Written 1: Langston might be more of an anti-hero or a side character than a superhero by himself. His character traits are too happy go lucky and devil may care to really be concerned with helping too many people, but he does look out for the younger generation of superheroes that are on his team. His power would probably involve food and cooking on a grill in order to keep situations calm. He would also excel in using smoke (smoker if you will, the meat kind not the harmful habit kind) to block people’s vision.

While he may not be Langston's personal archnemesis, there would be a supervillain known as Regressio. He only goes after the old folks, Expedition 33 Style, and takes their powers from them until they are forced to stop being a superhero. Ultimately, Langston will probably lose to Regressio, but not before having a lot of hijinks and fun along the way.

Written prompt 1

In this very weird alternate universe that is seen through a dimension bending mirror, we can see that Baldur-Ulysses Söderberg-Tremblay has a superpower which gives him the name "The Puckman". His superpower is more specifically to conjure pucks out of thin air and being able to throw them at incredible speeds. This makes him very effective at fighting enemies from a distance by pelting them with the projectiles. He can also conjure them at a point away from him, not always in his hands, so he can trigger puck showers, make pucks appear in very strategic places to make someone trip or block a door from completely closing so he can sneak into places, and other cool creative uses of his power. If he is on the defensive, he can conjure so many pucks at the same time all around him that it creates a force field of some sorts, and very few things can penetrate his armor of pucks. His superhero slogan is "PUCKMAN IS HERE AND HAS NO PUCKS TO GIVE".

In an alternate world, like another marvel universe or something, I put on goalie pads, a stick, glove, and a helmet, all made out of vibranium, and I'm called "THE BRICK WALL" my ability is that I can jump in front of any speeding object: a bullet, a missile, another superhero, and deflect it (and direct it) with absolute pinpoint away from it's target and directly into  (if necessary) my enemy.  My reflexes are immaculate (think Prime Hasek), my aggression is unmatched (prime Belfour), my vision and ability to counterattack is impeccable (think prime Turco), and my awareness (as well as my chirp game) is just plain ridiculous (think prime Roy).

The cool thing about my suit though is that if i decide to "freeze" it, I can take in the energy of whatever is being fired at me. I hold onto it for 3 seconds and then I can deposit it in my suits energy bank and save it for a rainy day.  I once stopped a nuclear explosion by freezing it, deposited it, and have been waiting like 7 months to unleash it on somebody.  I think I'll keep it til I run into the Panthers owner someday and let him have it.

Written Opinion 2:

Well, time to stroke my player's ego in universe, eh? Claude L'Castor, as a captain for the Nevada Battleborn, is expected to be a "leader" on the ice and the locker room. He's been known to occasionally give a rallying cry speech, as documented in "Vegas Lights" and made it his goal to try to welcome the rookies there in the past seasons. He's also somehow been clutch for the team, though regular season has been hit and miss. With him keeping the team in the game for their playoff runs, he's been able to step up. In an ironic twist, when he did not have the burden of being a captain, he was at his most "heroic" becoming "Goalie of the tournament" for the IIHF and lead Quebec to their first playoff appearance.

Though, if we're looking for heroic voices in Nevada, look at Harland Sanders and Oskar Svenguard. Harland and Oskar received the A each in the upcoming season and have done their best to be voices on the bench when Claude's in net, or talk to the ref when Claude can't. Also if a Tiger roars, you listen. Sanders has even been receiving French lessons from Claude due to him being drafted by Claude's childhood favourite team.

Thurston Bull is hit with a radioactive hockey puck right between the eyes. After a quick moment flat on the ice, Bull comes to and sits up quickly. His teammates and medical officials urging him to stay down because of potential neck injuries but he stands like nothing ever happened. He looks at his hands, almost feeling a power surge through his hockey mitts. He looks down at his skates and they feel ice cold, his blades almost glowing. He looks up and gives himself some space as he jumps up high and up above the rafters! Above the retired jersey and up through the stadium ceiling!!!

The Bull makes his way through Texas, skating through the sky, ice under his blades no matter where he goes. He searches for hot streets with bored kids. Upon finding one he skates down toward the street and with a snow shower stop, the street cools down and suddenly becomes a street of ice, complete with red and blue hockey paint and two hockey nets. The kids roar with cheer as they fetch their hockey equipment and get ready to play hockey with their hometown hero, The Bull!

Written option 2:

What is a hero? A hero is someone you look up to. Someone that provides motivation for yourself and for your teammates. This season, the Montreal Patriotes are trying to break through. For an organization that has missed playoffs more than they’ve made and are more often than not bounced in the first round, the players need someone to come in and motivate them. They are bringing back one of the best players to ever suit up for the Patriotes. Multi-time all star and multi- John McBride winner, Brick Wall @brickwall35 . Wall helped carry the Patriotes to the third round of the playoffs in S67, which is the furthest they have ever made it. The organization has brought Wall in multiple times throughout the season and will continue to do so throughout the playoffs in an attempt to help motivate the players. Many of the players have been on the team through the worst of the worsts. Any and all advice from a Patriotes legend like Wall, is welcomed.

Option 2:

You're going to see a lot of posts in here about the franchise record holders, the MVPs, goal scorers, and yes, even goalies. Those are the players for whom the lights shine brightest, and they're definitely the ones that will dominate the Hall of Fame and have their jerseys hanging in the rafters when their careers are done. But if you want heroes, you're going to need to dig a little deeper. You need the players who don't get the spotlight. The sidekicks, depth players, and supporting cast that give the "stars" the chance to shine in the first place. For every Viktor Hargreeves there's an Oskar Scholz. For every Winters and Webb there's a Levin Schattenaxt. Every Hall of Famer has a linemate who didn't make the cut, who did the dirty work so the others could get the points, and you'd better believe everyone in the locker room knows who those players are.

Over Time's career, I've had a lot of heroes on my team, and first among them are my defensive defensemen. Hunziker, Egli, Toasty, Shaw, and a hell of a lot more. Cheers to you guys, because you've sure earned it.

Written Option 1:

Normand Marineau's superhero name would be Captaine de Glace, translated in English to the Captain of Ice. His favorite superpower is freezing opponents, where he's able to shoot ice out of his gloves that freezes the opponent's skates so they can't move. His second favorite superpower is brain freeze, where he's able to control the opposing goaltender's mind to give him a brain freeze, making him lose concentration and letting the good guys score! However, he sometimes faces off against his arch nemesis, Homme de Feu, translated to Man of Fire. His ability to counter Marineau's powers makes for a great viewing experience for the fan. The last time they played each other, when Marineau had the chance to freeze his opponents, Homme de Feu was alongside him, melting the ice. He then proceeded to use his fire powers to add heat to our team's skates, causing them to lose control. But Marineau had a secret power to counter it. His special blizzard power caused a small blizzard-like feel around Homme de Feu, causing all his fire to be put out. Safe to say Marineau won this round!

Option 2 -

Of course, especially in a team-based sport of hockey, one clutch individual effort in a significant game or moment will cement yourself as a "hero" in a certain franchise. However, if one single moment of a player's career turns them as a hero, one single moment can also ruin their career and their reputation. Who cares if the player played extremely well on ice if their attitude of the ice is awful? To me, a hockey hero is a player who is great both on ice and off the ice. It is someone who positively influences their community by caring or even contributing to needs. Although it is their job to get on ice and perform, it is also their duty as human beings to care for the environment, people in need, local communities, and the society in general in a positive fashion. By bringing a good attitude or even supporting specific faculties, only then would I call the hockey player a hero.
