform as good as other teams. On the other hand, there were a lot of picks who I feel wouldn't have been picks in any other seasons. All that said, it could be a good thing to just keep it to 3 per team or however else it needs to be done to keep the representation even. Again its more of a 'for-fun' event so the players don't have to be the highest performers. There can be John Scott types too.

2. The new format for the All Star Game (or tournament, rather) is fun. It adds a little bit of spice to the all star festivities, and makes it something worth watching. I think this season I might actually watch the tournament despite my player not being selected - although in the past I almost certainly never would have, just because it's really not my cup of tea and my player hasn't been good enough to make it. That said, the tournament would be much, much better if the committee overseeing selections chose Kristian Seppanen as a representative for the all-star team, rather than [insert name here, but I'm not saying a name so I don't make someone upset]. Kristian Seppanen is just such an electric player to watch - but I suppose the fans really only care about lots of goals. All gas, no brakes style. Oh well, Kristian Seppanen will step it up next season and make sure he's a top pick for the future. 164 words, +3 TPE

4. I don't know who should be captain of each team, but what I do know is that Jae-ik Barron should be the captain of whatever team he's on. That man has class, leadership, and an ungodly amount of skill. I mean seriously, almost a goal a game?! What is this, EA Sports NHL Rookie Mode? The guy is a class act, and should be captain wherever he goes, or whatever he does, sort of like Sidney Crosby in real life. After that, any of the Atlanta Inferno guys would make good assistant captains, especially that Stun Gun. Otherwise, I take Sad Ketchup for CTL, Adam Barron for NTH because it'd be legendary for Charlie to captain two teams, and Logan Webb for PCF. 123 words, +2 TPE

7. What would be your starting lineup, 3 forwards, 2 defencemen and a goalie for one of the SMJHL conferences?

The Northern Conference has an incredibly slew of players and it is incredibly difficult to choose a starting lineup, so I do not envy the coach! However, I think we can work it out piece by piece. Firstly, I will take the points leader in the entire league by a longshot, and that is the Center - Cristoforo Roccamontepiano (QCC). The long name is accompanied by many points, racking up a total of 123 in the league. For starting Left Wing, I must take the league goal scoring leader - Jason Bourne (NL). The Right Wing will be Randolph Thompson-Smythe, who already has terrific chemistry with Cristoforo. At Left Defensemen will start Peter (QCC) - the one-named assist god with 50 assists this season. At Right Defensemen will be Barcus Juneau (ANC), a fierce offensive player in their own right. The defensemen together will allow for an incredible amount of offensive output that cannot be matched. The goaltender is a tricky one because while QCC was fantastic, I thought Katharina Rosenthal (NL) was amazing in leaving the league in SV% and Game Rating therefore deserves the nod for starting in the All Star Game. The Northern Conference I predict will win the All Star game comfortably due to their tremendous talent.

Write a letter to someone your player cares deeply about from the perspective of your player about their offseason plans.
Dear Sydney Shaw it is Slava Ukraini Heroyam Slava I wanted to reach out to you to congratulate you on a Challenge Cup finals with the San Francisco Pride and your incredible individual performance through out the season eighty playoffs. I think Shaw was the best defensemen in the playoffs by far as the next best defensemen in regards to points are Rowan O'Beirne with fifteen points in twenty two games and Nathaniel Barca with thirteen points in thirteen games player, and three more at twelve points. I was so impressed that Shaw was the only defender to be above a point per game with an incredible eight goals, seventeen assists, twenty five points, being over a point per game and somehow only having four give awyas with eighteen take aways, sixty five shots blocked and twenty seven hits. Shaw had the fifth most points of any player in the finals, led the league in power play goals (6), played in all situations, was top tne in blocked shots (65), had the best plus minus in the league in the playoffs (+20), kept a 1.9 goals against/60 through twenty games and she finished tied for third overall in assists (17). I need to train with you this offseason so I can be as good as you in the post season.

12. Written. Most Decorated (3 tpe)
If I had to make a case for a player or user of my choice to win an award or multiple awards this season at the SHL level I think there is an obviously clear case for who should win the John McBride Award for the best goaltender in the SHL during the regular season and it would have to be Anastsia Soderstrom from the Calgary Dragons. Out of all starting goalies in the SHL who have played at least twenty five games Anastsia Soderstrom is ranked first in save percentage, first in all goals saved above advanced stats (GSAR, GSAR/G, GSAR/x100, GSAA, GSAA/G, GSAA/sx100, GSA75, GSA75/G, GSA75/s x100) which is absolutely incredible. I think Anastsia Soderstrom should definitely be the front runner by far for the John McBride award as Calgary was also not a top team in the regular season finishing in tenth in the league so goalie stats were not inflated by a good team.

4. Which of the teams can field the best first line, first pair or goalie tandem? What makes them the best?
6. Who do you think should be captain of each team? Why?

4. For the SHL, I will have to go with my goat Aaron Wilson, Jarrod Lakemore and Trevor Lahey on forwards, for defnece I would choose Westley Kirkpatrick and Furious Chicken. In net I would have to go with Elizabeth Doyle. This roster futures past, present and future all-stars so a solid mix of all the players into one line. The North Eastern division would be my best roster to choose from. Having experienced how dominant these players have been in their prime, it would be a massive challenge for any other all-star line to go up and stop them.

For the SMJHL, my first line would be Cristoforo Roccamontepiano, Jason Bourne and Randolph Thompson-Smythe, on defense I would choose Peter and Big Sweg. In Net I would choose Ela Solberg. My edge would go to the northern conference since all of these players had great seasons and would be tough for the opposition to stop them. A lot of QCC in my lineup and deservingly so, since their whole team was a wagon this past season.

6. For me the captain of each team should be: For the atlantic division: Flacko Lagerfield, Central division: Jason Visser, North East division: Aaron Wilson, Pacific: Tony Pepperoni. All of these players were great leaders and won many awards in their prime years so it only makes sense for them to be the captain of their respective divisions.

In the juniors, for the northern conference my captain would be: Cristoforo Roccamontepiano and for the southern conference my captain would be: Kenneth Lind

Cristoforo this is their final season in the J and has been such a monster this past season, for Kenneth Lind they have been a steady force on the blue line and has the respect of all their peers in the juniors too.

7. What would be your starting lineup, 3 forwards, 2 defencemen and a goalie for one of the SMJHL conferences?

Looking at the Southern Conference, this would be my starting lineup for the game. The starting goalie for me would be Honza Havran, who had an incredible season for the first-place Kraken. With a record of 27-4-2, they had a 2.43 goals against average and 0.913% save percentage in 36 games. My defensive pair would consist of Ty Justice, who led the entire league in defenseman points with 71, and Pavel Mintyukov, who stuck out on the Ottawa Highlanders this season with 50 points and 17 goals. My forward trio would be Valtteri Pulkkinen, who finished just three goals back of Jason Bourne for the league-led with 53, his linemate Anthony Louchard, who finished second in the league in assists behind Cristoforo Roccamontepiano with 69, and Kim Chaewon, who finished with 97 points. This lineup is well-rounded, boasting some of the best players in the league. They'll be able to keep up with the Northern Conference and showcase their talents.

Tell me about your teammate who made the all star expo! Who are they, why were they an obvious choice to make the All Star roster, and what do you expect from them this ASE? If you are the only player on your team selected for the all star game so far, write who else should had been picked from your team.)

I was extremely happy to see one of my old teammates with the Winnipeg Jets, Jason Visser, make the EXPO80 roster. A true legendary player in SHL history and I'm proud to have been able to lift the Challenge Cup trophy with them in S37. After countless awards and records, 3 challenge cups, and an induction into the hall of fame, Visser should not only be a shoo-in for the roster but would be my pick to be the captain of the central division team. I expect Visser to do what he does best, and that's win. I think I might get a little emotional seeing Visser in the classic Jets jersey, just like the gold old times.

For the Southern conference i would field the line of Kim Chaewon, Anthony Louchard, Easton Schaffer, Ty Justice, Kenneth Lind and Honza Havran. Gives them a good mix of Scoring and Toughness. There are a lot of quality forwards to pick from and feel like this gives this line a great chance to succeed. I might as well do the Northern conference also which is completely staked almost top to bottom in my opinion. For the North i will go with Cristoforo Roccamontepiano, Jason Bourne, Spaceman Spiff, Peter, Big Sweg and Katharina Rosenthal. Rather than staying balanced this line is an all out offensive barrage, they might not be able to stop anything but can you stop them? 118 Words +2 TPE

2. Do you like the new format? Why or why not?

I feel indifferent about the whole thing. I like things simple and original, bring back the civil war North vs South! I really do not like the Hall of famers on teams taking up spots of deserving current players. My boy Olafur Atlason missed the ASE because some dude named SEAN took their spot. Congrats to a player that has no player activity since April of 2024.They are hall of famers for a reason, they all had their time at one point or another in their careers. Now it's time for others to shine and step into the spot light so they can become Hall of famers themselves. On the other hand i love the fact that more players get in to showcase their skills with the leagues best players. The tournament as a whole is a great concept but tweaks need to be made for sure but we are certainly building something here. 154 words +3 TPE

Instead of a game between two teams we get a short tournament of 4 teams. Write your predictions for the 6 game round robin and the playoffs. Do you see it as anyone's game or is there a clear favorite among the teams? How much impact do you expect from the added Hall of Fame players?

I see this short tournament to be tale of 2 teams Atlantic and Central, as much as i hate to say it these 2 teams in my opinion are superior to the Northern and Pacific teams. Even though Pacific is loaded with San Francisco and Los Angeles talent they will need to carry the other representatives to win anything. North is well umm..full of potential and veteran leadership. Very well might be the best defensive team out of the 4. But Atlantic and Central are both loaded top to bottom and i can see it coming down to those 2 teams with either one of them being worthy of winning the whole thing. 113 words +2 TPE

2. I have not been around for a very long time so I am not really sure what the before situation was but looking at the teams it does feel like some teams are over represented. I think that having smaller teams would be a better idea going forward. Maybe only having two lines (six forwards, four defensemen, one or two goalies) per team would be better? Again I am not entirely sure what the situation was before but the teams really feel like they are just combos of the top two teams per division plus a few stragglers. The All Star Team (teams) should represent the very best of what the SHL has to offer. If the two lines idea doesn't work then I still think that the selection committee should decide on what percent of the league should be making the cut and limit the teams to that point. (150 words, +3 TPE)

3. I like the idea of hall of fame players making a return. It is a fun idea and works especially well given this is a sim league. One idea would be that the winner of the tournament between the divisions (or conferences etc) would face an hall of fame team. It would be a chance to directly compare the stars of today against the stars of the past! You could also have different hall of fame teams year to year. That team could be made up of players from every division or just from the division that one the tournament for this year. (103 words, +2 TPE)
