First Taylor Correct Letang and Karlsson play the same game lol there the 2 best PMD in the NHL today.

2nd how many of you seriously watch hockey? Gardiner and Reilly WILL NEVER BE A DEFENSE PAIR OUTSIDE AHL AND PP. You never pair 2 puck moving defenders on the same pair its a huge liability. Shattenkirk and Pietrangelo are STL best 2 defenders but they arent paired together because there both puck moving defenders. Karlsson is Paired with guys like Cowen Methot, Letang with Martin, Doughty with Mitchell i could go on forever but i feel i get my point across. People have also all shown some of the best D pairings in NHL history and well all can move the puck well one of them was always better at defense than offense. Gards you guys over hype him before everyone explodes im not saying hes a bad defender but Reilly is much better potential wise. Hes like a JML who was and still is a very good puck moving defender but not a top tier guy. I may be wrong i was wrong about Kadri but i dont see Gards being a top 2 defender if he is it will be untill Rielly matures

Fucking lol. Ima tell you right now you're wrong. Gardiner looked like a tier or two way above Liles last season in his rookie season. He's easily got star potential.

I see more upside in him than 99% of the D prospects I've watched.

Both him and Rielly are potential top star talents. Difference between them is Rielly plays a more aggressive high tempo game and has better hands and works better in traffic. Gardiner is more relaxed and poised out there and it almost makes the game look easy as he easily skates past everyone and makes people look like paraplegics.

And btw I never said they should be on a pairing together. Just can't wait to see them on the same team doing work.

And yes, Phaneuf is bottom pairing and Komi da GOAT is top pairing.

Letang > Rielly in every way.

If rielly was better than Letang with the puck he would be in the league, but he isn't. Hell nhl scouts said he was drafted too high lol.

I doubt Rielly will play top pairing in his rookie year. I'd switch him and Gards.

Blacker might make the team. He's been tremendous for the Marlies lately.

I'm curious if you ever watch JML in his prime? Serious question the guy made it look easy just like Gards does now he's been a consistent 30point dman he's rookie year had more points than Gards in his rookie year. Avg 40points when healthy out judging him on Toronto where he posted good numbers but got less time because of Gards emergence. He's got 6 points in 11 GP this year.

I'll try to find video if Liles in his prime and youth you'll see he's closer than you think

It's not close. Talent level I mean. Plus JML used to be turrible defensively. He was never as dynamic as Gardiner. Never. Not even in his prime.

lol Rielly is a fucking joke. This player is not gonna make it in the NHL. Not even near it. He is a very overrated player. I'd rather take John Scott over him
