Since the trade was processed when I was well asleep, I'll reply to some of the comments.

You sure you want to take that bet, what will be the odds? Might bet against you then.

Yeah, they will be back in Boston when their contract is up.

The rule is that if you can't go back to an old team for a full season. So you were right that it would be against the rules if we would have had 1 year contracts. It won't be an issue here though, I will probably return to New England someday in my career, but it might be only in my closing years of the career, I have nothing planned yet then to remain on a competitive team.

We didn't ask to be traded, but we told Ace we would waive Sarah's NTC if it could help out the team in the long term. Which we did for multiple deals last night.

Gooseneck wasn't going to re-sign with the Wolfpack after his contract was up, so it's understandable that he started to get some assets back for the future. Same would go for Chuck who has been nothing but fantastic for the franchise, but is an older player and would regress before the team would be play-off material. The only exceptions would be me and Sto Helit, but he liked bringing in new players/picks that are in the same development stage as the team. He wanted to give us the option to win some cups elsewhere and he hopes his loyalty gets rewarded later. Only time can tell how it will work out.

I think Ace made some big moves for this franchise and shows he has a great vision for the future. I want to thank everyone who I played with in Hartford/New England the last seasons, it's was a wonderfull place to be part of despite our losing seasons.

Thanks to diamond_ace for the trust to trade for me, what Krever mentioned was probably a concern for a lot of people, so I'm glad you felt comfortable enough with us to make the deal.

I think both sides made moves that needed to be made.

I like this deal for both teams. Ace picks up some nice picks and players for the rebuild while Manhattan acquires a pair of stars. I don't anything is ever set in stone, even if the plan right now is for Green and Greebsie to return to New England at the end of there contracts I don't think that's a guarantee by any means. A lot can change in a couple seasons.
