Well Oc - let me make a list for you
1) Wastlund
2) McBride
3) Martucci
4) Storm
5) Boomcheck
6) Myers
7) Seth (who plans on being back to his active self)
I think I am missing someone.... and then all of the new members that are ready to make a name for themselves.
This is going to be a stacked draft.
*these are in no particular order
Corcoran, 'Merica (new), Th3 Undeniable (I think), Lucifer (stud), eh.. all I could think of now.

Okay so these are 7 players... But it's unlikely that the MAN-pick will be in the Top-7, so so much about that.
You are right though that there are some more Recreates, I think currently there are about 12 so you will probably get one of them with the Manhattan-pick still. But not all of them are of the same caliber as a McBride or a Wastlund... But we are probably just valuing Recreates in general differently. I wa just a bit surprised that you accepted that offer, that is all .
Quote:Originally posted by Aaron "AAA" Allen@Apr 2 2013, 08:25 PM This is also a bold move prior to free agency to show potential free agents the direction the Rage are planning on going the next 2+ seasons, so if that helps us attract some of the higher end free agents over other teams this also adds to the value of this trade...
Bottomline is we expect to be one of the top contenders for the cup in the next few seasons, so for those of us who have been in Manhattan awhile and suffered through the 8 win seasons, I am estatic that this deal got done and I am looking forward to seeing us add some free agents to the team....because if you think we're done...we aren't.

It is a supplemental trade. I have 4 1sts in S14 now in one of the best drafts we have seen in ages.
I am sure to get some serious talent in that draft and I wanted to add to the crop. That's it.
We were REALLY happy to get Nike, a local New England kid that will fit into our future plans PERFECTLY.

You are basing off name and not off what they do.
BAM, someone frame this, No-one can really say it better.

My god, some people are so overhyping this Draft already  . It will be a good one for sure, but Recreates aren't as sure of a bet as some like to believe, and even in the "super draft" having a pick in the 9-12 range doesn't guarantee you a player such as Willems or Sto Helith. And even if it does, it'll be at least another 2-3 seasons until that players makes a significant impact.
two great players for 8 seasons would still be better than two elite players for 2 seasons, you have to think of the future and Manhattan is taking a risk. D_A thinks he can re-sign them because no GM would give up those kinds of assets for a two-year rental. Guarantee it. I know what's in his head because I'm a GM and I said 'no thanks' when I heard they're on the block.
The reason I said that is because I don't like the odds of keeping them as they probably would go back with Ace, and with two first round picks out of the fold it would hurt my chances of keeping a dominant core together for the long-term.

I never said that NE wasn't in a good position for the future, hope it didn't come over like this, I just think that Manhattan did a little better in this trade. Plus knowing some of the stuff that has been going on today, I was just a bit surprised that this was the offer you decided to take .
