APRIL 6, 2013 TORONTO -- This is the Stars of today. #StarsNation #LiveAndDieBlueAndWhite Abdalla, Maxfield, Hogan and Krever. That was the North Stars of yesterday. The Scherbluks, Wongs, Pajari, Schenn, Chiclets, Serpe, Smith, Thomas, Patches, Clarke, Richan etc. That, is the North Stars of today. That was then. This...is...now! Stars of today The Toronto North Stars may be facing adversity this season with Honcho getting older and older. But, you cannot deny the hope, the desire and the courage of the Toronto North Stars. They finally won a playoff series. Now, they want the cup. They are hungrier and more determined than all the years past. This is the strongest team the North Stars have ever had in my opinion. But, the Rage and Platoon have made huge jumps. And the Hawks and Chiefs still are one of the best. But the Stars don't care. Because they will stop at nothing to win the cup. GM B. Wong says, "Some teams go all out. All in we can say to win the cup. But here in Toronto, yes we are getting older, but we still have a couple of seasons ahead of us. And when the vets retire, we got youngsters like Nathan, Smith, Clarke and the newly acquired Buttons to fill in. We also have Mike Aalto that we have high hopes for. The Buttons and Aalto will probably spend a season in the minors but next season, I expect great things from them." GM Ben Wong The fans of Toronto still want a cup. But, the streets are covered in blue and white. Here are what some fans had to say. "This is the city of blue and white. The Stars, they're hungry. And so are the fans. Go Stars go!" "A few seasons ago, it was just Spezza and Wong. Now, it's the whole damn team who can score and defend. We got this. Live and die, the blue and white. Stars, for the win" The fans want the cup, the team want the cup. But, it will be a hard task going forward this season. The Rage have gotten a lot stronger! The hawks will always be the hawks. They will always be good, and since this is the last season and since this may be their last season to compete, it's now or never. The Chiefs are the defending champs and the Platoon got better as well. But the Stars don't care. They will stop at nothing, to finally win the cup. B Wong "The Rage will be our toughest competition for sure," he said, "but the Stars don't mind being put as underdogs. That's how we do better." he continued. The key players of the roster for the North Stars will look like this; Centers Yousuf Scherbluk Charlie Chiclets Robert Spezza Nathan Wong Wingers Benjamin Wong Grigory Pajari Phil Schenn Dave Smith Rashad Thomas Defence Darian Scherbluk Dean Clarke Aidan Richan Patrick Pelletier Chris Serpe Will this be the year for the Stars Code: 501 words |
