I know I don't look in other teams LRs. Only time I did was when I was an FA and wanted to get a feel for the team's LRs I might join, but I only stayed to one little thread I made in each. Same with when I let myself into the Vegas LR during the activity check a few seasons ago to call them a bunch of
i feel like LRs should be completely private to the players on the team...whether you have a red name or not
But, to echo my fellow commishes' sentiments, Bleak has yet to learn a valuable lesson in life; taking responsibility for one's actions. As you all saw for weeks, he constantly blamed the commissioners for his prior transgressions and continuously attempted to place blame on others. Yet, he never owned up to what he did and fought with us when we would try to explain things to him. It's for this reason that a two week forum suspension was deemed necessary. Maybe in these two weeks he can become less combative and more willing to accept what errors he has made in the past and move on, becoming a valuable member of the league. There is nothing more that I want than for him to be seen as an asset to the league and as of now, he is not one, but I think that can change and I certainly wish for it to change.

Oh totally. I would've left any of the ones I gave myself temporary access to had they asked me to, but nobody asked me to and as I said, I made sure to give them their due privacy.

They are. Toast still has access to Vancouver's as he was Co-GM last season and for whatever reason is still in. According to Hallsy he has something to do. Iunno.

Quote:Originally posted by jkrever@Jan 30 2013, 08:33 PM lol you can say the league sucks, people do that on a daily basis. I know it sucks, that's why you're all still here and we're about to enjoy the start of our 12th season and it's fun
I love the league, it's an awesome experience and I got to meet a bunch of new people and the diversity is great.
I don't think people realize how fortunate they are that disciplinary action here is brought to a committee and not dished out by only one person. Another hockey forum I'm on has 1,000 members and only one moderator, the owner. They decide all discipline and there is no discussion. And the suspensions are much, much greater than here. First is two weeks, then a month, then permanent. And yet that's a place where free discussion and mature conversation thrives. Where nearly anything but personal attacks are allowed. Hell, you can even post porn on the forum if you mark it as such.
Most members here are not even issued a forum ban, just their player is benched a few games. Here, you have deliberation for days while a group of more than a dozen examine: rules, evidence, precedent, intent, impact, punishment and the result of that punishment. The NHL leaves it up to a single person, you have more than a dozen who determine the most fair action possible, and many times people with conflicting interest recuse themselves from the discussion to be sure that all bias is eliminated.
Bleak needs to find a way to enjoy his time here and make everyone else's time here enjoyable as well. There's no reason why other members can make it a year without being suspended and Bleak can't even finish one without causing more havoc.
