Primary Purpose: To coordinate and direct the league's welcoming committee.

Nature of Work: The SHL can be a confusing place for new members, and they often struggle to get off on the right foot. The job of the Welcoming Committee is to guide these new members of our league, and send them in the right direction.

The Welcoming Committee Manager will have to oversee the work of the rest of the Committee. This means that he will come up with a system for assigning mentors to each new member of the league, who will then go on to assist the member with any problems he or she may have.

The Manager should be very dedicated to this job as strong communication with rookies is of vital importance to the continued growth and development of our league.

In addition, the Welcoming Committee Manager may be tasked with easing the entire process of joining the league. Some ways this could be done include but are not limited to How To videos on creating a player and training, as well as cleaning up the boards and providing easy-to-access links to some of the guides our members have already posted - as well as creating new ones.

Responsibilities: Hiring and managing a team of five (5) Rookie Mentors to be a part of the Committee; create a clear system for assigning these mentors to each new member; ensure strong communication between our rookies and the mentors (along with the rest of the league; actively attempt to ease the transition to the league through the use of any number of new initiatives.
