We're very excited to bring an elite player in Light to our team. He's exactly what we were lacking last season, and gives us the deepest forward core in the league, at least on paper. Scoring goals was our downfall last season and adding a potential MVP will certainly help.

It's a big price to pay for a one season rental, but with it being Corc and Stud's last seasons, this is our chance to go for it all and I feel this will greatly help us do that.

I accept, the most important part of the trade was the return for my player, but the second most important thing was that I'd trade him to a winning team. Also, this helps my team in two ways.

First off, we do lose a good player, but if free's up some spots for me to get a center in the next few drafts, or through FA or a trade.

Secondly, they're in our conference, and it makes the top teams stronger, and maybe we could get a bit of a better pick, although that isn't the most important part.
